Not as bright as others

I bought this model primarily because it was listed as a #1 best seller. I also bought another model, the Shining Buddy (ASIN: B01F7UQQGE) because it happened to be listed as a lightning deal. It's a good bit smaller than this one, so I figured I'd use it as a backup. Surprise! It WAY surpassed this one in brightness. This one doesn't list a lumens rating, and I'm guessing because if it did, people would see how much brighter other models are. The Shining Buddy is listed as 160 lumens; my completely unscientific guess is that this one is 120 lumens, tops. This one will be used as the backup.

Using this in power outage.

I originally purchased to use to light my way when I walk home after dark. I switch to the flashing red light when I see a car coming my way so they can see me and I don't get hit.

In the 8 months I've lived in NC, I've experienced 3 power outages!! Tonight, here in NC, we've lost power for 5+ hours. At first I lit candles but the apt got hot and smoky. Then I remembered I had this!!!

A lifesaver for tonight!
1st press- 2 LEDS light up
2nd press - 10 LEDS
3rd press - 18 LEDS(all)
4th press - 2 flashing red LEDS
5th press- Off

You have to press in this order to get to the light you want but it's not a problem.

Blinded by the Light

This product is proof that good things come in small packages. I loved this headlamp so much that I bought five of them.

Two went to my kids who use them to read in bed at night. One went to my dad to provide extra and targeted illumination for hands-free work. Two more were deployed to in-case-of-emergency locations: in the glove compartment of my car as well as the kitchen supply drawer. I'm holding the final one as a future gift.

At one-third the originally listed price, this headlamp is a bargain for which you'll find a use. Everything about this item is outstanding. It has a lightweight design featuring a wide-strap, adjustable and elastic head band. A click of the side rubber button sets the brightness: 1 click is two LEDs, 2 clicks is 10 LEDs, 3 clicks is the full 18 LEDs, and the 4th click is the 2 blinking red LEDs.

Comfort isn't sacrificed for value - thick foam padding is embedded almost flush to the inside of the forehead plate. Finally, the unit sits on the front of that plate and can be rotated down to more than a 90 degree angle.

This is a super bright, compact, ingenious and user-friendly headlamp. I replaced the enclosed off-brand batteries with longer-lasting batteries. The no-frills packaging and low price belie the high quality and value of this headlamp. I highly recommend multiple purchases of this item.

Great Little Gadget!

This is something I had intended to buy for a long time - and that I wished I had, on many occasions, but didn't have.

I fiddled with the setup and couldn't get it to come on, until I looked more closely at the batteries and realized that I had one of them inserted wrong. (Duh!)

Now I'll probably have to buy one for the car - because, God forbid, you have problems at night, I can easily see how this would be a lifesaver.

And very bright, which is great, because it wouldn't be much good if it weren't bright enough to enable you to see what you were doing, or reading.

Just to realize what a plus it is to have both hands free, and not have to try to hold a light in one hand while trying to do something with the other hand, which really requires two hands to do - and having a light on your head would definitely solve the problem.

I wondered what purpose the red blinking light might serve, but thought about it, and realized that in an emergency, it would be a very good thing to have. That would at least alert oncoming motorists that you were there, and perhaps they wouldn't run over you.

Comfortable; Perfect for reading & home improvement projects

Bought one for a friend for her birthday because she does lots of home improvement projects and extra light is always helpful. She also has a crawlspace under her house so she wears it when she has to go into the crawlspace so she doesn't have to carry a flashlight. Then, I made a joke that I could use it when I read and do my homework for graduate school...and it turns out...it's actually fantastic for reading! The three levels of brightness are great for adjusting it to just the amount that I want, and the different positions (angles that the light can shine) are great. Call me a nerd, but I'm totally buying one for use when reading. I'm in graduate school for English, so I read a LOT, and it's so nice to use this light because I can read anywhere, even outside at dusk. (I've actually been borrowing my friend's The side button makes it super easy to turn on and off and switch modes, and the (adjustable) elastic straps around your head (with the soft pad on the forehead where the light is) are super comfortable. Sometimes I even forget to take it off when I'm done reading! Not only WOULD I purchase this again, I actually am buying another one right now so I can give the first one back to my friend and keep my new one for me for reading. I'm also going to get one for my dad because he's older and loves to read, so this will definitely help him keep light on his book when he reads. Ironically, as I'm writing this, I'm at my friend's house and she's putting together a new table from IKEA and she asked if she could have the headlamp back to be able to see the tiny screw holes in the table. I couldn't ask for a more well-timed example--haha!

I bought this in June of 2015 and paid $6.99. I used it last summer on a camping trip and it really came in handy. We were at a campground and among its many uses I found that this was helpful even in walking to the toilets. I actually used it in the shower stall too as the lighting in there was really poor and there were things in there I did not want to touch.

Sometimes it's helpful to keep both hands free for other tasks and this accommodated my needs. I now keep it in my SUV just in case. No workmanship complaints and the battery life is good.

This is the first headlamp that I have ever owned that I had to pay for. I am a retired, disabled, United States Marine and of course our headgear was state of the art with night vision capabilities and considerably more expensive.

So i did a lot of research prior to making my purchase, based on my needs. I am a Photo Hobbyist and I get into Astrophotography, so most of my work is done in the dark, in fact my demands are considerably different. Most of you more than likely require the most amount of light that you can possibly muster up. In my case, I am always in search of keeping my work space as dark as possible, not unless I am using a particular form of light in order to achieve a special effect.

So let us get down to the 'LE' Headlamp; Most of the information that was posted by "Lighting EVER" was quite informative; the description and specs. A fair amount of customer questions with adequate responses/answers. The reviews ranged from 1 star to 5 stars, but for the most part they fell in the middle, but in the end the final rating averaged out to 4 stars. It was the lower star ratings that were quite damaging.

I decided to give the 3200001 model for $7.99 a try. I liked the battery compartment being situated up front directly behind the light housing, less wires or obstructions coiled around the head straps. Speaking of headstraps or headbands, whichever you prefer, These soft elastic are very comfortable, and to me that is a definite PLUS++++ You see, I sport a 'Chrome Dome' Marine Corps term for 'baldy,' by choice. I just prefer the smooth and shiny presentation, and so do the LADIES!! With that in mind, so to speak, the soft elastic bands are very comfortable, with no irritation, or slippage. Adjustable, relaxing fit!!! Now for the most important part, the lamp itself; To my overwhelming surprise those tiny little LEDs, 18 white, 2 red, are very powerful and produce a tremendous amount of light from just three little triple A batts. You also have the added RED Light Feature, Two RED LEDs that operate on a SOS Strobe mode, and one other added bonus is the main headlamp swivels all the way down, locking into 5 different positions for those of you who have a tendency to trip over your own feet in the dark. LOL!!! :-) One last feature would be the replacement of the three triple A batts. Very simple, no instructions are required. It is so simple that even those who are NOT mechanically inclined can figure it out in a matter of minutes, 1 minute if that!! Well I certainly hope that this has been helpful to those of you are considering purchasing 'Lighting EVER' products.

My eyes!

A little bulky, but didn't really affect what I was using by it for. It is lightweight and looks to be a quality built product. It has 3 brightness modes and a red alert blinking mode. You do have to cycle through each mode to turn it off (unless I'm missing something). It does take 3 AAA batteries. Not sure yet how long the battery lasts as I've only had it for a couple days.

It is bright. I tend to only need to use the lowest setting. Great for use for under the hood and when your hands need to be free. Great quality for the price. I can't believe I've been missing this as part of my toolset.

I ordered this headlamp to wear when I paint my nails. I know it's probably the most unsuspected reason for use but I don't have the greatest eyesight and it really helps to have a bright light directly on my hands when I paint my nails. Im also a jewelry artist for my online business and this light helps tremendously when working with smaller beads and fastenings. I figured my husband could also get usage out of it when doing Oil changes or tuneups on our vehicles. The light has four modes which is wonderful because you could use the first one if you were reading a book at bedtime and didn't want to disrupt your partner or the brightest one for work reasons. Then there is a red flashing light which would be great for runners who like to go out in the evening. I will most likely not use the red flashing light mode but except possibly when bringing my kids out trick-or-treating on Halloween. Shipping was super fast and package securely. It came with batteries which was an added plus. The straps that go on your head are adjustable and extremely comfortable. They fit my head, my husbands and also fit my 10 year old. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and I 100% recommend I've attached some photos to show the quality and fit of this awesome headlamp.

Weak Band, Clunky Fit - Not Worthwhile

The Good: Bright enough light with three stages of brightness, controls are simple, but without creativity. There's one route through the menu, and no direct "off", which is such a minor thing that I feel a little unfair criticizing it... and yet, here we are. Still, it casts light, so here we are.

The Bad: Awkward Sit on the forehead, not very comfortable either for weight or how it rests, and this seems to be due to it being a big honkin' device that isn't really designed for resting on the head.

The Ugly: Exceedingly Weak Elastic Band - this would not stay on my head when took it out of the package. It wouldn't stay oriented, nor centered on my head. I worked around this by using a quality band from an older headlamp, but no device sold to fill a need should fail to meet that need out of the box.

Additional: Though it may be a one-off, the batteries that came with the lamp were deformed and damaged when they arrived. If anyone else is having this problem, please note.
