Not sure what happened...by JBforfairness (1 out of 5 stars)

The first time I bought one of these, it was great. It played my podcasts nice & loudly over the water spray, & I only had to stick it to the wall the one time & it stayed. It was great.
I gave that one to my mom & bought a new one for myself a year later. That's when things went awry.
The new one is TERRIBLE. I hear podcasts better putting my iPod in a Ziploc bag & using the standard speaker better than I did through the new one. The suction cup just REFUSED to stick to ANY surface- tile, mirror, tub, nothing- longer than a few hours, so in the middle of the night there'd be a loud BANG from the bathroom, waking me & my fiancé up. I could even feel a difference in the rubber used in this one- it felt softer, cheaper somehow. You'll also notice I said these things in the past tense, because water somehow got in it & it fried after only maybe 2 months of use.
My mom says hers is still working perfectly. I don't know how to account for the discrepancy, but I am incredibly disappointed.
Somewhat overpriced but it has perks

This speaker has lived in the shower for over a year and has been sprayed with water, dropped, and hit. Through all of this it has held itself up on the shower wall using it's suction cup. The Pause/Play, skip, go back, and answer/hang up buttons on the front are convenient and while i wouldn't call the time between pressing a button and getting a reaction tiny, it's definitely not slow. The phone call feature....works, but if you have the option between using your phone/headphones mic and using this speaker, the speaker will surely lose. But i still haven't answered the most pressing question, "HOW DOES IT SOUND?". I saved this for last because it's also the reason i took away one star. i find the audio from this Bluetooth speaker to be sub-par. i have other waterproof, shockproof, phone call capable speakers in this price range and they sound much better. Holding this speaker to the $20 standard they are priced at, i feel that it falls a bit short on their main function: to amplify and disperse sound. I would've taken away two stars but the fact that it has a suction cup, is call capable, waterproof, and has proven it is indeed useful for the short amount of time it is used in the shower help justify the $20 price a little bit more.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who likes to listen to music and podcasts in the shower. The first week of use it was very clear that the battery only lasted about an hour. Before even using it the first time he charged it over night. He used it exclusively while shower and after about 3 - 20 minute showers the battery was dead. As the weekend went on the battery is down to lasting 1 - 20 min shower. Not to mention the suction cup does not suction very well. It fell at least twice once in the middle of the night which was loud and alarming. I tried reaching out to the seller before writing a review because I thought there was a possibility I received a defective one. Their only response was "what is your order number?" I responded waited a week, did not hear back, reached out again and still nothing. Now I'm on the search for a waterproof speaker that actually works.
Great device despite quirky button design!

[8/25/17 Edit: I still use this regularly and haven't had any issues. Completely recommend it even now.
Early 2018 edit: it wouldn't charge anymore, so I had to replace it. Still lasted a decent while.]
I primarily use it in the shower to listen to music/audiobooks/podcasts, and it is great - much better than I honestly expected. The audio is very clear and the volume is good, although it seems to use its close proximity to tile or walls to make it louder. So if you pull it away from the wall as it's playing music it seems the volume goes down, but even away from a surface it's more than acceptable.
The Bluetooth works flawlessly, and I've had no problems whatsoever connecting it to a few different devices so far (primarily my phone, a Nexus 5X). And I haven't had it lose connection, no sound distortion, etc. Really great stuff here, better than the Bluetooth connection on my soundbar's wireless subwoofer.
And the buttons all work fine, although this is where I have my only complaint. The "next/previous" buttons are the same as the "volume up/volume down" buttons - only differentiated by either a short press of the button or a long press. This means sometimes you want to lower the volume but end up accidentally skipping back a track instead because you didn't press down long enough. Also means you might have to spend a little more time adjusting up and down to get to your ideal volume level. It's not a dealbreaker, but definitely an annoyance that could've been fixed with more buttons or something else. I don't think this is enough to lower the score to 4/5, but maybe 4.5/5 if such scores were possible on here.
I've also dropped it a couple times, once very briefly into water, and it's held up. The suction is good but you have to make sure it's wet before you apply it to the wall, otherwise it will eventually fall off.
So all in all it's a great device that does what it's supposed to. I highly recommend it and will update this review if I develop any issues in the future.
Descent for the price, micro USB charger

So far this things is great, on a cemaric shower surface wall it's done fine and hasn't fallen off, also tested it on the bathroom mirror for a day and it didn't fall off, it has a micro USB charger unlike my last one which used a barrel charger,I'm very happy about that, I've gotten it pretty soaked and no issues yet.
The plastic is descent and doesn't feel dry or unyielding in anyway and feels flexible, which is important for such a device, because if it tears it's game over for it.the charging port cover isn't the tough cover and is attached properly so it dosn't just fall out.The buttons have a nice click but I wish they were a bit bigger because at times I find I'm jabbing the plastic vs the button like intedee while washing my hair. The suction cup is adaquete and mounted to it via a half circle slide in groove, it uses it for a friction mount, which a common approach.
The sound is descent very bass heavy, which is a result of how the sound comes out and bounces off the shower walls, which can cause distortion if your not careful and they weren't, it's clean and loud for bass, but it overwhelms mids and highs due to it when the bass drops in. It's still descent enough for a shower, but I would have to be more picky for a edc. Overall a 4/5, I haven't done drop test and if it breaks I'll be sure to note the drop height and amount of drops if I remember tbh.
Lastly to address the reviews complaint of it falling it off constantly, it's a suctioj cup and like all other ones, if it's too smooth it won't stick, if the surface has little divitw and isn't seemingly smooth it won't stick because it can't create enough suction. This isn't the fault of anything but physics and your knocking a product for your inepitude of estimating possible complications.... Put more thought into your shopping habits and consider a speaker that hangs from the shower neck
Great overall cheap and portable bluetooth speaker

I've owned this speaker for a little over 2 years now and I've had no problems with it since I got it. I've used countless times in the shower, during my daily commute from and to work, on trips some of which were to the beach. The volume range is appropiate, loud enough to be able to hear things clearly over the sound of the water in the shower. The sound comes out of the bottom of the speakers, so it is usually better to hear when the speaker is mounted to a wall/window with the provided suction cup, with the sound bouncing off of the wall/glass. The bluetooth range is not bad. The maximum distance between the source and speaker that I've used it at is about 30-45 feet.
The speaker came with a charging cable that is USB on one end and a very thin female pin on the other. This is really my only complaint about the product but it doesn't warrant knocking it down to 4 stars. I've looked into buying another pair of water proof bluetooth speakers, but with a different charging interface, like micro-USB since I own a few of those. I ended up settling on the newer SoundBot SB510FM FM RADIO Water Resistant Bluetooth Wireless 5W Shower Speaker HandsFree Portable Speakerphone w/ Auto-Scan Tuner, 6Hrs Music Streaming, Built-in Mic, Detachable Suction Cup, Lanyard
The attached video review is on how the SB510 compares to the Innoo Tech Bluetooth Speakers Waterproof | Best Outdoor Shower Bluetooth Speaker Portable Ever with Tf Card Reading Function , which was a disappointment for me.

I would say that it is good for it's price (pretty cheap) but actually it's just good period. Sound quality isn't high end, but in a shower/bathroom, where I use it, it's perfect. Easily links to my iPhone and I can listen to music or podcasts in shower. So far it hasn't died on me, every 2 weeks or so I just pull it off the wall and plug it in over night.
My only complaint is that volume up and fast-forward are the same button, and same with vol down/reverse. Once or twice, when trying to raise/lower volume I have skipped to the next podcast on my list, or started over on the one I was listening to, and it isn't always easy to get back to the right spot. Fortunately this only happened a few times, and now I am more careful. I understand it was done for economy of space, as there isn't much room for multiple buttons, but it was a little annoying.
Besides that though, I use it nearly every day and it is definitely worth buying.

I use it to listen to audiobooks and podcasts while showering and doing hygiene, and this thing is fantastic!
Pros:
- Battery life is astounding. I have used this several times a week while showering and have only charged it once in nearly 4 months.
- Sound gets nice and loud, enough to cover the white noise of running water and fan combined.
- Truly water resistant: I can run this under the shower head and it does not affect functionality.
- Drop resistant: I've dropped it a few times and it still works great.
Cons:
- Doesn't stick to all surfaces equally well. This is not as bad for me, as I can just place it on a shower rack or shelf.
- The buttons for changing tracks and volume are the same. If you don't hold the button down long enough, it changes tracks instead of volume. While holding the button for volume, it can be difficult to stop it at an appropriate volume - usually getting either too loud or too soft.
Overall though, it's a great little thing for the price.
Get it.
Works well

When we moved into our home and realized we had a hot-water heater that heated the water as the shower ran I didn't realize that I would be taking hour-long showers. It also didn't help that the Soundbot worked so well.
I really loved the sound and Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth would fade out once in a great while, but really not bad at all. The battery life was long though I don't have an exact amount of time. Another thing of note is that the suction cups never wore out over the six months I used the device. That's something I'd come across with other shower-speakers. So, I'm happy with that. The only reason I don't use it now is I gave it to one of my kids when when we moved.
Overall, I'd recommend this product.
It'd be great if it would charge.

To start, I want to say how excited I was to receive this Bluetooth speaker. But sadly it didn't work out for me.
My first complaint is about the Bluetooth connection. You have to keep your mobile device or whatever you have it hooked to within a few feet of this speaker, else it won't play anything.
My second complaint is that once it needed charging, I hooked it up to the charger it comes with and it wouldn't charge! So I hooked it up to a different charger the next day thinking maybe that charger just wasn't good....nope, still won't charge!
Maybe I just got a dud.
The company said they'd send me a new one, but in order to receive it, id have to send my original one back. It's just not worth the hassle to me. Especially if it's possible that I might get another one that doesn't charge.
