Clogged sinks, tubs and toilets don't stand a chance! Fantastic product.

BAAM!

This thing makes you feel like Emeril Lagasse for poop: BAAM!

I had a sink that wouldn't drain at all because the person in the bathroom before us must have been a werewolf and would shave their centimeter-think beard hair; however, I put the handy attachment for the sink, pumped it up, and BAAM! Clear sink.

I've had a few people borrow this thing too and use it for toilets, sinks and a bathtub, and they all reported the same results of BAAM! drains cleaned!

I swear I don't work for them (which is exactly what somebody who worked for them would say), but I'm just very oddly enthusiastic about this product.

FYI, it's kind of a hair-trigger; meaning, you can't touch the trigger at all unless you want it to prematurely BAAM!

BOOM!

Boom! Indeed.

I have a rather custom shaped sink and vent hole. I tried to plug the irregular shaped vent hole, but missed a bit. Essentially sending what looked and smelled like poop flying all over my bathroom.

I believe i was sent a defective one. When i pump it, air just comes out the end (before the trigger is depressed). Very disappointing, as i have a time sensitive issue here. I guess i'm off to Lowe's to find something that actually works. A little quality control would be nice. How hard can it be to test something like this, to make sure it holds air, before shipping it out to customers?

A Gamechanger
by Cindy (5 out of 5 stars)

As a landlord and owner of a 117 year old house, I've had to deal with more than my share of clogged drains. I was really skeptical but figured I'd try it since I was sick of using chemicals, ineffectual snakes, home remedies that did little to help or, even worse, calling the plumber ($$$!) Really glad I took the risk and bought it! So far this has unclogged two different bathtubs that were not draining at all, plus it unclogged a backed-up toilet. (Note: one of the tubs was VERY clogged and I had to use the BAAM about 10 times before the drain finally cleared. Blasted it a couple more times for good measure and it hasn't clogged again since.) This is a real gamechanger and I wish I'd bought one sooner--it would have saved me a lot of time and money.

UPDATE: I've had this over a year now and it's still working great. I can't recommend this enough!

Great product!

I would give this 5 stars except the attachments need to be better suited to drains. I had a major clog that wouldn't budge with acid or a snake and I used this device. First, let me say it doesn't look like much when you "dry fire" it. It makes a thumping sound and you think "meh". That said I pulled my air trap and filled my pipe (runs vertically) with water up to the rim and used the BAAM. The whole house shook like artillery had hit near us!!! Then fog came up from the now empty pipe where my clog was. It hit that thing so hard my pipe had to have a smoke! It worked GREAT!!! I honestly thought maybe I blew my plumbing apart, but after looking it was all fine. The only thing that got damaged was that nasty clog. I have tried to use the BAAM with a normal sink drain without pulling the trap since this incident and the attachments are hard to position, but it still worked. If they would include a flat adapter without the rubber insert to go in the pipe this would be an absolute 5 of 5 product. As it sits I give it a 4.9.

HOLY CRAP!

Wowwwwww. OK, I have never had a product that worked so well and does exactly what it claims to do. My bathroom sink has been clogged for a week or so. My husband took it apart and cleaned out what he could but it was STILL plugged. I was literally about to call a plumber when I discovered this on Amazon. This thing is freaking amazing! I put on one of the attachments, pumped the handle a few times, and BAM! That air shot whatever crap was in my sink to the land of the unknown. It did take a couple of "shots" of air, but I couldn't be happier with the end results. It was so satisfying I even called my neighbor to see if they had any sinks that needed a little BAM! Totally recommend this product!

It was a bit confusing at first with poor instructions on how exactly to prime the pump
by Celestia (1 out of 5 stars)

I was really excited for this to work for the toilet but it just has not worked for clogs. I was not able to test it during the refund window as we did not have any problems until recently to try it out or I would have returned it. It was a bit confusing at first with poor instructions on how exactly to prime the pump. If you slowly pump it, it will not accumulate air. You have to quickly in succession pump it and you will then begin to feel resistance as the pressure builds up then you can pull the trigger and it will shoot the air out. I just think the blast is not enough to loosen clogs in the toilet. The interchangeable rubber tips are difficult to get on and off the end, and then you have to find a place to store them not a great design idea. Side note they should create a stand for it since it will not stand up on its own like a plunger.

Fantastic, but (of course) won't last as long as a professional one
by ToughCustomer (4 out of 5 stars)

This is an updated review. I just bought my second of this item because the first did not last long. BUT, while it worked for about a year, it was excellent. The original post is still valid: I have a very annoying shower drain that seems to back up every other shower taken. The drain turns a sharp angle and is very difficult to clear in other ways and not even extra strength chemicals have done a good job on it (not to mention how much I detest using them for the environment and what they can do to the pipes.) I used this ONCE and the drain was clear. And I can't begin to say how easy it was to use. I had a friend who had a professional version of this that honestly didn't work as well. In addition, for those who are afraid it will blow a hole in the pipes. It honestly doesn't blow that hard. I set it off by accident while pumping it up the first time, and was no big deal.

Very Effective

I'm very impressed by this product. My bathtub had a nice clog in it, and I used Draino once before, but I don't want to use too many chemicals to keep clearing the drain, as that seems corrosive to me. I tried a snake, but that didn't seem to do much. Maybe I was using it wrong, but I'm not sure. So, I searched for other methods and came across this beauty. It was so simple, I was mad at myself for not finding it earlier. Removing the drain cap on the tub, at least in my case, was very simple. There was just a little screw under the cap that had to be loosened. Cover up the overflow cover with a wet rag. Then, you put the correct cap on the drain blaster, pump ten times, and pull the trigger. I actually did this 3 times, even though one may have sufficed. My drain was immediately cleaned out! I screwed the drain cap back on and was good to go. There are other attachments for different drains or toilets. I assume this will work well in those cases as well, although I haven't had any issues with my sinks or toilets.

The only negative I can see on this is the quality of construction. Other reviewers have commented on how it didn't last long or broke for them. That is a definite concern, as this is pricey (but pretty reasonable if it lasts awhile). Mine had no issues after one use (or three, I guess, depending on how that counts), It does appear that this thing could break down pretty quickly.I'm hoping that mine will last, but I would have paid more for a more robust blaster.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this. They recommend blasting the shower drain every three months, and I will try to keep that schedule. Hopefully this thing lasts for a few years. If it breaks, I will be sure to update this review.

I'm so happy! You just have to make sure you get ...

I seriously can't believe this thing worked. I've had a backed up bathroom sink that I've tried to plunge, use those plastic things that you stick down the hole, and many snakes and nothing worked. I was about to call a plumber, but checked Amazon and saw this thing. I thought why not try one more thing before I pay for a plumber. Turns out after a few tries and some splashing back at me, it actually worked. I'm so happy! You just have to make sure you get a good seal and pump it up really good. Highly recommended!
