Poured, not constructedby JC (1 out of 5 stars)

I was a big fan of Superfeet's prior sandal, the "flp", which were intricately structured, with different levels of support for different parts of the foot created by using multiple materials in the heel, arch and forefoot, and were rigid and elegant enough to be plausible as a sandal /shoe instead of a flip flop. These new versions cost as much but seem not so much "constructed" as poured into a mold. The one material in the foot bed is comparably squishy, and contains little of the care of the prior model; the vaunted heel cup is shallow and flexible instead of supportive. The straps are narrow and, now, nothing stylistically distinguishes these from a pretty ordinary, sloppy flip flop. You would be better off taping some of Superfeet's excellent insoles to your feet for real support. I have no idea why a company known for a quality product would try to get away with putting these on the market at this price point.

Better than most flip flops

I like these flip flops. They have much better arch support than most footwear of this type. I have had problems with my feet for years. Mainly a high arch and the pain and tightness that goes along with that. I'm not going to sit here and say that these solve all of those problems, but they're better than most flip flops. Especially in this price range.
The faux leather feels pretty good. The strap is secure on my foot. My natural step is much more athletic in these shoes than in most other flip flops. I can confidently step up and forward knowing that the shoe is going to stay on my foot. The strap is a bit further back than others I've worn, but I think this leads to the security and confidence in my step. The sole of these is also quite solid. Much more than most. I can comfortably ride a bike in these and have a solid platform to push against. It's nice for rocky terrain as well. The grip is also pretty decent.
Overall these are a solid footwear choice that look minimal, perform well and inspire a more athletic step.
Bad design by Superfeet. Toe post is too far back.

Major flaw. Otherwise they are made well and have a nice arch support.
The toe post is too far back which causes my heel to hang off the back. Moving up a size may present a tripping hazard with too much room at the front.
Superfeet needs to redesign these with the toe post moved forward 1/2 inch.
Sandal is too big and too small

I was a little baffled that many reviewers found the sandal either too big or too small when purchasing their regular size and I know why. I wear size 12 and ordered size 12 and the arch fits correctly, but there is lots of room for the toes and not enough for the heels. It's an odd toe thong location. Not my foot, not the prettiest foot out there but I have plenty of sandals that all fit well and never even considered something like this could be a problem. It is, sort of, might send them back.
so I really expected to like these, but ultimately I don't

I'm a proponent of Superfeet insoles, so I really expected to like these, but ultimately I don't. The heel cup is really deep, similar to the insoles, but this feature really just doesn't work with a flip flops. The problem is that as my feet flop around in them, as I expect for flip flops, sometimes my heel lands on the edge of the very deep heel cup, instead of in the center which makes them a bit uncomfortable to walk in. Having said that, they seem to be well-constructed, similar to Chacos but much less expensive. At the price point I bought them, I decided to keep them as household, shower shoes and back-up flip flops for running an occasional errand. But I wouldn't want them as my everyday, walking around, outdoor sandals. For this puropse, my advice would be to spend more and buy a pair of Chacos.
big help for painful feet

I suffer from 2 neuromas in one foot, so I'm very sensitive about my footwear. These sandals aren't just the only sandals I can comfortably wear, they are currently my most comfortable footwear of any kind. I use green Superfeet insoles in most of my shoes, but even with the widest shoes I still experience some painful constriction around the ball of the foot. Not with these sandals, though. I can't comment on durability but for comfort I couldn't be happier.
Break In Period is Rough
by Sam W. (4 out of 5 stars)

I saw these at our local running shop and thought they looked very comfortable. I am working through a plantar fasciitis injury and they are extremely comfortable in the bottom. At this time, I'm only giving them 3 stars as they have been tearing up the tops of my feet! I sure hope they break in soon. They are great to stand in, but hard to walk in. I will update my review later on depending on how they work out in the long run.
UPDATE
Once these babies broke in, the are very comfortable. Not sure if it was worth tearing up my feet or not. Improved my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. They would be 5 stars if not for the horrible break in period.
How did they go from FLP to this??

I've waited years for Superfeet to bring back their flip flops. The FLP sandal is the most incredible sandal I've ever worn. It was so perfectly designed that it practically cured my plantar facetious on it's own. I still have two pair that are old and worn out, but I won't wear anything else. I'd pay big bucks to get another pair of the FLP's. As soon as I saw these new sandals I snatched them up, but sadly they are just like every other bad orthopedic sandal out there - a big lump pushing into your arch and barely any heel cup support.
I think I should know better to buy shoes from a store so I make sure they fit exactly.

It's better than bad, I had a pair of the same brand which was much tougher that lasted trips to Costa Rica etc. I'm halfway between 11 and 11.5 and these are a little small. I was hoping if I wore them a bit more they'd start to fit better but nope. They aren't bad, I'm not stoked on them. I need the support because one of my lets is a little messed up from a motorcycle accident so I can't have totally crappy flat flipflops. These aren't totally crappy but definitely not what I used to have.
Great cushiony sandals, excellent for Plantar Fasciitis!

Having plantar fasciitis, I needed something I could wear walking on hardwood and tile floors as well as outside on concrete. These sandals are great! After coming home with sore feet, I put these on and I find some immediate relief from PF pain. After a while they get even more comfortable. The arch is pretty high but that is needed to help align the ankle/feet properly. The heels are thick and cushion quite well. Overall good looking sandals, comfortable to wear, relieve PF pain and fit just right even for my EEEE wide feet.
