I have been in the mark searching for a Smart Lock for so long and had found that most of the smart locks require complicated installation. This one is very simply to use and to install and it serves the purpose well. Particularly, the installation is extremely easy, which only takes less than 5 mins to complete and I like the feature on the app that you can gently knock on your phone 3 times to unlock the door when the phone is still in our pocket.

This products did not work at all. It would turn the lock. But never fully open? There was ZERO directions.. It came with this thing I have no idea what it is or what it is for. Don't waist your time. Not worth it.

This lock is unreliable, and so is the company. The company makes claims that it simply does not meet. No the batteries do not last 500 days. No the apps are not updated to even match the basic functionality they promise. And to boot they have no customer service whatsoever. Their support boils down to reset the lock, reinstall the app and if that fails look at our forums maybe someone has a solution. If that fails -- ie even the reset and readd the lock part fails, they refuse to answer their emails (and there is of course no phone support). This product was a great idea. It still is a great idea. The problem is the company. They have no ability to communicate, they do not understand product development, production or support.

This is the worst product, I backed it on Kickstarter. It's been three years, there are over a dozen products on the market that blow this product out of the water. I used it for about 2 months till I upgraded my house to Kevo and august lock. They work flawlessly with the wink hub.

Unit died before two weeks so it definitely will not last 500 days for you and if you rely on this it will get you locked out. No Wifi adapter yet and hardware is not compatible with Homekit and the secret knock feature isn't happening so there is no compelling reason to buy this product as it's ONLY bluetooth dongle for your lock, and since bluetooth is slower to connect as you a have to open the app and then wait for the connection you aren't saving any time over using your keys. Company lies as to their timeline and features and offers little to no customer support. DO NOT BUY.

Pretty awesome smart lock that works as advertised. I no longer need to fear losing my key or shuffling through my pockets to find my key because now my phone is my key. I'm not exactly sure what happened to the others, but this just works and I've been using it for over half a year now with the battery still alive and well. I especially like that you can view a history of who has used the smart lock, and one of the most useful features I've found is the auto-lock feature, so I never need to leave home thinking if I locked the door or not because it just is! My favorite parts are: 1. Super easy to install (literally takes less than 10 minutes, remove the double-sided tape, align the lock-twister mechanism, place on top of lock, done!) 2. When connected on bluetooth it keeps track of the exact position of the lock 3. Super low battery use 4. Convenient to use with a super easy to use app. Hit the button on the app to lock and unlock. Easy peasy. 5. Don't need to remember to bring a metal key anymore, especially on vacations! The minor gripes I have are the following: 1. Sometimes the history takes a long time to load if you haven't loaded it in a while, and it loads oldest first. 2. The sesame smart lock cannot be used outside of bluetooth range without the wifi dongle, so I can't unlock the lock for one-time guests when I'm at work or somewhere else outside of home. Honestly this lock is the only smart device I think that is worth having in every house as long as it works with your lock type. It's fun and intuitive.
