I never even realized I was creative until this book came around. I absolutely love the idea of being able to do WHATEVER you want with this book. This book will save your life, it decreases anxiety and increased my excitement about life. If you are debating purchase please don't anymore!! It's 10$ at first but turns into a priceless item!

This book has exceeded all expectations so far. I suffer from very bad anxiety and depression and have been using this book as an outlet and somewhat as a therapy tool. The pages all have different assignments or tasks on them that push you out of your comfort zone and create a wonderful feeling of freedom when they are done. Page one said "crack the spine" which I had a very hard time with, but with each speed bump of ripping out pages, folding, cutting, crinkling, messing, glueing, sticking, I feel more and more free and love this book that much more every time. Some like "color outside the lines" are very easy, while others push you to be weird like "collect dead bugs". Definitely forces you to think outside the box! I highly suggest this book to anyone who needs a creative outlet for emotional reasons, or just wants to have a good bit of fun! I will be buying another to replace it and start all over when I'm done.

Maybe fun for a kid

I've never heard of this book before, but based on the great reviews, I bought 4 of these as Christmas gifts for four adult women. The books were not exactly what I was expecting. The book guides the user to do random things, many of which are just messy and gross to do in a book you plan to keep and continue to use. I also kind of think that the actions are pointless. I will be returning all but one of these books. The one I keep will be given to my step-daughter's 3-year-old son. I ended up going to a book store and I found a similar book that seemed like it might be a little more fun for a grown-up called "rip it write it draw it."

Bought for someone in treatment center

I bought this book for my daughter because she was in a drug treatment center and other girls had them. I went to the dollar store and purchased a 8 pack of colored pens to go along with it. When the book arrived I was suprised because it was not the size I expected. Do your research bc there are 3 different sizes. The contents of the book are amazing, some what funny the places to Smash at. Very therapeutic for anyone exp. if you get the small one and carry it in your purse. She loved this book and I feel it helped with the process. Its a keep sake for sure!

This thing is AWESOME! I had never heard of it until I started looking into a journal for myself, I've never been into it but thought it might help with my stress and anxiety. Well I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd and decided to I theme mine up. I have recommended this to literally everyone I talk to! For some reason I can only upload one photo. Boo. Anyway, JUST BUY IT YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

This journal really does want you to wreck it! With instructions like: crack the spine, ripe this page out, pour sticky things all over this page, mail this page to someone, tear this page, etc., the journal allows you to free yourself from any perfectionism streaks--which is why I bought this journal in the first place. I have a hard time using new journals or sketch books because I hate to "mess them up." I'd hoped that forcing myself to defile a journal would get me over this mind-set and already I see progress. A friend of mine put it this way, start with low-stakes creativity which will lead you to be able to participate in high-stakes creativity. Enjoy it for what it is: an opportunity to experiment with your creativity.

Why I Bought it:
I bought this because my friend recommended it to me and I've heard a lot about this journal.

Information about it:
This is by far the the most unique "Journal" I have ever bought. Be warned that this is not your typical journal. This is more of an art journal. You will not write a lot in it, you will mostly draw in it.

Who is it for?
This is perfect for both kids and adults. A great gift for artists too!

What is it?
This is a journal/Art Journal however You will have to "Wreck" it meaning it may ask you to rip, burn, or throw the journal! Who ever thought of such a thing! As I said before, not a lot of writing and definitely not a diary.

What I think about it:
I absolutely love it. Great to pass time and I like the fact that you don't have to go in order Meaning you get to pick what page you want to do. I've seen people take up to a year or more to complete theirs. I also like the fact that no two journals are the same. If you need some help finding inspiration or want to get a closer look, type in "Completed Wreck This Journal" and you'll see what I mean. Definitely a great buy and shipping was fast!

Bought one of these for each of our girls at our residential housing for Christmas. They had a BLAST! Was one of the first things they ever got that they were told to destroy! They were taken back, we even had one that couldn't do it. She didn't want to wreck it and ended up giving it to her brother haha. They had fun throwing it out the window, freezing it, taking it in the shower...just all kinds of things. My daughters girl scout troop uses them as well and they have fun. My kids journals are getting pretty colorful and ragged looking haha. WE love them! Would for sure order from them again. Came when said and had no issues. Thank you so much.

What a great idea for something different! My daughter asked for this for Christmas, and I had no clue what she was talking about. So, searching for it on Amazon...I thought it was a cute idea. Got it in the mail super fast and flipped through it, just to make sure it was going to be cool for my 12 year old. It had me wishing that there was something like that around when I was 12. I may order another one and go through the steps with her. She'll love it when she gets it on Christmas!

life changer

OK so I do not even know where to begin with this! I am very sick in my life a lot of the time. I suffer with many things. Some of them include... lupus, fibrimyalgia, diabetes, and high blood pressure. I have two very young children. I saw some YouTube videos about these journals and I decided this would be great to do with my children. I wanted to do something creative and fun with them to leave behind a great memory of us together in case one day I may not be here any longer. I was spending a lot of time in bed before we got the journals spending hours on end on my smart phone and sort of ignoring everyday life around me. Well the journals have helped so much to pull me away from that and back to where I needed to be. Back into life and the world around me! After I started this journals with my little ones I decided to get some for my step children who are troubled teens and they are helping them immensely as well. I also got some for my husband. Everyone got one and they have been such a saving grace for us. They help in so many many ways. I feel like doing these has been a way to ground us all and pull us closer. This is a journey in life I will forever be great full for. Please please buy it and try it. It will change you in ways you never thought it could.
