Some of the smells really didn't smell like what they say it is...

We had a fun time playing this game - but will probably not play it again, and that is fairly expensive for a one-use game. We played with 6 people, and there were some smells that everyone got, and some smells only a few got, but there were a few smells that nobody got, and after hearing the official game answer, we would pass the card around again and sometimes we just couldn't pick their answer out of the smell we were getting. Some of the things they said were on the card - just didn't seem like the right answer. So if this is just a guessing game, that would be OK, but I'm not convinced that they accurately captured the smells themselves. I would not recommend this game because some of their answers "stink" (see what I did there?) ;-)

Game stinks and not in a funny game way
by Amazon Customer (2 out of 5 stars)

We were excited to get this game but after one round we we're extremely disappointed in the game. It wasn't funny, the card smells stayed on your hands, stinks up the room with smells of urine and grandma's perfume. No one wanted to put it back in their home because it smelled so bad. I'm more excited about the refund and returning the package.

Packaging flaw ruins the game

The way the cards are packed and wrapped makes the smells blend together so the "good" cards are messed up by the "bad" cards. That means NONE of them smell good. We played twice and it's been in the closet since then. It's no fun when EVERYTHING smells like "toe cheese" :(

5 Stars for STINK, 2 Stars because STINKS TOO MUCH!

We were really interested in playing this game with the kids. Our kids had some friends over so they all played together, I'm so glad we weren't the ones to participate on the maiden voyage of this game. The kids were gagging, and we could smell some of the things from across the room. I knew there'd be smells with this game, just had no idea it would be so pungent. One of the cards smells like cat pee, so strongly that we thought our cat had come up stairs and peed somewhere (which would have been completely out of character for him.) The scents in the game are SO STRONG that we had to tie it up in about 20 scented garbage bags in order to contain it. It lives in the bottom of our game closet now because the kids don't want to play it ever again, and I don't want to smell it ever again. I'm considering donating it to a charity thrift store--but that seems cruel to do to another parent to may buy it unassuming. I hate to throw it away but I just might. The game retains some stars because the kids had fun playing for the first five minutes--until all smell broke loose.

Really?

I bought this with high hopes of fun. Sadly, I was disappointed as there was little to NO scent on ANY of the cards. Skip this and buy scratch and sniff stickers instead.

Be very careful

You can get the smell on your hands and or nose/face if you put card up to face. The smell takes a lot of effort to get off skin. Had to use coconut oil to remove smell.

Fun game could be better
by Ruby Aceves (3 out of 5 stars)

It's a fun game but some smells are a bit off. For example the diaper blow out just smells like urine. The gas smells like something burnt. And lemon one is very, very faint. You can barely smell anything. Smells more like cardboard than lemon. The game has a lot of potential but the smells are faint or very off the actual smell. Also the scratchers make the smell on the other cardboard smell like cardboard lol if that makes sense..?

Also this is a game you play a handful of times because then you already know what the smells are and you know what to expect. It's not very hard to forget.

Wish the smells were more similar to the actual smell and that there were more options. Also this game is better in teams. You get a second opinion of the smell and can guess more accurately.

Terrible purchase
by Ahow (1 out of 5 stars)

I was excited about this game. I thought it would be like bean boozeled without having to eat anything nasty. All of the cards are taped together in the box so all of them smell like the strongest smells. We even divided them up for a few days prior to playing to see if maybe they would get better. But they didn't. There were very few cards you could tell what they were. The extra stinky cards came in a wrapper but still smelled up the whole box. They came with zip lock bags to be put in so I'm not sure why they didn't just put them in there to begin with. Overall it was a Terrible purchase. I am returning.

Great concept, poor execution

I was so excited to play this game with my family that we didn't save it for Christmas like we originally intended and played it right away. The box reeks of cat urine before you even open it... Once you open it your whole house or at least the room you're in will also reek of cat urine smell. That overwhelming smell was on everything in the box so basically every card smells like that one scent even the "sweet" or "floral" scents . Like others have said that gross smell will be on your hands, nose, and anything that has touched anything in the box. Yuck!

Where do I start...
by athorpe (1 out of 5 stars)
January 3, 2019

I bought about 20 games this Christmas for my (8 and10 year old) boys and thought this one would be fun. So, where do I start...let's see, if you want whatever room you decide to play this game in to smell like a cat hoarder's house, then you've come to the right place! I'm not sure what I expected, but I can tell you that I most certainly did not expect to gag so violently tears felt the need to escape my person. Oh and by the way, no matter where you put it, no matter how short a time your skin touches this game -- even just the box -- you will smell what can only be described as stale, mildewing cat pee. And if that isn't enough to deter you, it wasn't even fun to play.
