What is the Wheelman? The Wheelman is a center mounted engine and frame vehicle, supported at each end by a spokeless wheel into which your feet can be inserted while standing upright. The 2010 Wheelman has a 50cc 2-stroke engine which takes a mix of gas and oil just like a weed whacker. It holds 1 liter of fuel and will give you a run time of over 1 hour or 30 miles and speeds up to 25 mph. How does it work? The learning curve of a Wheelman is very similar to skate/snow/surf board riding. And if you have any experience in these you will be surprised on how fast you pick it up. At speed you use body movement to steer and at low speed (and you can ride a Wheelman at an extremely slow pace) you can angle the front wheel from side to side with your foot. The speed is controlled by a cable type controller held in your hand, the more you squeeze, the more fun you have! To slow down, simply let off of the throttle for a slow smooth deceleration. To stop quickly, simply pull the brake lever on the hand held control. Tearing up the grass, sliding in the dirt, cruising the beach, that's the Wheelman life! Extreamly fun but just takes a while to learn how to start off but that's only because before it's broken in, it has NO take off but once you break it in after about 6 tanks of gas it flys, you also need a little more padding on your shins if riding for a while, very satisfied with my wheelman though.

There's nothing about this product that I can commend. The closest I can come to a positive is that once I fueled it up, it started up quickly.

The 'user manual' included refers to it by 5 different unique names, and is mostly unintelligible gibberish.

The device itself has an anemic 48cc engine producing 1-2 horsepower. You'll need to be 150 lbs at most to get anywhere near the 'top speed' advertised. If you're over 200 lbs it's not going to move period.

I was extremely excited about this, even being willing to drop the 500$ on one. Everything about it is as cheap and crap and hastily slapped together as possible. The plastic body still had shavings where it was roughly cut out, the guide rod on top is hydraulic hose (not steel reinforced thankfully), the wheel guides are cheap plastic.

Overall it's not worth 100$, let alone 500. And just for a point of scale, it's about 4 feet long, 18 inches tall, and weights about 60lbs.

love this, it took probably 4 hors to learn how to ride, but worth it. Also a chick magnet. 😉 when it arrived there were scratches but I didn't mind. Amazing and awsome. Reccomended

This thing is way fun! I can zip around my neighborhood onI sidewalks or streets.

The learning curve was pretty quick, and I have no skateboarding experience (though I do snowboard), just as the other reviews say, start on grass and it helps to have a friend hold your hand when you get on.

My only complaint is that it's a bit too heavy to carry around easily. I might have to make myself some sort of back harness.
