Easily broken, just like a real zombie!
by Great31337 (3 out of 5 stars)

Well, upon receiving this kit my son was quite excited ( admittedly, I was too). Without hesitation we opened the box. I took out a figure ,as did my son. Within moments, with only the slightest provocation, one of the legs had broken off. I had read a previous review of this product which stated that the same thing happened to them, so I found a bit of humor in that. I simply took this figure apart for later restringing. Upon investigating the clothing, we discovered that of the three outfits ( scrubs, business suit, lab coat) there are only two pairs of pants included! Oh well, I figure we can work around that somehow.

The sculpts on the heads do look pretty nice, and it is pretty simple to take them apart to add the rotted limbs.

As of now we have only started the building of one of the zombies. Overall I think it is a pretty interesting concept, however, If the two reviews here are any indication, be prepared to make some repairs. Also, pants for all three zombies would've been nice.

Not Worth The Purchase
by Alex Sabato (2 out of 5 stars)
January 28, 2013

I was reluctant to purchase the item based on the reviews regarding the pieces breaking easily. Well to my own dismay I purchased the item and right from the get go limbs started breaking. Every time I tried to remove a limb the piece holding it in place would break. On every one of the models one of the legs snapped off. I eventually glued the legs in place on one model. I found that softening the plastic by heating it with a flame helped to some degree but left the material too soft and plyable. I ended up getting one figure together and a second one I left in pieces and painted it making it look dismembered on purpose. The idea behind the product was great but when in came down to ease of replacing parts it has definitely failed horribly.

Excellent Custom Project
by G. L. Upton (5 out of 5 stars)

I absoluetly love this set.

It was my first real foray into custom painting. I was a bit hesitant to get the set because of that, but am ultimately glad I did.

I have had no problems with any of the pieces in my set. Although, I wish there were more clothes. I think there are plenty for the cost of the set, I just found that I wanted more to increase my variations.

I think this set is a great project to take on. And the company is very helpful if you have any issues or questions. If you are on the fence about this set, I suggest doing a little research outside of these reviews first. You will glad to hear what others have to say.

In short: worth your time and money.

Good concept, Poor execution...
by Big Andy (1 out of 5 stars)

I have to second what a couple of other reviewers posted about this. I'm not going to pile on and trash it but I will say that whilst it's a great concept, the production leaves much to be desired. Parts are as fragile as eggshells, and unless you're handling them with a feather light touch, be prepared for frustration as I had several pieces snap.

Zombie kit was a lot of fun.

I've bought a few of these kits so far - love building the zombie figures.

The sculpts are awesome and the swap-out parts ingenious.

I thoroughly enjoyed the packaged dvd - the technique of dry-brushing paint and bringing out the detail was fun and super easy.

The appeal isn't just for the serious collector - my teenage kids enjoyed it - even my daughter's boyfriend who could care less about toys.

Have some Zombie fun
by drogge (5 out of 5 stars)

Really enjoyed putting these together, great fun with the grandkids. When we were done we sat back and laughed. Not sure if we created the best zombies or if they are keepers, but we had fun! Like any other put together kit, take it for what its worth and the fun lies in the creative process and sharing with others, I highly reccommend this product.

I have bought 4 sets and they were awesome. My daughter is 9 and she has had a blast building these creepy critters from the dead. Highly recommended :)

Save your money!!! Do not buy.
by Derek McHenry (1 out of 5 stars)

After watching the instructional DVD, I attempted to put together my zombies. First off, one of the three figures had his arms on backwards. Since the arms cannot be removed, I was going to put the prosthetic rotten chest on the back of the figure. Next, I tried to remove the forearm off one of the other figures to replace it with a bitten arm and the joint pin snapped in half. On the same figure, the leg broke off just from trying to turn it. It seems that not a lot of thought went into designing these figures. :( Save your money and avoid the frustration.
