The battery was made 4 years ago, so not sure how much life I will actually get out of it. Would be better if it was more recently made.

Back Up Batteries Necessary

Not too bad of a price for this battery. These batteries usually last me awhile on a full charge but it's necessary to have multiple in case one dies on you. Since it is a GoPro battery it's pretty small and won't take up much space. No problems with shipping and came pretty quick. I would recommend buying a spare battery regardless of if you're a seasonal GoPro user or a weekly user. You never know what could happen and having a GoPro die on you in the middle of the fun suck, trust me it has happened to me before.

Great Battery!

Great battery's, very useful if you are using your cameras for a long time. Each battery holds 2 hours to 2.5 hours. These are the actual gopro brand battery's and are very trust worthy. These are great battery's, i had my last battery for 3 years and it is still working. The only reason i bought more because i use my cameras the whole day and one battery doesn't have enough juice to keep your gopro on and recording all day. Great battery's and i really recommend this product if you constantly use a gopro.

i ordered a 3 pack of the aftermarket batteries and after about a year i could no longer close the battery cover. i ordered 1 of these, probably for similar price to the three pack, and so far so good, no issue with it looking like it is going to explode. that's $ well spent in my book.

Buyer beware !

Buyer beware - expiration date on these batteries expired a year ago. Just how good they are I've yet to determine. Had I known they expired one year ago I would not have purchased them. Think I've been taken to the cleaners

Update: 08/03/15 - batteries don't hold a charge, they're flat. I have been taken to the cleaners - find another dealer.

Excellent Name Brand GoPro Battery. I was expecting to get some knock off brand battery for this price and I was pleasantly surprised when the package showed up. I took this battery down to Mexico on my family vacation and it help a charge with no issues. After receiving this battery and using my GoPro for a lot of different things I am actually questioning if I got a faulty battery from the start.

I purchased this item for a friend. She resently told me that this battery swelled after a FEW days of used and was NOT longer operational. The same occured to her with others that she purchased. So, based on that my review is not good. Be aware. Sadly it's too late for me to return it since I cannot all the paper work . But it might help somebody.

Are they really genuine?

I bought a few of these. They're good, but I'm skeptical whether they're really genuine. It doesn't seem the charge holds as long as the one that came with my camera. Also, two of them don't fit quite right in my external, 2-bat charger. Still though, it lasts MUCH longer than Wasabi ones I bought awhile back

Battery Arrived Defective

The battery contacts were covered with white dust, and wouldn't charge inside the GoPro or provide any power to the GoPro. I clearly got a battery that had been sitting on a shelf for years.
