AMERICA

Not only is this inflatable bald eagle awesome, it is the definition of the true patriotic experience that any American living by the American Dream can ever hope to have. After I breathed into this beast with my born and bred American lungs, I finally knew what it felt like to be free, and also out of breath (not because I was blowing into this giant riddance patriotic eagle float, but because it is freaking awesome). I have always in my twenty two years of living dreamed of riding a bald eagle into the sunset, and if you're anything like me, this can be your dream come true. I spent $50 on the best thing that's happened to me in my entire life. The clouds truly open before you and the troubles you have in your life are no longer relevant when you see this item lying on your doorstep. The only negative review I have about this product is that I can only see red, white, and blue. I only see Stars and Stripes now. The sky is no longer blue, it is just an American flag. By far the best purchase I've ever made.

A ravishing eagle...
by Daniel Timberwolf (4 out of 5 stars)

Large. Quite. It would be problematic to not be biased given my unmitigated love for eagles; I will however manage.

The construction of this product is the only premise I could complain about, albeit hardly.

I placed my order as soon as this item was released and received it in precisely two days as promised, after a hiatus before actually putting it to the test, I finally got aroind to test it. To my surprise the internal structure conforming the middle of the inflatable failed as it was being filled with a, proper I might add, electric pump. I posit that this was a manufacturing defect which rendered the inflatable functionally unusable.

HOWEVER, I immediately contacted VM Innovations with this issue and it was then that I discovered one of the best customer service departments. I was immediately sent a replacement which met and exceeded all my expectations.

That being said, indeed, there is hardlh any grounds for error in this purchase, the inflatable is large as described and ludicrously stable in the water as opposed to other pool toys which ought to merely be decorative other than functional.

The only thing to keep in mind thag could cause some frustration is the size of the #2 valves, they allow only so much airflow and will very much mandate an electric pump in order to inflate this much volume.

Conclusively, would buy again, multiple times in fact.

I love this thing

Merica.

Came back a year later to change my review from 5 starts to 3.

I love this thing. I really do. It was awesome and big and it was the coolest raft ever.

First issue: you cannot leave standing water in it. The colors have faded because from standing water soaking it up.

Second issue:

I had it for literally a year. We deflated it up for winter and put it away ... Protected.

Some how the seams for both wings AND the tail tore.

Small holes at first, but they're getting bigger.

We took great care of this floatie (his name is Roosevelt)

They're most likely manufacturing issues. SUPER disappointed. Now we have a wingless, tailess floatie.

Maybe we should make him into a robot to get him new limbs and call him Darth Vader

Had an issue, but it was fixed

I am changing the status of this review. The company has since replaced their defected product.

This float arrived defected. One wing would not inflate. We put it in the pool to use as a decoration for our party and within an hour it was flat. This is just from floating, without anyone playing with it.

Contacted customer service and was extremely disappointed in the unprofessional run around I received.

Wingless and broken, but still floating.

This was a great price and I loved the idea of a bald eagle. Blowing it up was a bit of a challenge as you really do need to squeeze the valves just right to let the air go inside. AND the instructions don't really say so, but you should probably blow it up in some logical order - there is a chamber in the very center of the bird, a huge one for the main pad, one for each wing, one for the tail and one for the head. Depending on what you blow up first, the other compartments may not be very accessible.

It looked great and I loved the small handles on the neck that let us tie it to the dock so it didn't sail away.

BUT - on day one of use by teenagers, both wings ripped off. On the one hand, the main body was sturdy enough to withstand that, and I carefully cut the rest of the wings from the main body so as not to drag on it further. By the end of three days, the center compartment had also somehow deflated/punctured. That left a main center "ring"/body, a head, and a tail. We can still use it - it still floats, but doesn't look anything like it did before this past weekend.

BUMMER. But for the price, I guess it is OK. I just hate that it feels so "disposable".

Anyway, try it at your own risk or with adults who can "baby" the bird a bit more.

I rode this beautiful eagle down a river with a bunch of drunk ...

I rode this beautiful eagle down a river with a bunch of drunk people and I was receiving compliments the whole time. This raft is GIGANTIC. As a 5'5" woman, I could easily lay vertically on this floatie. Only problem is that it takes FOREVER to inflate because you have to inflate the wings, head and tail separately, and you cannot really use a pump with the type of airholes this raft uses. Nonetheless, this is a wonderfully large and sturdy floatie.

Good float, terrible time to inflate.

I took this thing out on the lake on the 4th of July and after spending an hour trying to inflate it with a foot pump and a poorly engineered shop vac I gave up and just used it with out the two wings inflated and the rest of the very loosely inflated. Then it took another hour to deflate the thing to store it on the boat. I was quite upset with it, but after we got back I ordered a AIRHEAD AHP-120 Air Pump 120 volt and it can inflate this bad boy in about 10 minutes. It will deflate it just as fast. Luckily I had lost my air mattress pump and was in need of a replacement and my girlfriend also has a large float, so this save us a ton of time in the day. Once I got the use this float I liked it. I guess I should have expected it to take so long to inflate but it really isn't an issue now.

The idea of this eagle is glorious... but alas, Eddie the Eagle lasted but moments. I was looking forward to a patriotic summer but those dreams went down with this float.

I mean... it's really badass so I will probably try to talk someone into buying it for me again.

Did not last 24 hours.

This was a complete waste of money. After spending 30 minutes blowing it up, due to the small valves, it finally was blown up. It did not last a full day. Not 24 hours later, I came back outside to a completely deflated product. Customer service was not flexible or forgiving, saying I was outside of the return policy. I would NOT PURCHASE. Spend a few extra dollars on a float that would last.

Award winning!!
by D. Avinger (5 out of 5 stars)

We used our float first to top our award winning golf cart float. We were planning to make a paper mache eagle but found this float. It was perfect size! We used it in the lake afterwards and worked great and could hold 2-3 kids at a time.
