Checking tire pressure is too easy now!by P (4 out of 5 stars)

Pro:
These ensure that I'll check my tire pressure every ride. The app works well and the sensors seem reasonably accurate based on my comparison to a hand held pressure gauge.
The app lets you set a minimum, goal, and maximum tire pressure for each tire. If you exceed your limits, an obnoxious alarm will go off!
The app has an overlay setting that can be enabled/disabled to let you view your tire pressures on the same screen as Google maps or any other app (kind of like a less intrusive form of the Facebook Messenger app conversation bubbles).
Cons:
Resetting the tire pressure alarm limits for either wheel requires you to remove and reinstall both of the pressure sensors so the app can re-register the sensors.
The app requires both Bluetooth and GPS to be enabled to read the sensors. If you know where you're riding, you'll have to needlessly drain battery life on GPS if you want continuous tire pressure monitoring.
Just what I needed.

Works as expected. I only needed it to check my bicycle tire pressure before I went on a ride. I shut down app after I check because I don't need to monitor pressure during ride and don't want to continue using Bluetooth and draining phone and sensor batteries. Setup was easy and simple. I do have rubber valve stems but don't think it will be much of a problem with a bicycle. I see where the problem is because even though the sensors don't weigh much they will cause stems to flex as you ride and hit bumps. I put a tie wrap around stems and nearby spoke and now there is no flexing. The only minor complaint I have is that the reported temperature of the sensors can be as much as 4 degrees different from each other. This feature is not really needed by me.
Loses blue tooth connection often.

This product requires your phone with a good blue tooth connection to work. You also need an internet connection to teach your phone about the senders. The senders at times forget who they are and the phone does not recognize them and they need to be re-activated, requiring you to connect to the web site again. Not always available on the road! Got rid of them after this happened the third time and bought a less expensive unit that has its own display so no phone needed either. So far after about 6 month this less expensive unit with its own display has worked perfectly.
So FAr So Good

Very easy and straight forward installation on the Harley and software on the phone. It took a few minutes of laying on the driveway with my phone up against the sender before they recognized each other but, once done, the connection seems solid. Accuracy ( as compared to two different manual tire gauges ) seems quite good too. The sender is very sensitive to pressure changes caused by the ambient air temp. and the temp. of the tire. I'm still getting used to the audible alert I get whenever I walk anywhere in the vicinity of my garage and the air is cold. It is nice to have a user settable high / low range but you must remember that the tire pressure goes up or down about 2 psi for every 10 degree "F" change in temp. of the air inside the tire. If you only allow for an alarm +/- 2 or 3 degrees, your phone will be alerting you every time you move near the bike. I'd suggest at least an 8 degree +/- range. Don't know how long the batteries will last as I am still on the first set after about 3 months. They give you an extra set and, they are an easy size to buy. I would recommend the FOBO setup and, intend to buy another set for my Goldwing Trike.
Pretty darn good

These are great tire monitors for motorcycle riders. The app sends alerts to your phone if the tire pressure is too low or too high. I wear a bluetooth headphone, so the alerts notify me right thru my headset. Without a doubt best air pressure monitors out there.
** Only downside, is you need to keep your location setting on for the app to work. It drains my battery on my phone pretty quickly, and sometimes I forget to turn the app on or turn the location setting off when I'm done. If they can modify the app, its a sure 5 star.
FOBO Still Hasn't Done Any Quality Control
by Road Glide (1 out of 5 stars)
May 29, 2018
Like so many other's results, they wouldn't pair with my phone. FOBO needs to do some *serious* quality control and check every set of these before they leave the factory.
The procedure isn't hard to follow, and the app gives you the go-ahead when it's ready to pair. I watched the FOBO web site videos, turned on the phone's Location (GPS) and Bluetooth functions, disabled the LTE on the phone, and pressed "go" at the right time. The first 3 times it tried to pair, the app said it wasn't getting anything, but on the follow-on attempts, the app just kept spinning. I had to use the phone's controls and manually disable the app to stop it, as it was frozen in an endless loop.
Next, I tried the other sensor (still on the rear wheel, as required by the procedure...still no go. Then I tried replacing the batteries in both sensors...Nope. Tried with a different phone..."Heck" no. Used the manual Bluetooth scan on both phones to see if the sensors were transmitting...Zero.
FOBO web site doesn't have much for troubleshooting, so I'm at "all stop." Sent a msg to them through the site, but don't expect a response before tomorrow. In the meantime, I've already printed out the return label.
7 month Update****
by Rusty (2 out of 5 stars)

7 months later 1 of 2 sensors has died, and will no longer communicate. So now I'm torn. When it works it's great, but at this price should also be far more reliable. Not sure I feel like dealing with warranty bs so will prob just try a cheaper product that will last just as long if not longer. So does the product work as stated. Yes, until it doesn't.
Also not fullly sold on the phone connection/app, really believe I would rather just have a small display showing my pressures I can attach to the bike without having to messed around with the phone.
Also noticed as it aged it gave far more incorrect pressure settings. When I first got it, really was pretty close to all gauge checks. But as the months went on the pressure was recording low and even sometimes high, off by almost 1 lb plus. (and yes batteries were replaced, full charge)
Peace of mind these products are a must for any motorcycle without pressure sensing. Just not sure "these" are worth the price.

Original review.
So far has been great, pressure reads very close to accurate. like .2 lbs max difference in tolerance for a the few gauges i've checked with.
- you can custom your warning pressure and tire temps, but i have never tripped any of those warnings to let you know how quickly it notifies.
- app does need to remain running in back ground from what i have seen.
- unknown how accurate the tire temp is. but def a good tool for us sport riders to gauge tire and traction readyness.!
really its worth even if just for piece of mind, ive gotten comfortable enough with it where i trust it when i do my visual checks, and pull the app up before i ride. I still manually check tires pressures but far less often as it's so far been right on the money.
Reason i bought this. recently had my first true tire blow out experience, kept the bike up thankfully but literally lost all air pressure in about 40 seconds @ highway speed. With this tool in theory, I could have had warning of exact cause that would have gotten me into the slowing down process faster without wasting that time with the mental check list of trying to figure out if just road surface, wind etc..
Great Product, must have for all motorcycle owners!!!!!

I must say it is so nice when a product works as advertised and does exactly what it is meant to do. While I am sure there are several more thrills the developers could package into these sensors I love the fact i am getting exactly what I expected. I have read every review on this product and am dumbfounded at the number of folks that were not able to get the sensors to pair with their phones, a simple reach out to the customer service team most likely would have resolved the issue. I have a Galaxy S5 and must say the pairing process took less then 3 minutes once they were installed on each tire and most of that was downloading the app, you literally open the app, tap the sensor and BOOM..... they are paired. Watch YouTube videos as well, those will give you an idea of what to expect if you are on the fence, helped push me toward purchasing them as I was most worried about the valve stem and general install.
I highly recommend this for anyone that is even remotely worried about tire pressure. Nothing would suck more then to be in the middle of the ride only to realize the problem could have been solved by simply adding a little air to your tire before leaving. While the sensors may be a bit big for my taste you get used to them and they even add a little flare to the rims depending on if you get black or silver.
Great customer support, emails where answered within 24hrs or less with general UI questions I had with the app and custom setup.
All in All great product and will look to purchase more for my trailer as well.
Makes checking tire pressure simple!

I've had these sensors for about 5 months on my Goldwing. Took a little effort to get them to connect to the phone. Since then they have worked flawlessly! I have throughout the 5 months checked with a manual air pressure gauge and there has been less than a 1/2 pound difference; most the time spot on. It's nice to be able to check your tire pressure on a ride after a rest or meal; simply look at your phone :) Something to know as well ... I use a Sena headset ... should the air pressure drop below the pressure you have set a warning sound will be heard through the Sena. I have found that having this TPMS provides some real confidence that my tires are doing ok. I would recommend this product.
Solid product, with some use limitations

A nicely designed product, functions well. The app might be better though - for ex. I don't want the background service to run at all - no option to disable this.
Be sure to follow the bold red text inside the package which says "make sure there is at least 10mm gap between sensor and other motorcycle parts". I did not pay enough attention to that, which resulted in rear sensor being damaged by suspension and brake calipers right after I attached it and moved the bike a bit. My fault, luckily the thread on the sensor is softer then on the stem, so I only had to re-pump the tire. The sensor is a waste now though. I will be looking into in-wheel sensors now.
