Good idea, poorly executedby Amazon-orderer (1 out of 5 stars)

I'm literally writing this from the airplane (still on the runway) where I tried out this footrest for the first time--and the strap immediately broke on one side. Like, literally the very first time I put my feet into it. Ridiculous. It was obviously really badly stitched on, and I imagine the other side will do the same shortly. I was actually able to tie the strap back on so I can still use it--and it definitely really makes sitting more comfortable! So, great idea/concept, but piece of junk production.
Big Feet and Small Feet---they fit.

I really like this product. I have not had a chance to use it on my flight yet, but I did take it out and try it in the house, and it fits me just fine. I have small feet (size 6-7 depending) and I did not feel I had the same issues as some other reviewers. I had my daughter try it (size 10-11 depending) and while it was a tighter fit, it still was doable and comfortable.
I suggest you read your flight details closely because you might need this product. We have upgraded our seats, but on Delta it seems that even the upgraded seating does not include footrest (China Airlines does). A footrest makes all the difference in reduced swelling. I have high blood pressure and even with extra legroom, I have issues with swelling. I am short--5'1---and other shorties know that having a place to set our feet is important. In some seats I am just dangling and it makes the swelling worse and seating uncomfortable. This product will alleviate that.
It closes up into a really small little bag, and it will not take up much room at all. Another PLUS---you do not need to inflate it. You just unfold and it is ready to go.
I say I love it but haven't had an opportunity to use it

I say I love it but haven't had an opportunity to use it. I will be taking it on a flight this Fall. I do love the idea and think it will work really well. I intended to restitch the product as some people complained about it coming apart. Nope, won't need to do that as I see the stitching is strong and should hold up well with use. I often try to plan something to go under the seat in front of me to rest my feet but when I saw this product I was sold. Hoping it works well for me.
Broke after one trip. Poor quality.

This seemed like a great idea for traveling and it was. However it only worked during one round trip. On my second trip it broke. Yeap, the strip just ripped. Therefore I can only say this is very poorly made, low quality product. I'm 5 2' and petit so there was not a lot of weight on it for it to break so easily... I
contacted the manufacturer but haven't heard back from anybody. It's a shame because I really wanted something for traveling.

I had planned on taking compression stockings but I didn't like the added heat and hassle of taking them on and off. But after experiencing leg pain in my upper thighs while traveling to New York I decided to go ahead and order this for my Europe trip. Very glad that I did I used both directions it did take off the pressure on the back of my legs one of my seatmates tested it out and she was definitely planning to buy one
GOOD FOR THE LONG HAUL

I used this product for four flights recently (two separate airlines and four different plane sizes). The footrest works well with standard coach table trays; however I had issues on one flight where my table tray did not secure properly and my footrest kept tugging on the chair. Apologizing to the occupant in front of me a few times, I was finally able to make it work.
PRO: Compact & lightweight and sometimes a good conversation ice breaker.
CON: Would prefer a a sturdier build, but can't really complain with the price paid.
New permanent addition to my travel accessories.

I travel A LOT and I'm short. I recently got this and took it on my last trip. It made a huge difference in my comfort on the plane! My feet don't reach the floor well when I am sitting in an airline seat. I have tried several things and had basically given up on the idea of being comfortable. I used the portable footrest on my last transatlantic trip and it was awesome! I could rest my feet or pull it up to my calves. I was so much more comfortable than I have been.
I will say that, due to comments in other reviews about the straps breaking, I sewed a small piece of very strong fabric over the metal rivet to help support the strap a little better. I did not baby the footrest at all on the plane and I never felt like I was in danger of breaking it.

On most planes now the seat in front is so close to you. The footrest ends up too close to allow you to fully extend your legs. And the strap does not extend long enough to stretch out your legs fully (and I'm only 5'3"). You have to sit with your knees bent. And the footrest is not flat under your feet as shown in the photo. You have to stack one foot on top of the other which gets quite uncomfortable after a short while.
Just buy this thing already

I have short legs, and my feet never fully reach the floor on airplanes. Since the majority of my travel is between the US and Australia, I thought I would give this product a try. What a difference! My legs and feet were not nearly as swollen and sore as usual! This is a great product! I strongly recommend this to anyone!

This is really great for travel, I was iffy at first and didn't think how this would help, but its great to rest your legs/feet during trip. Highly recommend it.
