the bulb socket is not candelabra size, it is a regular full size E26 socket. max 25W means most CFL bulbs are fine, but a full size bulb sticks out and looks dumb. you can see the screws holding the "paint" together from the back of the lamp. the cord visibly emerges from the base. there is an inline switch on the cord. the lamp shade is open at the top; it's not actually a bucket. it's made of cloth.

it has a UL listed sticker.

I feel like this lamp was somewhat misrepresented and poorly designed, but I was going to modify it to use flat LEDs anyway.

I just got two of these in the mail along with the candelabra bulbs the description stated I need to order separately. Unfortunately, there is a huge orange insert inside the box that says "CAUTION - Only A15 25-Watt Appliance bulb of CFL equivalent." Luckily Amazon has offered to send me the correct bulbs overnight and take the incorrect ones back with a free shipping label. I've also submitted a description change request to Amazon.

Overall, the lamp is adorable and will make a great a great addition to our playroom. The base and "arm" are plastic, the lampshade is a standard fabric shade. I'm not a fan of the black cord but after reading other reviews I knew to expect it. It should be white in my opinion. I don't think it will tip over easily but I'm going to use a little removable adhesive putty to keep them in place just in case.

strange quirky lamp

I was looking for a fun lamp for my daughter's new bedroom. while this is fun and quirky, it looks cheaply made. it is smaller than I anticipated, the lamp shade is smaller than I was expecting. you do not use a regular bulb with this as it is too large and will melt the shade. you must use an appliance bulb. I haven't tested out ours yet as we are moving and it's still in the box. I only opened it to make sure it wasn't visibly broken. I am hoping it holds up to the move and works well as a small side table lamp.

Cute little desk lamp, but....

This lamp is super cute and the yellow is very vivid, but the cord is black. I was expecting such a cute delicate lamp to have a white or maybe even a matching cord and instead I have an industrial grade black cord that makes the lamp look cheap. I'm going to keep my Woopsy lamp because it's not worth the hassle of a return and its cute, but just wanted other buyers to know the exact description before purchasing.

Night Light, Not Bright

PROS:
1. It's a cute, whimsical lamp.
2. Great anywhere you need a little color or fun in your decor.

CONS:
1. The power cord is BLACK . I ordered a YELLOW LAMP and the BLACK CORD is VERY VISIBLE no matter how I try to hide it. Maybe a CLEAR POWER CORD would be less visible.
2. Lamp needs to be configured to take a brighter bulb. (ie. LED) Currently it is little more than a night light and i bought a table top light expecting to get table top lighting.

I will use it in my daughter's lounge as a conversation piece/night light.

Cool, But Cheap

As you can tell from the price, this is a very cheap lamp. You can just tell it's cheaply made from looking at it. This probably isn't a big deal for most people that are in the market for what's a sort of silly-looking lamp in the first place, but I'd have been happy to spend a few bucks extra to have something that didn't look like it was dorm room material. A "normal" sized bulb will be too big for it, but smaller bulbs are readily available at the store so I don't consider this as big a deal as a lot of other people seem to. I got a clear "decorative" bulb that is perfect for it. It has a thumb on/off switch on the cord, which is black.

I am in the process of decorating my sons bedroom. I was looking for a lamp that was unique. I saw this lamp and loved it based off of the pictures. I decided to order the yellow lamp. The lamp was delivered and i opened the box to find the lamp was not the color i ordered

I am very dissatisfied because I ordered a yellow lamp and received a white lamp instead. Also, the quality of the lamp is very cheap. It should be priced around $15 instead. I definitely will be sending back the lamp.

Great, fun, a little unstable

It's a very fun lamp and kids/teens would enjoy it much. Love the color yellow - very sunny (like dandelion, not at all lemony like my monitor shows me). The only concern is it might be a little unstable (the base is not that wide so with the kids it might tip over. Also (I promised one, didn't I) the wire is thick and black, you kind of want to hide it for a full effect, but the switch is a little further, so you have to keep it close. If somehow the switch would be integrated into the lamp, somewhere behind, hidden, it would be much better. But anyways, very cute little lamp!

functional whimsy

This lamp is made (in China) of cheap plastic. The shade shape and size allow for exactly two bulb options: be limited to the smallest size available, or let it peek out of the bottom, ruining the otherwise illusion-style design. That said, it's super cute and it works. I can't fault this product for not being of higher quality because it is appropriately priced and accurately advertised.
