Compared To Nerf Set

I had first purchased the Nerf Laser Tag set and loved it. Unfortunately, one of the guns stopped working after about 20 minutes of play. When I went to return, the Nerf guns were out of stock, so I got these instead. These have been great...have had them several months now with no problems. Comparing the sets, I think both have pros and cons. The Nerf set looked a "liitle bit" cooler (not much, but a few more fancy flashing lights), but I like that this set has the option to change between sound effects...shotgun, missile, etc. These guns are also slightly more comfortable to hold/grip. Everything else was about equal...weight of guns, gameplay otions, etc. Overall, I have to say I'm happy with these guns, they are equally fun to play with, the kids liked them about the same, and most importantly, these worked!

Amazing customer service!

These have been a HUGE hit since we got them. We couldn't be more pleased.

UPDATE: I'm sad to report that one of the laser guns only lasted for a little over a month. At first I thought it was the batteries that needed to be replaced but unfortunately new batteries did not fix the problem. My kids are so heartbroken over it. It was amazing while it worked. Sadly the return window closed a month and a half ago. I'm going to try and contact the company to see if there is anything they will do. I will update accordingly. At this point I have to change my railing from a 5 to a 3. If you get guns that work properly then these are amazing.

UPDATE of the UPDATE: I contacted their customer service through their website by email. I received a quick response from the company saying that they are reviewing it and that they did in fact receive my email. Not too long after I heard back from a customer service representative who took care of the problem immediately. I'm very impressed with how warm and accommodating they come off even through their emails. With an amazing product and amazing customer service like that you can't go wrong buying this.

I am very impressed with the quality of these laser tag guns. We have been looking into activities to do outside for family gatherings and I know this will be a hit. I bought these for my 9 and 12 year old nephews and they love it. The sound effects and being able to switch weapons is really cool. I am almost 40 and I have fun with them as well.
I do want to add that some people are writing reviews complaining that the distance the guns get is not that great and only respond when they are within 20 ft of shooting each other. This is NOT TRUE. I have tested at 100 ft repeatedly and they work fine. The shotgun mode however is meant to be a short range weapon and THAT mode does only register around 30 ft like it should. Maybe they just didnt understand what weapon mode they were on. For the price these guns are great.

UPDATE: I bought 2 packs of guns for a total of 4. The first pack I opened to give to my nephews which they loved. The second pack of guns I opened today, a few days later from opening the first. The white gun does not register hits. I emailed the company and they responded the next day which was on a weekend so I was impressed. They apologized and said a new set will arrive in 2 days!
I will be buying even more to have giant team battles for family get togethers. Everyone young and old enjoy them

Works great BUT

These guns are a blast. my son loves them however the white gun had a speaker and power switch problem which I am sure are related. I returned them and ordered replacement. I will update: 7/27/2017 Received the new box and the blue gun would not even turn on. I called the company and it sounds like they are aware of some power switch issues and they offered to make it right. I decided to return this to Amazon and order one more time. 7?29/2017. Opened the new box of guns and the white gun had a power switch that would not work. after jiggling the switch for about three minutes i saw a light flash. I continued this several more times and the gun came on. I have been using it a couple hours and for the most part it works, however this is exactly what happened to the first order and it eventually lost sound from the speaker. These guns surely have a power switch issue. This same switch is used to reset the gun after each kill series and needs to be fixed with a better system. I am removing one star because of this extended issue.

After using the third delivery of this product for a few hours I accused my son of cheating and resetting the gun. I had to apologize to him when he told me the gun was doing it by itself. If the gun is Jared it can reset. This is not good and will now return the third set of guns . Thank goodness for Amazon. So to conclude both guns had issues this time.

Extremely fun!

I don't usually post reviews, but I think this is definitely worth taking the time to write about.

With regards to functionality, these work perfectly. The sensor isn't too easy/hard to hit, they're easy to use, and they feel pretty solid for a pair of plastic guns. The carrying case is sturdy, makes them easy to store safely and carry around, and looks almost comically legit for a carrying case for two plastic toy guns.

I originally just bought these for my girlfriend and I to use to decide who has to do dishes after dinner, but my family can't get enough of these things. My nephews and younger cousins all LOVED these things, and all of them independently brought up wanting them for Christmas/their birthdays. Even my dad, who has health problems and doesn't get active as much as he should, was chasing me around his house playing with these things with me. I'm about to go back to college in a week or so, but I think I'm going to get another set of these as a parting gift for my nephews.

Not bad, but not as nice as the BCP guns

These guns are virtually identical to the Kidzlane and BestChoiceProducts guns for sale. We have a 4-pack of the BCP guns and got these to add to the set. The white one works well, but the blue one doesn't register any hits - you can shoot it 10-12 times and it'll only register one shot, so this set is going back. Judging by the reviews you probably have a 10-20% chance of a bad set, so make sure you order from Amazon or a seller that offers returns.

These Dynasty guns are the same shape as the Best Choice guns, but those have a better paint scheme and feel like they were made with a nicer grade of plastic; these have a matte finish and the BCP guns are heavier and have a gloss finish and more detailed design. The power switches are also weird on these, you have to click the switch twice to turn them off/on (it's like they put in a 3-position switch but only wired up two positions). If you're choosing between the two (and you have young kids like me who don't always take the best care of stuff), I'd say to go with the Best Choice guns instead since they seem more durable, look nicer, and have worked better for us. (Haven't tried the KidzLane ones so I can't speak to those)

Dynasty Toys has great customer service! We received the blaster pack and one of the guns had a small manufacturer defect. I contacted amazon and the only option was to return and reorder. The one gun in the pack that was functional was phenomenal. Not wanting to endure the wrath of my children waiting for the return process I reached out to Dynasty directly. They went above and beyond to correct the issue. I received a timely response. I truly feel they aim to make their customers happy. Defective Gun

I purchased this Laser Tag Set for my son's birthday. The guns themselves seem really nice and the carrying case was well made. My kids were very excited to play tag. Unfortunately, one of the guns does not fire. It will turn on, but something in the trigger itself must be defective. Its very disappointing to have a birthday present be defective out of the box, but I thought I would simply exchange it for a different set. Amazon wouldn't permit an exchange, though. I have to return it, wait to be credited back and then repurchase the item. Because the item is defective and the return policy is awkward I have given it a one star. I have contacted Superb Shopper and I am hoping to receive some help directly from them.

Not reliable

Bought a pair of these and they did not make it 3 months. Were great when they worked; however, the first unit lost audio, would not fire or load. The 2nd unit has just started acting flakey - works some of the time. I'm an electrical engineer and have worked in high volume manufacturing. I took a unit apart expecting to find a lose wire or power supply issue; however, wasn't the case. The wiring was fully in tact and looked thoughtfully designed and the power supply was regulated and accurate to better than 1%. I suspect there is a part(s) that is not rated for the 5V supply they are regulating to and the reliability is suffering. This means devices are going to fail early and unless you buy one new and play with the supply regulation will not be practically repairable. While these are cheap, my son loves them, and I could look at the price as a long term rental, I can't justify dumping a pair of these every three months into a landfill. Too bad they didn't charge 2x and build a reliable product - I would buy it.
