Update- we ordered 2. One for us and a gift. Turns out the one we wrapped for a gift was broken. They send this wrapped in bubble wrap and in an envelope. It is not solid metal like I had prev thought. The tip of the rifle was broken off. Now they are only giving me a partial refund. Not very happy about how this is being handled.

Solid metal and does the job. Not sure why people were complaining about the push / pull style of opener. It works both ways. Don't want to pull up- flip your dude over. Makes a great stocking stuffer.

My grandson always played with green Army men when he was young. Now that he has grown up, I thought this would be a hoot. He's a hero with his friends for the best bottle opener of the group. Hahahaha. Grandma wins again.

Does not open bottles

This opener is a cool conversation piece or knick knack. But it seems to be made just a centimeter or so out of proportion. It does not open bottles very easily. I opened one bottle and after numerous attempts on others just gave up and resigned myself to leaving it on the coffee table as a paperweight.

My husband and I collect bottle openers and we were both military so I bought this as a gift. Its durable, made out of cast metal and opens the bottles great. Out of our collection, this is the one that is reached for the most. It is a talking piece along with being functional. People as us all the time where we got it.

Its really cool looking and really sturdy but its kind of a pain to actually open a bottle. Another minus is that it doesn't actually look like a bottle opener and people always ask me for a bottle opener when its sitting right in front of them. Its also kind of annoying teaching people how to actually open a bottle with it. Overall it works and am satisfied with the purchase.

Bought this as a gift for my army vet husband. He loves it!! The little soldier is tough, looks like the toys, and takes his bottle opening job very seriously.
