Not truly a wine glass. Grape juice maybe as it's just a little larger than a shot glass, but in no way the same as even a red wine glass. Still, I gave it 4 stars because it's a great little gag gift for the money. See photo for a size comparison of a typical red and white wine glass. Note that I tried to minimize perspective, but it really is a small glass, not pushed back to look smaller. Oh and the writing on the glass is very clear and strong, which the photo doesn't really show well. Note that no alcohol was wasted in this comparison. :)

Just don't put them in the dishwasher. The wording will wash off. Had to replace my original set.

These are really nice glasses that are always enjoyed by guests. Pessimistic reviewers seem to think they are small, too small to be a wine glass. It's just not true. All of my normal wine glasses are 9-10 oz and these are 9 oz. A standard bar/restaurant pour is 6 oz which gets it 2/3 full (or 1/3 empty, depending on your point of view). I agree that it might "seem" small but I think that's because it has no stem. Wine glasses do seem to be getting larger these days but the 9 oz glass is still the standard.
