This hat will get your flux capacitor fluxing

Last week, a time traveling DeLorean was on the streets of DC, fully tricked out (with flux capacitor and even the alarm clock from the first movie!), and I got a chance to try it out.

This was a little boy's dream come true.

Never mind that in the 30 years that have passed since the movie came out, I've gone from a single-digit lad to a guy in his 30s with a big bushy beard; at that moment, when I sat behind the wheel, I was 5 years old again. A photographer was there, and as you can see in the attached photo, what I experienced was a moment of pure, unadulterated glee. Great Scott!

As you can also see, I was wearing the BTTF2 rainbow hat, which I purchased on Amazon three years ago because I knew I JUST KNEW that in 2015, that hat would become relevant, just as foretold in celluloid prophesy.

So, for being an amazing hat that contributed to one of the happiest pictures ever taken of me, this hat gets five stars.

For being really cool and instantly recognizable as the BTTF2 rainbow hat, this gets five stars.

For bringing smiles and joy to passersby as they realize it's 2015 and we are all Marty Jr. now, this gets five stars.

But for being really stiff, uncomfortable to wear out and about, and waaaay too small for my 25" head even at the very tip of the velcro adjuster strap, this gets 3 stars. (Granted, I normally wear XXL hats, but still, this hat seems smaller than even your standard adjustable cap.) It's tight, and not in a cool kid way like how everything was "heavy" to Marty. There's no problem with the Earth's gravitational pull in the future, but yes, things do tend to fit more tightly these days. :)

Anyway, if you are a fan of the Back to the Future franchise, you owe it to yourself to have this hat around. Even if you don't wear it very much, I guarantee it you it will bring you far more smiles than the number of dollars you paid for it.

I had this exact same hat years ago when I was a kid. Not sure what happened to it... but it's nice to add it back into my collection. This hat looks and feels great. It also goes great with my BTTF collection!

I just wanted to show the hat in action, without the boring commentary. However, I just had a few things to add:
1. It's a little big, but should fit most adult males.
2. It comes with some warping in the plastic. Just pack it very tightly with a blanket to shape it and leave it in the car on a hot day to "iron out" any folds.
3. The bill comes flat, but can be reshaped with some persuasion.
4. It's freaking awesome! It's just like the one in the movie!

Don't wait until 2015 for them to come into fashion! Start the trend now! :)

Last year, 2018, I purchased this hat. I was really impressed with the quality, colors, and everything else. I ended up giving it to a friend who likes Back to the Future more than I do. So I decided to order another one of this, even though right now it costs 2x the price I paid previously. Anyways, I needed the cap. What a big mistake. This time is came completely wrinkled and VERY VERY torn. I mean, I tried filling it up with clothes and leaving it overnight to see if it would go back to its original format, but no. It is so irregular that, although it fits my head, it seems like the cap was made out of two different halves. I couldn't be more disappointed. I hope someday I manage to have this cap again in a decent condition.

I read the reviews, good and bad. I have to say that the hat is damn near perfect. I don't usually wear ball caps, as I've got a big melon and they don't look good. This is the exception. It's a bit tight and hard to get all the way down on my head, as most caps (even adjustable ones) are for me. But the stiffness that some people are complaining about actually lets the hat keep it's shape. I didn't find any scratches or bad stitching as some reviews have mentioned. The only real con is you'll probably have to reshape the hat after it gets banged around in the box during shipping, as it's only in a sealed plastic bag in the package (I stuffed it with a couple t-shirts overnight and it was fine). The bill was super easy to bend/roll. The colors are super vibrant and the pictures don't really do it justice. This is perfect for any McFly Halloween or Con costume. I would 100% recommend this hat for any BTTF enthusiast!

Hard Hat for Hard Heads?

I have been wanting to add this hat to my collection of movie memorabilia, so I finally ordered it. It was delivered quickly and at first sight, I loved the cap. It changes color when you hold it at different angles, just as I thought it would. I tried it on my adult average sized head, and was surprised to find it quite heavy and somewhat large. I don't think it is meant to be worn, but I believe it will last a long time sitting out as an interesting decor item. Too hot for summer heat, to wear outside. There are little bumps in the material along the outer edge of the brim, on the underside. Maybe glue bumps, I don't know. I would have given it 5 stars had the cap been softer and more wearable. Great prop.

I don't usually wear hats, but I have always loved Marty McFly's and wanted it so when I saw this one made by a company I know, I instantly bought it. This hat wasn't comfortable at first, especially as I wore it with my hair in a ponytail, but the sun kind of molded the hat into the shape it needed to be to be comfortable. It does this whenever I wear it, which is really cool. The way it shines and changes colors makes this the perfect hat for me as someone who really likes multicolored things and as a fan of Back to the Fiture.

Great replica! It's exactly like the movie.came with tags this hat is 100% authentic.tag states that it's from back to the future 2.it's Martys hat anybody worried that this is not authentic don't worry it is authentic.the hat is very stiff hard material I just bought this to hang on my hoverboard for a collectible.unfortunately my came damaged with a scratch on the front lip and imperfections on the back of the hat.Amazon is good about returns.any back to the furture fan will love it. It doesn't fit my head good but it might fit someone else's head just fine. if you're using it just for a collectible it's amazing .Even though it came damaged I'm still giving it five stars because the hat is still amazing and an Amazon is replacing it for a new one.heads up it has Velcro on the back to adjust the size but the one in the movie doesn't have anything to adjust the size it's completely one piece which is nicer but his company A great hat and it's authentic and licensed but not a exact replica

I bought this cap for my teenage grandson. It just came today, but he really loves it. The colors are more vibrant than expected. He's so pleased, he suggested I take a picture and write a review.
