The tray itself is very nice, but the product dimensions are NOT ACCURATE! The white and green items both are listed as 17 x 10 x 1 inches. The black item is the only one that lists the dimensions accurately, 14 x 10 x 0.9 inches. I ordered the green "small grip tray" and it is 14 x 10 x 0.9, NOT 17 x 10 x 1. It's too small to use as a lap tray for meals, so I am returning it and ordering the larger version. I called customer service and they seemed unconcerned about the inaccuracy in the listing.

Seems like a good idea, but save your money!

Junk, save your money. I was looking for a FLAT serving tray, this thing is "concave"! When you set it down, it rocks like a boat, which makes it totally unusable. It's too much hassle to return, so I kept it, but I have absolutely no clue what I'd use it for. It'll probably end up in the trash, which still leaves me looking for a "usable" serving tray.

Tried twice - warped

I loved the design idea of this tray, which is why I even gave it 2 stars. Actually, the design is a 5 star rating, but the execution is zero stars. I have been searching for years for a non-slip tray. I got quite excited reading the reviews, and looked forward to receiving it. Unfortunately, it was warped in the middle, and it was unusable. Glasses and plates were slanted and spilled their contents. I really wanted this tray (wanted two actually), so I re-ordered, and returned the original. So very sad when the next tray arrived, warped again. Had to return it as well. I love the non-slip aspect and the size, but will not re-order as it is annoying to have to keep returning items. I would order re-order immediately if I could be guaranteed a non-warped version.

I have been searching for a food/serving tray forever and I was so happy to stumble across this brand on Amazon. I had never heard of "Joseph Joseph" brand so I did not really know what I was getting but now that I've received the tray and I am so impressed by the feel and quality I have ordered more of the Joseph Joseph products and love everything I have bought. This tray is the right size to serve you loved one breakfast in bed or if you just want to eat your food while watching TV. It is big enough to hold a large plate, saucer and cup...I purchased two white ones and liked them so much I purchased two black ones. These stack really well and do not take up a lot of space. These trays are great and the non slip feature is the icing on the cake. I can now place a drink on my tray and not worry about it sliding all over the place when I walk. These trays would make great gifts as the design is sleek and modern. Well done Joseph Joseph...I look forward to buying more of their products. I have used these trays for the last several months and they have held up really well. They are super easy to clean too! Highly recommend this product!!

Big hit!

Sent this to elderly relatives as a gift. They love these trays and use them exclusively! This was another purchase I hesitated about as it was expensive. However, they use these trays each night and no longer have spilled drinks, plates, or sliding silverware. Items placed on the tray stay in place during transport and while on laps. Worth the money! Perfect for those who are a tad unsteady and easy to clean afterward. No concern about losing parts either, which was a worry about other non-slide trays I considered. I was concerned they might be difficult to grip as there was no true handle, but they say the grip is not a problem. In fact, these went over so well that I plan to get them another set for Christmas, in a different color!

Better than expected

I bought two of these as something for my kids to use in the car on trips so they can have a flat surface to play/eat on. These trays are way way more sturdy and "Heavy" than I thought they would be. I am very very happy with them and they are more than perfect for I what I wanted with them. I love the non-slip surface and the size is just right to fit in laps.

This tray is a great choice when things slipping is an issue. It will carry glasses, but it's not super thick plastic, so I wouldn't recommend carrying a very heavy ceramic bowl on it, but it will easily carry one person's meal, and a glass, or a bunch of full glasses. It's also great for tablet viewing when reclining. I have recommended this tray to people recovering from surgery, (or people using a walker, or a cane), so they can carry their own meals from the kitchen to the table.

I love these things. I read all the reviews about they twisted, were unstable and all that. Look, these are nice non slip trays, about as rigid as you should need for just about any intended purpose. These trays are stable, have side impressions for handles and a good grip surface. Worth every dine, ya they are kind of expensive but they work and should last a long time. Not sure what else you could want. We bought 2 more of another color. Just get them you'll love them.

Great cat feeding tray!

I bought this as a tray for my messy cat's feeding and water bowl. He is a rather messy eater and he likes to play in his water bowl, naughty boy! Super easy clean up. This tray worked great for containing his messes and the grippers don't allow him to scoot his water bowl all over the place. Also it's large enough for 2 bowls, a wet food plate, and treats with room left to make messes. lol Love it!

Works just as advertised

We use these trays for eating in front of the TV. The plates and dishes do not slip, and the tray is sturdy enough to hold quite a bit without noticeable bending, although it is somewhat flexible. We are very pleased with these trays and recommend them for similar uses. The little buttons that keep everything from slipping extend through the entire tray surface, so they do not rub off. And they are large enough to hold a typical meal: plate, salad plate, glass, cup, flatware and napkin.
