• Features a 500 denier Cordura and 300 denier poly shell and a 200 denier high-tenacity nylon liner.
• Center front zip entry, PE foam insert, YKK self-locking Vislon teeth zipper, and heavy duty acetal hardware.
• Weighs 1.84 lbs (29.44 oz). The Ronny Fisher has a buoyancy rating of 16 lbs and a USCG Approval Type III.

I enjoyed this pfd on my first trip out. I am a kayaking newbie so I'm a little unsteady on landing at the boat dock in high water still. I wiped out and flipped my boat and had to go chasing some gear down the river. My lifejacket worked great, keeping me above water and allowing me to expend less energy to swim to get my stuff. I would love it if Astral would take some of their women-friendly design elements and make a ladies fishing pfd, because I love all the pockets and even the color of this lifejacket, but I wish it didn't smash the boobies as much. I chose the utility of the pockets on this vest over the women-specific life jacket, but it is a trade off that you have to decide is worth it to you.

As always this Astral is an excellent piece of water safety equipment. Very comfortable!!, and even comes with a pop out drink holder. I'm very pleased with the item, and with Back Country's shipping time line. Excellent overall purchase. No negatives.

I bought the vest in case I fall in the river while fishing. The problem is I cannot see my feet, which gives me a higher propensity to fall when you cannot see where you are walking! I just use the walking stick more!

Astral makes the best pfds in the industry. I have owned a number of kayaks and at one time a kayak shop. Astral is my go to vest when I want quality and well thought out design. The price is very comparable to other vests made by companies who support other watersports. If you want a vest that is built with quality with a number of thoughtful details, this is your vest
