Sadly, we don't expect to ever visit outer space. For us, the final frontier will most likely remain unexplored. But that doesn't mean it hasn't fascinated us endlessly. We've pored over books and watched countless documentaries about what exists beyond the Kármán line, and we've come away fascinated by a great number of things. One of those things is a common theme mentioned by astronauts returning to Earth: the smell. Yes, space has a smell. When an astronaut returns from a space walk and removes their helmet, they're hit with a distinct scent. We've read many descriptions and decided, since we can't go to space, let's bring a little bit of space to us. This candle is designed to smell like outer space. We took the descriptions those astronauts shared in various publications and crafted a 100% soy wax candle out of them. This is space in a can. No space suit required.

I bought this as a quirky gift for my space-loving boyfriend. Comes in pretty heavyweight can with a lid like a paint can you have to pry off. Smell is bizarre, but it's supposed to be. Very happy with this. If he doesn't love it, I'm stealing it.

Unique concept, poor quality

The smell and concept is unique, but the wax is very poor quality. It does not burn evenly, and the wax is so soft it stays liquid and buries the flame. The result is a lot of wasted product and a short burn time.

Did not stay lit. Maybe the ratio of wax to wick was wrong. Looked great. Smelled lovely.

Smells like your typical department store and the wick burned out after an hour of burning, not even 1/4 of the candle burned.
