Just got my jar hangers today... I'm so excited to install them and keep my canned goods organized so neatly... if you are like me you may end up with boxes and boxes of canned goods you've been processing in the fall... and that's great however it is so hard to keep track of exactly what you have. I found these hangers online and I'm super excited to hang them so I can see exactly what I have in storage... what a great idea... also I know my husband will love these for all his little screws and bolts and other shop parts... thank you for this great product.

I was exited to put up, but soon found that the metal was very easily bent. My husband laughed and told me how cheap it is to produce these and flexed the metal as. I also bent the back plate a bit when screwing in. EH. I also think that there could be enough room for 4 jars and is only long enough to hold 3 jars for marketing reasons blahblah. Sort of disappointing.... I'll just be making these on my own next time. Meh

What a great idea! So many ways to use these come to mind. I've installed them in the garage to help organize my tool bench. I mounted them underneath the shelf to get all of my nut, bolts, screws, etc. organized. Thinking of buying a few more for the kitchen...

I'm new to canning and needed a way to organize my jars. My wife wasn't happy with how I was storing my jars and insisted I organize them better. This system worked perfectly. The instructions were clear and easy. The quality is great. I'll need to order several more.

Before you buy: check the dimensions and placement of the mounting holes to make sure the place you plan to install the item fits. I planned to do the under-shelf mount, but misjudged something and had to wall-mount. My mistakes are generally not something I'd recommend.

My first impression getting these were that they were perfect for holding the jars I planned to use them for...
...Then I realized how nice it is to have a 12oz mason jar of my most-used ingredients within easy reach. Since then, I've played around with what I want available most, and have settled into a nice set up, and plan to buy at least one more pair.

The wall mount is sturdy, and the set up, as my wall allowed, did not require the use of cotter pins to keep jars from sliding out.

For storing dry goods put into mason jars like beans, rice, grains and cereal, this is fantastic. However, please do not use this system for water-bath canned or pressure-canned foods, for safety reasons. It's very important to never, ever store home-canned food with rings on the jars*, because the ring forcing the lid down onto the jar will hide failed seals during canning, allowing dangerous bacteria to grow. The rings are only for the actual canning process, and must be removed after the jars cool and seal tight. And using this system without rings on the jars makes the weight of the jars pull on the lids, which is the last thing you want, as it could easily compromise the seal. With foods that spoil when exposed to air like jam/preserves, vegetables, tomato sauce, soup, etc., protecting the integrity of that seal is literally a matter of life and death.
*The same goes for stacking home-canned mason jars on top of each other, or putting a board down across the top of a row of jars and stacking more jars on top of that. Unsafe practice. It's safe to store them in boxes with air space above the lids, so no pressure is placed on the lids holding them down.

Here's a small example of what you can accomplish with the the Other Lab hangers and a little bit of carpentry knowledge.

I particularly like the hangers, because they do not require the Mason jar lid to hang. The supplied screws and anchors are sufficient, but I opted to use something a little tougher.

Super Impressed! The quality and durability is great, installation in one of many different options is easy and my biggest pet peeve of all was solved- awful hardware. Most places skimp out and give a great product but terrible hardware to mount or make you use your own. I literally had two installed in less than 10 minutes. I'm buying more for myself already!
