Great warmer! I love a warm shaving cream shave in the winter months and this fits the bill perfectly! I love the way it fits my size of cream and very sleek design. I get tons of compliments and questions and it definitely is a conversation starter when guests leave the bathroom. Everyone loves the item and asks where I got it!

Pros:
- Who doesn't love warm shaving cream on their face on a cold blustery morning?
- Great design and sleek look
- Nice indicator light feature
- Heats up quickly. I can brush my teeth and my cream is ready!
- Price! While shopping I noticed that some of these warmers are $100+. This is a great buy for under $30!

Cons
- I think the cream could be a little bit hotter. Don't get me wrong its very warm but sometimes I want almost scalding and want that option. I know, I' weird :)

I have had this product for nearly two years. My previous one lasted about 14 years (give or take) until the plastic ring holding the can finally broke. This one was working great and now will not allow any flow of shaving cream. I have tried different things and I am sure that it is blocked/clogged but there are absolutely no instructions to clean it out and Conair does not even acknowledge anywhere on their web site that they have this product so in essence there is no customer support. It is really a binary purchase. If it works, it works great, otherwise it does not work at all.

This product is defective. This product used an entire bottle of gel in one use. The directions are faulty. This product does not do what it states in the directions.

About 2 years ago I converted to a safety razor with the brush and shaving soap method of shaving. For about a year I only used the brush and shaving soap and what I noticed is that if I didn't take a long shower to help soften my whiskers, shaving was uncomfortable and usually painful. During the week, and especially at night when I usually didn't usually shower beforehand, I recently started using Barbasol aerosol shaving cream and almost all of the pulling and tugging has stopped.

As for the hot lather thing, I am sure that it is a personal thing but I missed the warm lather from the brush shave so I purchased the conair hot lather machine. I tried it for the first time today and I have to say iit definitely is a nice experience (not too hot yet warmer than body temperature). It was also easy to control and It didn't make a mess at all. Obviously I have only had it a day, but I think it is well made and conair also makes my hairdryer and I have had it for over 10 years. The bottom line is I love how I can hit the ON button and have warm shaving cream after washing my face. It is a nice way to begin or end a day, and I think it was great money spent.

Conair's Lukewarm Lather and Gel Machine

This product does not really work that well. The Lather only machines that Conair used to manufactured in the past were a far superior product. The combined Lather and Gel machines carry both the hot lather and hot gel functions poorly. The machine should be called the luke warm lather and gel machine.

Works great! My previous one worked well for over ten years, but recently failed. I was so happy to find it available here AND to get it so quickly.

I missed the very-warm gel lather and the ease of one-handed operation. Has a one-hour timer built-in so i turn it on, have some coffee, then shower/shave and its ready to go! Highly recommend it.

This is a great little heater for you lather or gel. It is very simple and gets the lather very warm if you turn it up. I did notice you must make sure you turn the temp selector in the correct position to really heat up the lather.

I have an adult handicapped son that I shave every 2-3 days. His beard is exceptionally coarse. I have looked for a way to make the shaving experience more comfortable for him, trying various shaving creams and razors. A buddy of mine suggested that a warm lather might be a solution. I bought this unit and after using it three times I can say that I'm genuinely surprised at how much better the shaving is going. There is noticeably less drag on the razor, seems to be less irritation, and his reaction to the experience is much improved. All that with the standard Barbasol shaving cream which is budget priced. This unit is obviously not an expensively built product but if it lasts for six months or so, I would consider it a resounding success. I was so pleased that I bought my buddy one as a thank you for a great suggestion. So far the only criticisms that I would offer is that it certainly does not heat up instantly as mentioned in the ad, but 5-7 minutes is not a deal breaker. Like others have mentioned, I do wish it would heat the lather up a little more. I'm running the temp control wide open.

A Surprisingly Inexpensive Way to a Pleasurable and Smooth Shave

This inexpensive devise can make your shaving experience more enjoyable and give you a better shave. I usually shave with luxury shaving creams (Truefiitt &Hill, Geo F. Trumper and the like) and brush. There are occasions though when I don't have the time for the pleasurably laborious process of generating lather with a brush. When those circumstances arise, after experimenting with numerous brushless and canned shaving creams, I use Noxema Sensitive Skin canned shaving foam which I found to be while not at all glamorous or luxurious in presentation and scent a superior performing shaving cream that is also very inexpensive. This product can alone produce a shave that can rival some of the better known brands of luxury shaving creams. n comparison I found every highly advertised gel or "just apply the size of a dime" brushless shaving cream to be inferior and at times worthless. However favorable the performance of the Noxema applying the lather cold makes the use of it less pleasurable than it could be.

The Conair system heats up the lather making using it more comfortable and helps to soften the beard. The system works flawlessly. Simply follow the instructions. Some reviewers have complained that the lather is just a bit warm, not hot. When the light indicates "ready" this is true, just wait a few moments longer and the foam will come out hot. Also first dispense a bit to remove the tepid portion. There is an automatic shutdown so don't let it warm up too long or you will need to begin again.

I found the heated lather to improve the performance of a already well performing shaving cream. I highly recommend this surprisingly inexpensive product that will be a boon to your pleasurable shaving experience.

Take this back. Impossible to get the gel shaving cream loaded into the dispenser.
