Great product, worked without issue. They are really missing their calling here in my opinion. This works great as a power source for the Nest Outdoor Camera and makes install a breeze instead of having to run the power to an outlet. I did not have an outdoor outlet and did not want to drill a huge hole in the side of my house, I stumbled upon this and it worked perfectly. See the picture for example.

I bought this along with half size led light bulbs and was able to power a Wyze Cam while still having light in a small enclosure.

Used USB cable with right angle connector on one end but had to shave down the other end that goes into Wyze Cam because it was oversized and didn't fit but the L end that goes into the USB Light Socket Charger was perfect for fitting in the cramped fixture.

Used G14 sized LED so that I still have the same amount of light as before, the full sized light bulbs don't fit in the cramped fixture.

So glad I stumbled on this! I had a little wall wart charger plugged in to an extension cord which was plugged in to another extension cord and then plugged in next to my lamp. I did this because I needed a charger next to my couch and the wall wart was my only option. I did some shopping for a lamp with a built in USB but I already HAVE a lamp and It has a new shade and I even recently painted it. My wall wart thing died and a day or so later I saw this Lamp Champ on Buzzfeed in an article about cool electronics and I was like "THAT IS MY ANSWER!"

It's a great way to bring charging to a room without using an extra outlet. And to have it next to where you are instead of wherever and outlet is.

One "complaint" is that it was too wide to fit within the harp on the lamp shade. But I grasped that harp in both hands and gave it a pull like Superman and it bent far enough for the Lamp Champ to fit.

I've been sitting here for 2 weeks watching the RNC and DNC, comfortable on my couch with my phone juicing up from my lovely lamp. And I got rid of one of those extension cords!

LampChamp is working perfectly and solved 2 issues. 1. I have a broken switch on a lamp and got tired of unplugging the cord. LampChamp's on/off switch fixed that issue. No need to fix the original switch or throw the lamp away. 2. I now have a convenient way to charge my phone/iPad while being in reach and at the couch. Perfect product for me.

I wanted to put my wyzecam out on the front porch, but didn't have an outlet. Since the cam is usb powered, I got the idea to use my porchlight as a power source. This thing (I didn't even know these existed before a few months ago) was exactly what I needed to put a usb power port out on my front porch. After several months of use, it's still working great. It's more expensive than I think it should be, but it's solving a problem that would be messy to solve some other way.

I got these for my Wyze and Blink cams on the porch. My fixture is big enough to hold it and the bulb (got an LED one that shuts itself off in daylight, sweet!). It powers two daisy chained cams without issue. I just need to remember to leave the wall switch on now. Probably more secure with lighted entryways too.

My main reason for buying this product is to install a security camera in the front of the house. The built-in USB drive safe me from drilling a hole through the wall. I am buying more for the extra camera in the back of the house. Great product!!

Doesn't fit in every lamp.

This adapter doesn't fit in some of my lamps because of the style of lampshade. I am not changing my lampshade, so put it in my bedroom bedside lamp. You can turn off/on the light with this adapter and still charge your phone. I had wanted to use one in the living room as well as the bedroom so I have one I'm not using until I get my craft room finished. I'm only using it for my phone right now.

This little gadget is great! My boyfriend has an old house where all the outlets are side ways along the baseboards on one side of every room. This set up makes it very difficult to be able to charge your phone while relaxing and watching tv at night. My boyfriend was always leading over the side of the couch trying to use his phone that was awkwardly charging feet away on the floor. We plugged this device into the lamp and his phone is easily about to rest on the table and close enough to pick up if he has to answer it. The only con would be if you buy an illegitamate charger cord that did not come with your phone you can hear a buzzing sound while your phone charges. It happens with his Samsung but if I plug my Apple iPhone charger in I don't hear a thing. I can't tell if it's the bulb adapter or if it's the knockoff brand charger but if you just use the one that comes with your phone there's really no issue.
*Note: in the picture the bulb adapter looks like an elliptical shape and we were worried it would not fit inside the lamp because the lamp has 2 shade rungs that hold the shade up. This was not an issue at all. The device is actually round and there was plenty of room to screw it in without touching the linear shade rungs of the lamp.

Does what it claims, output is pretty solid at 2-amps. It would be better if it wasn't so bulky, seeing how small some other 5V AC chargers are, I can't imagine why the base of this socket has to be so big. I was going to use this as a power source for an outdoor camera but I ended up using an AC-to-DC converter that was so much smaller and way easier to fit behind the front door lamp.
