Terrible watch and a massive waste of money

$20 watch with a $100 price tag. Watch arrived on June 9th (5 weeks ago), after wearing it about 5 times, the band is already fraying and has white thread popping out of the band. Watch hand / numbers are silver, when advertised as black. The black finish on the watch and the band buckle is also really low quality, at best it will last a month before you get chips or scratches in the finish, for me it took two days from resting it on a computer desk. Then comes the worst part of it, it is now losing around 7 minutes every day... For the price point I didn't expect much, it looks nice out of the box, but the build quality is up there with the worst watch I've ever owned. It is completely useless as a timepiece, and is starting to look like a pretty ragged accessory. You're better off buying from a reputable brand because these are not built to last.

Glass defective; pain in the ass to deal with company.

The glass cracked about a month in, without me doing anything physical in the watch (I happened to notice it after getting out of a car ride).

Edit:

I lowered the rating even more bc the crack was from the inside of the watch due to a manufacturing defect, yet when I contacted them to fix it they said "we don't fix glass, it's not covered." After quoting their own warranty to them and pointing out manufacturing defects are covered, they said they'd send me a new glass free and I should go fix it myself, absorbing the cost of changing the glass and time/hassle spent getting it done. After more arguing, they agreed to cover the cost of changing the glass, but I'm still left with the responsibility of getting their own manufacturing defect fixed.

IT IS NOT OK TO PUT YOUR COSTOMERS THROUGH THIS!!

Unless you want a cheap-looking, cheaply made, ridiculously overpriced, plastic and cheap Chinese steel-made watch. When putting the watch down, it makes that high, hollow sound that everyone on earth associates with a low-quality product. The only thing premium about this watch is the packaging. DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH!!!! I bought the Cocotina Men's Fashion Leather Band Wrist Watch Quartz Watch (Brown), part number WT0085c, at the same time I bought this MVMT watch because I had a suspicion and it turns out it's the exact same watch. Literally the only difference is the packaging and the letters MVMT stamped onto the watchface of the $95.00 version. This is a $7.95 watch that MVMT is selling for $95. I received this piece of junk around 1:30 pm on October 28, 2016 and immediately started a return for a refund after unboxing and trying it on. Shame on you, MVMT. DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH!!

I've owned this watch for a year and a half, and it's already been replaced once because it stopped keeping time. It's a shame, because I've received more compliments on its appearance than all the other watches I've ever owned combined. Unfortunately, the replacement has also stopped working and I don't care how pretty a watch is if it doesn't keep time.

It's certainly a nice looking watch. Everyone says the size of the face is nice, I'm a big guy so I would prefer it slightly larger. Maybe it is because I am used to watches from Nordstroms in the $300-$400 range but this watch is much lighter than I would have imagined. Can be a good or bad thing depending on what your looking for. But for me, in terms of watches, I usually think weight is synonymous with quality. The watch being manufactured in China and feeling light makes me think "cheap."

I would prefer if it was slightly larger and weighed a bit more. I do not think it will be as durable as my other watches and will certainly look nice as a watch for a specific outfit. Not sure if it meets my standards as an everyday watch.

Like I said, its a nice looking watch. For $100 its an okay deal. Not a great deal. Should be more around $60-$70.

EDIT: Threading is starting to come undone slightly (I cut off the loose threading and it does not look as bad). I'm not entirely surprised as I've worn it almost everyday and have taken it in a pool on multiple occasions.

EDIT2: MVMT reached out and provided me with another strap. Great move on their part. Thanks.

This thing looks so good. Super soft leather and a nice black face. But the problem is quality, but the watch doesn't feel too cheap to me as other people have said. But The problem is with the movement the second hand moves around a lot and the minute hand rock back-and-forth, depending on how your wrist moves. I don't think I would buy another watch from mvmt again. They look great but for the same price you can get a solid Nixon. Also the minuet hand is dirty on my watch. Problems with quality control. But it looks nice. Mine also seams to always be off a few minuets, I'm adjusting it is very few weeks.

The back of this watch came off in a month and we can't get it back on. It's a beautiful watch, but obviously not very durable. What a waste of money.

This is a really great watch for the price. As some reviews stated, it's extremely lightweight- for my husband personally that was what he was looking for. He doesn't wear a watch every day and was pleased that it didn't feel heavy on his wrist. The only down side is the light colored band stains easily with water spots etc... I was hoping to find one with a leather band but liked the look of this so much I ordered anyway. Replacement bands are available on MVMT website.

I read the comments about it being light and didn't think it would bother me... it does. It feels soooo cheap and empty. I was sadly disappointed with the MVMT, not sure what the hype was all about. Don't bother buying this watch.

sleek, stylish, affordable. MVMT is a great way to keep your wrist in style but your wallet fat. its not too heavy on your wrist and not overbearing when you're wearing it.
