Only comfortable for a man to wear

The Saddle Baby is extremely uncomfortable to wear. It almost appears to have been developed to be worn by men only. The chest section was very uncomfortable to wear since it goes straight across my breasts and was painful when tightened properly. The actual saddle was much too big for my tiny shoulders and I had to constantly re-adjust it. When tightened, it pushed up against my neck bones which hurt. I could not find a comfortable spot. It was either too far back where my daughter felt like she was going to fall or it was pushing too hard on my neck for me to be comfortable. It felt like it needed to be smaller so it would fit my shoulders better.

Not very popular with the family

This works better than carrying the child on your shoulders, but after having it for about 6 months, it has only been used a couple of times. We used it walking around at the fair and it worked OK, but not great. The 18 month old was a little small for the unit and his feet barely made it to the ankle straps. After 15 minutes or so of walking around, he felt really heavy. Neither mom nor grandma wanted to use it so it was just traded between grandpa and dad. The 4 year old fit much better in the unit and didn't really seem much heavier even though she weighs nearly twice as much but still, we got tired after a short time. It was quite a bit better than carrying the kids on the shoulders without it, but once the adult got tired of carrying (the kids were fine), it was awkward walking around with the harness either on the shoulders without a kid or just carrying it.

We tried again, when we went on a beach vacation, but ended up not actually using it even once. I really wanted to like this but it just doesn't fit into an everyday use lifestyle. Maybe if the family was really into hiking and could use this a lot it would be worth it but only being used twice, it wasn't worth $40 each time it was used.

Not for really tall

Great idea, product is okay for normal heights but it has zero adjust-ability between the saddle and the chest strap, meaning if you are tall (I am 6'6") it'll pull your head/neck forward. I can do shorter trips, still love the product, nice hands free. Just not for full day outings at the zoo like i had imagined

My husband wears a size medium shirt and is 5'7" and this JUST barely tightens ALMOST enough. Wish it could tighten smaller. He is by no means a crazy small guy, average size, but we would really love for this to be able to tighten tighter. We LOVE LOVE the product and out 3 and 5 year old cant get enough of it. But it would make us feel better and my husband more comfortable if it would be able to adjust more around the chest.

Great for large men who already carry their child on their shoulders

The video of this carrier was all over facebook and as soon as my husband saw this carrier, he wanted it right away. This is two separate pieces. My daughter is very large for her size, but she is only a little over a year old, so she does not fit onto the orange saddle. We only have used the leg straps on her. My husband is very large. He is over six feet tall with broad shoulders and a broad back. He has carried her on his shoulders for months now. She has a very strong core.

If you are not a man that would normally carry your child onto your shoulders, this child carrier is not for you. I doubt that many women could even use this carrier. This carrier is very well made. It is very simple to use and you can use just the leg straps or you can use the saddle with it also. If your child does not have a strong core, this carrier is not for you.

We bought this carrier because my daughter loves to ride on my husband's shoulders but his neck and shoulders hurt after wearing her for only ten minutes or so on his shoulders. Now he can put her on his shoulders and we can walk around for extended periods of time without any issues.

Tends to slide

It's a great concept and my son likes the seat. However, it's really made for men as the chest strap can be too big for some women. And once the child is in the seat and legs are strapped, it tends to slide backward. My husband ended up having to either hold my sons legs or occasionally readjust the seat to the proper position.

My husband uses this often for our two year old and it keeps him (the toddler) happy. The saddle starts digging into the shoulders after wearing for a while but overall, I would recommend this for anyone who has a kiddo who loves to ride on shoulders. Keepa your hands free!

We LOVE this carrier. My daughter goes up and down often as we hike. Yes, it's designed best for a flat chest. But for us it's perfect. It allows my daughter to be comfortable and my husband to go hands free. My daughter often falls asleep up there when she gets so comfy.

It is a great product, BUT I won't give it 5 stars because it's not meant for women, the boobs get in the way of the chest straps and it makes it uncomfortable to wear.
