I'm on a low carb diet, and I thought this would be a great cereal to try. The order arrived Saturday. I'd just finished a 2 mile walk - and I'd had a lot of water to drink as suggested in other reviews. I tried a bowl (1/2 cup) with almond milk and a little fruit. It tasted ok - nothing spectacular. More water. More walking. Nothing. More water. More walking. Nothing. I decided that another 1/2 cup bowl might work, so I had another 1/2 cup bowl that night for dinner. More water. More walking. Nothing. And then the cramps started. I was up all night with stomach cramps and gas. I had many "false alarms" throughout the night. But nothing. Based on what was happening in my stomach, I was almost afraid to fall asleep, but I finally did around 4 a.m.
The cramps were gone the next morning. I had a "normal" low carb breakfast of coffee, bacon and eggs. Nothing. We went shopping - did a lot of walking - nothing. We needed to make a quick run to Walmart, and as soon as I stepped in the door it hit me. I had to go. Like right then. Luckily, the restrooms were by the front entrance. I'd like to take a moment to express my deepest condolences to anyone that was in the other stalls in the restroom. It wasn't pretty. And I couldn't stop going. I remember thinking, "So this is how I'm going to die. In a Walmart restroom." When I finally returned to the store, my husband looked concerned.
I had 2 less traumatic movements later in the day, but I stayed close to home. I was NOT going to risk another emergency. After another crazy bowl movement this morning, I'm beginning to wonder if I've done permanent damage to my digestive system.
Bottom line - it works - you just may need to wait for it. DON'T eat more than recommended. You'll regret it.

Ok first off this is not going to taste like your regular store bought cereal. It tastes like card board. BUT it really really works! I lost three pounds in two days when I added this to my diet. And I have found a couple recipes that make this cereal taste actually pretty good.
1/2 cup cereal+coconut milk+fresh berries+stevia
1/2 cup cereal+coconut milk+1 tbs almond butter+dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup cereal+Greek yogurt+fresh berries
Or make your own trail mix with cereal, dark chocolate chips, dried berries, nuts, and whatever else you like with your trail mix.
Tip: be sure to drink lots and lots of water otherwise you won't be able to pass all the fiber.

By the reviews, it is evident we all have different tastes. I think this cereal is delicious. But I will admit I eat with unsweetened almond coconut milk. But I think it would be good with regular milk. The health benefits of sorghum are remarkable! I am unsure of its name claim cause I have not eaten it enough. Only this morning. I am wondering about the psyllium husk causing gas though. I'm not sure but will see as time goes by. Other than that, if you love grains, this is a great cereal. But I don't know why it is so expensive. I only eat a 1/2 cup and I measure it due to the price of it. Not yet sure if I will purchase again. I have digestive issues and if this ends up helping them I will buy again and again.

My first impression was that the bag this came in was rather small for the price of the cereal. Second was that this reminds me of the chow you buy for a puppy, chickens or a hamster. None of those things are terribly appealing after paying the price. However, it is hard to find an easy to eat cereal that is high fiber and low carb on the stores I frequent. It wasn't so when Atkins was all the rage 10 years ago... but they are hard to find now. And I recently had surgery and was required to up my fiber content...
I measured my 1/2 cup of chow (lol), added a packet of splenda and added enough Silk coconut milk. It is a perfectly edible cereal for those of us that miss the crunchy and wet feel of regular store bought cereal but are in a low carb/ketogenic/Atkins-like diet. Because 1/2 cup is a small portion and I ate it quickly it didn't have an opportunity to get soggy. The pellets are hard so I'm thinking you'd have to let it sit for a while for it to become mushy. I actually liked this cereal better mixed in with greek yogurt and splenda. That combination was so good that I will augment my rating to 3.5 stars and will average it to 4. It does have a lot of fiber as advertised and at least for me it is working. I am very likely to finish the bag but I am not sure I will re-order unless they lower the price.
The name is funny - but honestly they could change it to something less gross. Having the word POOP so big on a bag of something meant for human consumption makes me giggle, but may turn some people off.

I will buy this cereal over and over.
First and foremost: IT WORKS. The large quantity of fiber does what it claims to do. I consider it a bonus that I've been less bloated and more comfortable since I've been eating the cereal. Super-duper bonus - NO GAS.
I don't recommend eating the cereal on its own. Get your 1/2 cup cereal and milk in a bowl. Mix in a bit of a sweetener - sugar, agave, I don't care - and then let the cereal sit for a couple of minutes. The pellets are hard and dry on their own; here, they will absorb a small amount of the sweetened milk. Before you eat it, mix in 1/4 to 1/3 cup fruit - peach slices, banana slices, blueberries, whatever you like! And -- ENJOY. The cereal on its own is like eating cardboard. Doing what I've noted really makes it a tasty experience.
I've already ordered another bag. Each bag says it has about 10 servings at 1/2 cup each. (The photo in the description says 7, but my bag says 10.) Two bags will be approximately 3 weeks of cereal if you eat one serving per day. Yes, it's expensive, but so are medications and laxatives and all sorts of other nonsense. You can go buy a large value meal at McDonald's for $10 that will make you happy for about ten minutes and then regret your decisions for the next four hours, or you can buy this $12 bag of cereal that will give you plenty of benefit in return.
Tiny amount is way overpriced.

This product is way over priced for the amount of actual cereal you're getting. Maybe 3 servings total. And the taste is almost unbearable, I had to add other ingredients to make it slightly palatable. Would not recommend!!! Waste of money.
