Fantastic projector for both kids and adults

We were looking for a lightweight portable projector that we could take with us in a bag or backpack and easily set it up. The CINEMOOD projector was recommended by a few people, so we looked at the specs and was really impressed by its capabilities. We were surprised that it was designed mainly for kids and came preloaded with shows and activities for them. The interface is pretty simple to use and the projected image is pretty clear for such a small projector. The battery life should last for a few shows or movies. We were able to pair it with an Android phone and watch YouTube videos projected onto our wall. We also made a video, copied it to a USB stick, and was able to watch the video with sound from the projector. The sound from the device was pretty decent, but we didn't try pairing it with a Bluetooth speaker yet. Our kid would definitely have fun using the projector when he's a bit older.

Overall, I would highly recommend this projector to anyone looking for one that is portable, easy to use for both adults and children, and has a good amount of features.

It works good but I don't know why there is a strange smudge on the bottom near the right hermit projects. It's obvious when the picture is darker. For as much as this costs, there shouldn't be a flaw in the picture quality. I thought I'd just deal with it, but it really bothers me every time there is a scene change or a darker shot in our movie. Not sure if others have the same problem. There isn't anything obvious on the outside, I'm guessing a smudge was left during the assembly and it wasn't caught in quality control.

Unusual (in a good way) projector

This is unusual (in a good way) amazing projector. Unlike any other projectors that I know, this is actually standalone device and not second screen. Think about it as it is a small computer with its own PCB, Hard Drive (32GB), Battery (real 5hrs work time) and huge monitor (in a form of projection and in the dark room :))). The fact that it's standalone device is absolutely awesome. I will tell a bit more about it below, but basically you just unwrap it, switch on, and can use immediately without connecting to any other device. It's designed for kids mainly, coming with preloaded content which is for kids only. Well some content is for families too, but majority is for the kids. My 5yo son loves it, I believe, because it is his device (as he thinks lol) but also because he can use it anywhere. He is very creative when playing with it using it in his fort, projecting onto the ceiling, walls and his toys. The device is very light, fit in the palm of his hand and he can navigate menu easily.

So here are some details on how I used it:

PICTURE: The quality is surprisingly good and better than I expected. In the dark room the screen size will be more than 100" with great quality. It can play FullHD videos, which I did not expect. I think device downgrades video to 720р or even less, but actually I cannot really tell it because the quality remains very good. I was afraid that it would be not visible during day time, but actually it's pretty good. Screen size for the day time "indoor use" is around 20-30". Outdoor use during the day is also possible if there is no direct light with screen size around 10-15". Because it's mainly used by my son, he is quite creative to find the place to project. He like to use it in the car simply projecting to the back of the front seat. Here is a trick the picture will be better on the white surface, so when we go to the restaurant he is using backside of menu to get better picture :)))

CONTENT: A lot of preloaded content coming with the device. There are 5 categories of the content. Our favorite is CARTOONS even though some of cartoons are bit crazy like Shamans quest (I enjoy watching it myself). Some are perfectly matching my son's interests. Dr MacWheely is our favorite about cars of cause. AUDIO books are interesting, we tried a couple during bedtime but nothing too special. DIGITAL BOOKS are old style, surprisingly it's working really well during bedtime, my wife is reading a book and son is falling sleep quite quickly. STREAMING is for Youtube, a bit tricky to setup, but when I get there it simply works and we can get anything from there. I hope they will add Netflix soon, I would love to watch it from time to time, or get some shows for my son. PLAY is our latest favorite with shadow puppets guidance. We tried it during last party and 7 kids were busy half an hour doing shadows with device. It's so simple and so good in stimulating of their imagination and creativity. I like it. Also we can upload own content into device (remember 32Gb?). I was not sure why they added this feature before I used it. We download my son's favorite Youtube videos and uploaded it into device. BINGO now it's always with us regardless of wi-fi connectivity. So he uses it when we are out and I should not take care about connecting it to wi-fi or use my hotspot.

FEATURES: I like 5hrs battery life. I think it's important to have battery enough to play at least one movie, and this one is good for two. Also it's easy to charge with power bank if needed. Remote update is cool, I connected it to wi-fi and latest software appeared automatically. Keystone correction is cool, I surprised to see it in such a little device. Absolutely awesome feature is cooling: somehow there is no fan but it's not heating or I did not load it too hard yet. I do not know how it works honestly, I enjoy "no noise" especially during bedtime. There is an app for remote control. Here is the trick app is good to type wi-fi passwords. Internal sound is quite good, especially for kids. I used to connect it to the bluetooth speaker but find not a big difference. Also in the plane my son uses his earphones.

DURABILITY: Surprisingly good. My son dropped it couple of times and it even did not switch off or reloaded, just kept working. I wish there is a case for it, but you need to buy it separately which I did not do.

UNUSUAL USES: I used it to transfer some files from one computer to another :). One day I forgot my laptop and used it to project my business presentation which I put there when I was testing uploading of my own content. Be aware it will not read PPT, only PDF.

To summarise, I like that my son likes it. I was afraid that he will not use it and it will be just another forbidden toy. So far so good. I hope that there will be more integrations sooner than later.

Very good idea but needs more research. Display is not bright enough and volume is very low. Unfortunately, I will be returning the product.

This is our new best friend! So much fun to play with and watch. Definitely adds some magic to children's pre-bedtime routine. Kids also enjoy the shadow theater option, where the projector acts as a backlight. I still think it is overpriced, but I am happy I got it.

Crisp, clear and cool

Loved this little guy. It was really cool to see how bright and clear the Cinemood was. The content is also really neat. My nephew and niece are loving it and best of all they can use it to their hearts content because it's so easy to use. Crazy good product and they keep updating it (we're casting YouTube now), so my nephew is watching all his gaming videos on it.

Edit: it used to be good and we loved it. Now they keep updating it and it seems like with every update it becomes slower and slower. Sometimes the buttons just don't feel like working and we can't watch anything. But magically they work next day. I assume it's a software issue. Honestly, I wish I could return it

Omg. This product is so awesome. You can watch YouTube, listen to the music, watch cartoons and lots of other stuff. You can also download your own content on it. We are taking a 3 year old daughter on a long car trip and this will definitely keep her busy for some time.

It's so cute and i can read diafilms - sort of digital books - as bedrime stories. I'm not using it for cartoons that mich but simply because I do not like any screens. When there will be more books it would be absolutelly awesome product. Kids like it, so its good.
