I purchased this for my wife and she absolutely loves it! She couldn't stop talking about how there is finally a solution that actually keeps her hair dry in inclement weather. She loves the style and the fact that it folds into itself so that she can keep it in her bag at all times. No more getting caught in the rain and no more extra money from me to fix her hair!

It works, but...

I actually give it 3.5 stars. It works quite well, but it looks like a potato sack on your head. The four corners in the back sort of wont let the fabric lay down... instead it sticks up. I feel sort of ridiculous wearing it, BUT IT WORKS!

Amazing and beautiful product - well worth the money and wait!

I'm so impressed with my Hairbrella, it keeps my 2c curls perfectly curly, doesn't crush them, my head is always kept at a comfortable temperature no matter how long I wear the Hairbrella for. I purchased it for the cold wet weather in UK, and it's perfect! Well worth the money and wait

Headphone Protection

I wasn't sure this was for me because I have naturally curly hair and use gel for styling. I like my hair to get wet. However, I like the idea of this which is why I bought it. Now that I think of it, I wear my headphones in the rain protected only by my umbrella. This can help protect my headphones!!

I don't like getting caught in the rain though it has nothing to do with hairstyle and more to do with visibility. I also don't like carrying a just-in-case umbrella.

Because this folds it'll be easy to take at all times. The front visor probably shields the rain from your eyes and the cap itself feels well-made minus the visor which feels and looks cheap.

I love that it folds into a little self-contained pouch with a clip. Well thought out. After using it I'll revise my review. This is just a first impression.

That said, something like this could protect the hair from the sun. Maybe if the visor wasn't clear and had UV protection it could serve a dual purpose.

I get my hair pressed. My coworks had jokes about me wearing this, but after the snow/rain stopped, my hair still looked good. I do wish this came with a hard case to keep it in.

I'm giving it a 3.5 - 4 rating. Here's why: I just received my Hairbrella and it is exactly as described and I am super excited to give it a try of this Memorial Day weekend. I only had one issue upon opening the package: THE HAT WAS DIRTY! Something ORANGE had splashed all over the outside of the BLACK hat!! Thankfully it easily scraped off or I would have returned it. So I will definitely have to wash the hat before I wear it, which I guess one should always do with personal items (underwear, gloves, socks, hats) where possible. Hence the 3.5 rating. As far as quality I give it a 4 only because I'm not so sure the visor will be durable. The materials used are of good quality. The outside of the hat is of the windbreaker jacket material, light, but will keep the rain away. The inside is a really nice satin with a bit of weight to it to add to the moisture protection but not enough to cause your head to overheat and perspire. I have really thick mid-shoulder length hair and it all easily fits up under the hat. I love the fact that it is adjustable so it fits my rather large head with ease!!

This this the best rain hat ever! I get my hair done often and don't want to destroy a great hairdo. I have been out in a rain storm and taken it on the log ride into the splash down, hair stayed nice and dry. Love it so much I fold it up and keep it in my purse! It even has a ponytail pouch hidden in it.

I wasn't satisfied it was way too big even though it was adjustable the kicker for me was after you put it on it has these point in the back makes it look weird on your head, didn't like it and for the price I had to return it.

Doesn't fit like the picture

It doesn't fit me like the girl in the picture. The visor is crooked and comes down too low. Can be annoying for people with glasses like myself. It's too big for people with small heads and less hair. I have shoulder length locs so it fits me good for now. Haven't worn in the rain yet.
