Decent but underwhelming...

I haven't actually opened the set yet as it will be a Xmas gift for a friend, so can't say whether the scent is really nice/quality. Wasn't able to determine smell thru the clear package either. But will say that I wasn't impressed and was underwhelmed with the overall presentation. It just didn't really pop the way I'd hoped in the packaging. Very bland look with rather boring label and a simple red ribbon that also didn't lend much. I will have to do a lot to add excitement to it, and now rather than that being the central gift, I'll have to go ahead and throw in a bottle of wine and other niche items to make it feel more noteworthy. Was hoping it would be distinctive looking enough in person with equally cute and enticing packaging to suffice as a gift with something small along with it. On the plus side, it would be an adorable stocking stuffer for a wine lover, or as a cute add-in for a basket style gift. And as I noted, I haven't smelled them so they may actually have a wonderful scent for your personal use or for a gift. Otherwise nothing was really wrong with them so will not bother returning, particularly as the price point was modest enough.

Bought these as a random gift for my wife. With that being said, I wasn't too disappointed in them as they weren't bought for a major purpose.

Scent is strong, almost overpowering as soon as you open the box. But it wasn't an unpleasant.

Put them in a wine bottle and lit one. Wax quickly ran down the bottle and dripped everywhere, all over the counter. Put the bottle on a paper plate... Classy! note for next time to put the bottle on top of something to collect wax.

The real disappointing part was the burn time. Lasted about 10 minutes, and only burned a little more than halfway through. Smaller tealight candles last longer...

All in all, not a bad concept. Just poorly executed.

A friend had given me a set of this type of candle as a gift, and I loved them. So after they were gone, I went searching to buy more on my own. I tried these because they offered more candles for less money than most offerings. The positives: They look nice, and they do smell like Merlot. The not-so-positives: They did not fit in the wine bottle I was using, and they burn pretty fast. I had to take an exacto knife and whittle down the base of each one to get them into the bottle opening. They burned pretty quickly, and did not melt and coat the bottle as nicely as the set that was given to me. I will be trying another offering when I order my next set. The old adage holds true here: you do get what you pay for. I'll be more willing to buy the more expensive offerings and see how they are.

The smell is reminiscent of the old strawberry shortcake dolls, but don't actually smell when you burn them. The only problem I really had with these was that it fit none of my bottles. None. It was always either too big or too small. But they burned nicely and smelled like a childhood beyond mine.

Wax burns too fast

I think these candles are BEAUTIFUL, and smell amazing, but I had to scrape the bottom because it was too big in diameter for all my wine bottles. Also they burn extremely fast. I just like a candle 20minutes ago and it has already melted completely down. I will look for a longer lasting wax next time I buy candles for my wine bottles

They are beautifully made but only burn for 10 minutes and for the price not worth it. They do not burn all the way down before they self-extinguish? Not anything else to say about them at this point!

I absolutely love the look of these! They smell amazing as well. Although theyou don't quite fit my wine bottles (just a tad too small), I used some hot glue to make them fit. I cannot give a review on the actual burning of the candle though, as I bought themy actually actually gift for my sister and I don't think she plans to burn them.
