It is a great little humidifier
by Lynn (5 out of 5 stars)

Everyone that came by my desk asked me about this item and I wish I had a dollar for every person that asked where I got it. It is a great little humidifier. It goes through a bottle of water about every 4 hours, which if you think about it, is a really good thing because that moisture is going into the air. My eyes feel so much better, my chapped lips have improved and sinuses feel much better. It has a power cord that plugs into my computer and I do wish it included a regular plug in to an electric outlet, but I do have one for my phone that will work. This is for a small area, and I would definitely recommend it. There should be several orders from my coworkers - it is a hit. By the way, it holds about 6 ounces of water and you cannot hear it at all. Totally silent.

Perfect for Travel - Common Sense Required
by Sovay (5 out of 5 stars)

Fantastic for work travel! I have had this for over a year, have used it in hotels in FL, Las Vegas, Tennessee & countless other parts of the country. Always in hotels. Has been working GREAT!! But you do have to maintain it!

I think people w/ negative reviews have unrealistic expectations & not much common sense (no offense)

TIPS

Use common sense, this isn't something you're going to get daily, long term use from. Buy a legit humidifier for that. Ideal for travel.

Put a towel down underneath, can cause some pooling of water. Don't put your cell phone next to it.

There is no shut off. I turn it on at bed time & just let it run. By the time I wake up, the water bottle is empty, I unplug it, remove the filter & let it dry out while I'm out & about.

Distilled water will make it last the longest, so hard water (minerals) won't clog it up. Since I never have that when I'm traveling, use bottled water.

When not in use, remove the white absorbent filter stick & LET IT DRY. Otherwise the top, that is closest to the output hole, will get moldy/mildew & clog it up. My guess is the people who have issues just let the filter sit in the wet/damp water bottle 24/7 (yet you're surprised when it stops working?)

You are going to have to buy replacement filters. Point, blank period. If you don't want to deal w/ that, buy a real humidifier.

Genius idea who ever came up w/ it!

Little Blue Humidifier
by Toshihiro Kihara (4 out of 5 stars)

I like this little humidifier. It is nice, quiet, and easy to use. It came with the blue humidifier cap, bottle, usb cable, and two filters (one already in the holder). There are several things to note when using this product.
1. The USB cable works but is kinda flimsy compared to other USB cables. Not much of a problem if your not manhandling it but over time it may get weaker.
2. When you put water into it and plug it in, it may not emit mist at first (either in the beginning or after not using it for a while). This is because the filter has to absorb the water first and then the fan can blow the water out as a mist (water wicking). To deal with this, hold on to the cap and bottle and tilt it horizontally or almost upside down. It should start working afterwards.
3. The bottle is not screwed in to the cap but instead is pressed into a rubber piece. Surprisingly, it creates a good seal; found out many times after knocking it over and no leaks were present (don't expect it to be flawless though).
4. My mist goes up to around 6 to 7 inches from the cap.
5. When the bottle becomes empty, I do notice that the led turns off but touching the top of the cap, it is warmer then usual. Personally, I would rather unplug it just in case then leave it plugged in.

Overall, it was a good purchase. I can't comment on how much it helps with humidity since this is my first time using a humidifier and can't really tell if this is helping or not. Regardless, it's nice.

Nice bang for the buck but has a couple of drawbacks.
by Sewcrafty (4 out of 5 stars)

This is a handy little thing. I like how compact it is. I've seen some travel humidifiers for water bottles that take up much more room in luggage. I haven't road tested it yet as I haven't had to do any travelling recently but have tried it out at home. There are two drawbacks that I can see with this. Both are relatively minor. One is that it emits a blue light when it's on. I like perfect darkness when I sleep so this could be a problem in a hotel room. The light could be annoying. The other is that the filter is too short to use in a tall bottle. You could still put it in a taller bottle but it won't wick the water up once the water has depleted to a certain level. That limits the run time to about 6 hours. I don't know about you but I like to get a nice 8 hours of sleep per night. It would be nice if they made the wick/filter a little longer so it could run long enough to get a good, night's sleep.

For the price this is a pretty good little unit though and I like that I can plug it into a USB or use an adapter to plug it into an outlet. That makes is a bit more versatile in a hotel as you never know how many outlets you'll have but you can have this plugged into your laptop while it's charging.

This is scary--works too well!
by Joe Mama (1 out of 5 stars)

This works well--and for that reason it is not good to get!

I wanted to humidify the air in winter, and I was glad that I could get a mini humidifier that I could plug into my computer. It worked so nicely...until I made the connection that the zapping sounds I was hearing on my earbuds came from the water dripping from the steam of the humidifier and hitting the place where the cord plugged into the humidifier.

If they had just made a lip that extended from the side of the cap, this could have been awesome. As it is, it could do serious damage to your computer. No thanks!

I really liked it, though--I may try to fashion some sort of extender so the plug is protected. I just strongly feel that it should have come with one or been designed better.

Do not buy!

This is a piece of crap! I have gotten too comfortable with buying items with 3 stars from Amazon believing I have been some kind of lucky being that my items always worked out just fine. Well this one is for the record books, because it is CRAP. I paid <$15 and got exactly what I paid for. I can say it worked perfectly for about two weeks of continuous use. Then the unit stopped working, it comes on with the blue light and hums very loudly. I cleaned the top with vinegar as recommended, changed the filter when I noticed it was a little brown on the tip (after 2 weeks). My office is extremely dry and it is now winter time in NYC with the dry heat baking my skin, throat/nose, and office plants. I NEEDED THIS THING TO WORK. Do not buy! Look into items with the best seller sticker and 4+ ratings with over 75 reviews. Thats probably a sure thing and worth the extra few dollars you'll spend.

PERFECT HUMIDIFIER FOR TRAVEL
by T.I. (5 out of 5 stars)
February 28, 2015

I bought this for my week stay at a hotel last week. UNBELIEVABLE. It is affordable but yet does the job so well. It is so small that I can carry it in my backpack. Very very quiet. The moment you turn it on, you see the mist literally come out so you know it is working. I have had many humidifiers that are the usual size (basketball size) and they work but is too big to carry around. This one is so portable but actually does the same job as the big one so it is a MUST BUY. The power cord connects to a USB AC adapter which is another plus. In this time and age, no one travels without a USB adapter, so it reduces the things that you have to take on a trip. This USB idea is GENIUS. All in all, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this item for any traveler. Yes, it would work for home and work environment, but this is especially effective for travel.

Great little humidifer for a small cheese cave.

This little humidifier is great! I needed something to fit into a compact refrigerator to keep my humidity above 80% without getting in the way. Perfect size and only have to refill it every other day. I'm using it in conjunction with a WILLHI WH1436H Air Humidity Controller and they work well together. The only other item you will need to combine these two is something like the iClever BoostCube 12W 2.4A USB Wall Charger because the humidifier runs off a USB port.

Returned item
by Homespun (1 out of 5 stars)
January 31, 2016

I returned this unit as soon as it arrived as it's just the top part and doesn't contain the bottle as shown in the picture. Placed on a taller bottle, I was concerned about the possibility of tipping over next to my computer as I planned to use it at work. The return was accepted and I did not have a problem getting my money back. I may have missed in the description where it could have mentioned that the bottle was not included as I was looking over several choices at the same time. Just be sure you reread the description before you buy, as I missed it.

BEWARE! BEWARE!
by Chris St.John (1 out of 5 stars)

First, I bought three. When they finally came from China, none of them worked more than a minute or so. Plus they came with no bottles. The second time, I specifically ordered the version WITH bottles in blue. What I finally got was two tops in white and no bottles. PLUS THEY DID NOT WORK EITHER. Waste of money and time.
