Product Description
Impactx is a line of impact-rated insert bits and fastening accessories built specifically for the demands of the professional contractor. Professionals require commercial duty bits and fastening accessories that can endure the force of high-volume screw driving applications with high torque impact drivers. Standard Screwdriving bits are brittle and fit Poorly into fasteners, and in applications with high torque impact drivers this losing Combo quickly leads to broken bits. Impactx hits back with improved Fitment and increased performance with high torque impact drivers. Precision machined (not forged) tips ensure full contact fit, while performance-optimized and heat-treated S2 steel provides more flex and more durability than standard, brittle bits.Features
- Precision machined tips with superior fitment for full contact fit and longer life
- Performance-optimized S2 steel construction for extended life
- Calibrated heat treating process for added durability
- Manganese phosphate surface for advanced corrosion resistance
- Optimal geometry for an ideal fit and improved holding power

Not impact worthy. Awful bits.by Chris (1 out of 5 stars)

These bits are horrible. I was expecting these bits to handle the job, but the metal on them is so weak they just bent at the ends. I was using them to drive some GRK fasteners (FIN/Trim #8x2-1/2"). The impact I was using was a Ridgid Gen5x. The cheap bits included with the screws are holding up better than these terrible Makita's. These got so bent up they eventually would strip all the star bits. Go with another brand or don't buy at all.
Junk bits

Absolutely 100% junk!!! Could only run at most 25 screws with this bit and one of two things happen it will strip the teeth of the bit or with sheer off completely! ŽŽ The cheap ones that come with the screws held up a lot longer...
Not the best quality, and wear out very quickly

I have quite a bit (pun intended) of experience with other impact bits I purchased here on Amazon.
I decided to try these for a change, hoping they will be of better quality, and last longer.
But, it turns out the metal quality is not very good, and the torx bit edges wear out very quickly.
I already went through 3 of these in 2 days of work, and all 3 lasted significantly less time than other brands I have used in the past.
Not worthy of the Makita name - these are junk

Very disappointed in these, expected much better from a Makita product. Tips were relatively brittle (not as bad as say Vermont American tho - those REALLY are bad for impact driving). After driving maybe 150 SS screws the first bit started to get rounded and was stripping out screw heads so switched to the second bit. It also drove about 150 screws, then the tip shattered in a screwhead without warning. So I put the first bit back in and it did the same thing, only at least it simply sheared the tip off even with the top of the screwhead, so was able to limp along with the stump for the rest of the day (was only a half hour from being done). I contacted Makita and they replaced the tips, though grudgingly. While I was waiting for those, I bought a pair of GRK bits on Amazon and they are 100X better. Don't waste your time or money on the Makita bits - go with GRK from the start.
I am a Makita power tools user but these bits are just bad product.

I tried to use this for decking and was a complete failure, they broke off in couple of screws, while the bits that came with the screws when you buy a box lasted a very long time. I am a Makita power tools user but these bits are just bad product.

Use your drill instead of an impact driver and they may last longer. I'm always a little hesitant when using an impact with the small # 10 torx but even with soft materials and a pilot hole these snap off after only a few uses.
The gold GRK bits may be a lot more expensive but they will outlast these three to one.
Great quality.

I bought these to screw self tapping screws into some 1/4" angles. My cordless drill didn't have enough power to screw them in and switched to my 1/2" corded drill and really expected these bits to snap but they never did. I only used one bit, very durable bits.
Used only one for the entire kitchen and held well.

Ended up installing 12 cabinets and used this from start to finish, and the bit held wonderfully. I got 4 of these just in case they failed, and will store them for future cabinet installs. I'd expect each of these to push 100 or so screws safely.
Terrible quality. One wobbled terribly

I bought a bunch of these when they were on sale. I figured I'd ruin 3 or 4 of the these while trying to get the dumb screws out of my brake rotor. To my surprise I only used 1 bit and it still looks good. I would recommend these
