So fast they whistle
by B. Jennings (5 out of 5 stars)

Has provided hours of play so far. My boys who are usually hard on toys, have not managed to break this yet. The string provides the cocking action for launching the bullet.

This uses the larger style bullets and will launch them well into the neighbor's yard. They whistle or "sing" as they fly. Think bomb dropping in the cartoons.

Good and sturdy, this should outlast the abuse of the boys for years to come.

Thought she would enjoy practicing bow activity in back yard

Ordered this for grand daughter who likes to be with her dad and his activities. Just turned three. She likes to go fishing, scouting elk and camping. Even likes to bugle in elk. Thought she would enjoy practicing bow activity in back yard. Dad has a foam deer that he uses to test his bow, etc. Didn't really spend a lot of time on the dimensions or details. It is a big as she is and the paperwork said 8+.. My fault but with close supervision I still think she will enjoy it. Dad loved it! ha

Fun for all ages!

Purchased this for my 4 year old nephew. He loved it! Keep in mind that this bow works by pulling back a string which in turn moves the bow's upper and lower limbs. The dart firing pressure is provided by the release of these limbs. If the child/person is unable to fully pull back the string, the darts will not fly very far. My nephew had trouble at first, but is now getting the hang of it. It was a hit at his b-day party and all the children wanted a turn firing the darts. The whistling darts just add a little something extra. Great product.

Tip: If you are purchasing this for a child's birthday party, skip the frustration free packaging and get the retail packaging. While very practical, the frustration free packaging does not provide a great first impression when un-wrapped. The items are tied to basic cardboard sheets and did not include any instructions.

Great distance, good accuracy
by MSA (4 out of 5 stars)

Awesome little toy for my 5 year old.

These darts really fly!

It was a little difficult for him to pull the string all the way back and aim it (It is a little on the bulky and heavy side if you have a smaller child).

This thing is about 1/2 his size.

It is fairly accurate as well, with a tremendous amount of punch to it.

The other nice thing is that the darts are bright in color, which make it easier to see against the ground (especially on grass).

It came in very easy to open "frustration free" packaging.

It came with 10 darts total.

You can put 5 at a time in the chambers and fire them all one after another.

A lot of fun to be had here

Watch your eyes!

Super cool Nerf gun
by B Shimp (5 out of 5 stars)

This was a present for my 7 year old. The bow is huge, but not too big of heavy for him. This thing is pretty awesome. You shoot the bullets by pulling back the string, just like a real bow. 5 Mega Darts can be loaded in the front, and they fire one at a time. We have had no problems with jamming, and reloading is quick. This is my new favorite Nerf gun (even if it is not technically a gun).

This comes with 5 bullets, but it's always a good idea to buy more.

This thing is amazing. It's my go to "gun" for Nerf battles

This thing is amazing. It's my go to "gun" for Nerf battles. It's easy to load, easy to shoot and really fun to use. My son has a lot LOT of Nerf toys. When we pick our arsenal and load up and he sees that I have the Thunder Bow, his comment is "AWE... COME ON!". It's fast, it's powerful and very accurate. As far as power, I would have to say out of the 25+ guns he has, this probably comes in second. First would be the Rivel guns that shoot the little balls. We are Nerf crazy! 5 STARS!!!

Doesn't look as nice, but for what I saved

This is the same Bow Blaster seen in the store for $40! Only problem is that it comes in a plain cardboard box. Doesn't look as nice, but for what I saved, it will be just great! Kids always rip open the box and throw away anyhow! I didn't think there were any instructions to put it together until I read other comments on this site. Yes, they are folded up very small and tucked in with the darts.

great toy.

amazing! I have as much fun with as the grandkids. It's holding up well to there rough housing also. I don't know what causes the missile to fire when you release the string but it works every time. Please tell the kids not to point these things at anyone because it does sting at close range. Go ahead and get the kids one. You know you want to and they will have much fun with it.

Best boy's toy of the year? Who cares, it'll get 'em outside of the house.
by Mark Masaki,Top Contributor: Archery (5 out of 5 stars)

If you are afraid of oversized monstrous dart blasters designed as a bow, yet capable of firing 5 consecutive shots, be very afraid. Otherwise but this probable best boy's toy of the year. It fires it's large red Mega darts at an average speed of 78 FPS (Feet Per Second) according to my ProChrono Digital chronograph. I noticed it gets weaker as it reaches it's fifth dart (around 65 FPS) probably because of the smart AR (Air Restrictor) that fires the darts in order of top to bottom. Smaller kids may have a hard time pulling and releasing the string safely without it grazing their arm, as it should hurt a bit if it does but it should not be a problem for the average 11 year old to pull the string back until it shows a green display in the window at the back of the blaster. The darts scream as they fly, so that should add to the experience as well, until you get shot by one.

Great Fun, Full Force
by Auswell (5 out of 5 stars)
December 27, 2014

I got this for my son and he loves it, it was very easy to assemble and all 5 darts hold securely in the slots, for those running moments as you battle each other they will not fall out. You don't have to let go of the string after pulling back to release the bullet, just ease it back in and they still release one by one. Be warned though, they can come out fairly hard and at close range may hurt the littler ones if hit in a sensitive area on accident.
