Nice Addition, read on for my set up
by AlmostEverything84 (4 out of 5 stars)

Likes:
-Easy install
-Extra Filters
-Nice Vit C taste/smell
-No Chlorine smell at all
-Small and fits with existing set ups

Dislikes:
-Plastic everything :(
-doesn't screw all the way, at least with my shower head so it leaks a bit
-Shipping takes 6-8 weeks (that's what it took for mine)

Overall: First check out the pics I posted in the customer images. My set up might be different from others. I already had the Culigan filter so I added this in. I did this for a couple reasons. These carbon filters will not rid the chlorine. You can google it for further explanations but there are different types. I really wanted the carbon to just catch any sediment etc... A couple things to note:
-This will lower your shower head . My head now hits into mine
-My water Pressure did not change at all, so that was good
-It is completely made of plastic. Like most stuff, that's the way it is..
-My shower head wont screw on tight enough to stop a tiny leak. Even with all the plumbers tape... It's not bad but its there.

Overall, I can tell difference right away and im hoping it holds up. Ill report back.

Stopped working completely after a week
by Amazon Customer (1 out of 5 stars)

Working amazing for a week then chlorine smell returned. Changed the filter even though it had only been a week and that didn't work either. By then I had already ordered a second one. Same issue- worked awesome for a week or so and then nothing, even when a new filter was put in. Would love to keep it I could figure out how to get them both working again!

Tested and it's effective for removing chloramine and chlorine
by as (5 out of 5 stars)

I have confirmed through a total chlorine test that this product DOES remove all chlorine and chloramine from my shower. I spoke with my local water provider and was informed that our water contained both free chlorine and chloramine. Prior to installing the filter, I tested the water for total chlorine, and got a level of 1-2pp. That is about the level that we keep in our salt water chlorinated pool, which means that basically my family was bathing in pool water chlorination levels. After installing the filter, the level is zero, not detectable. FYI - total chlorine testing reveals the combined level of free chlorine and chloramine. A regular chlorine test will only reveal free chlorine levels. While free chlorine levels are regulated by the federal government, the online research I did showed that no such restrictions are in place to regulate chloramine. Chloramine is odorless, so if you want to know how much is in your water be sure to test for Total Chlorine. Additionally, for the bath tub you can dissolve one 500mg Vitamin C tablet (purchased by vitamins) to neutralize the bath water. I use the tablets when bathing my children.

Love it!

**They changed the photos. What you see as of today (5/23/15) isn't what was there when I ordered, nor is it what I got.**

I have had the Culligan carbon filter on my shower for years. Last week, the housing snapped off. I was about to order another when I saw the Vitamin C filter.

The complaints about the plastic housing I don't feel are warranted. The quality of the plastic seems good, and at no point did I worry about breaking. While after a couple days of 3 people showering it's evident that a cartridge won't last anything like a month, at $7 a refill (pack of 5) it's still totally worth it.

The carbon filter never really got rid of the chlorine smell. I doubt it's pore size was a good match for chloramine that we in SoCal have in our water. My water tests out at over 500ppm using a TDS meter. Horrible! But the Vitamin C in this filter does an admirable job of not only ridding the water of the chlorine and chloramine, but making the water feel softer.

I'm a convert to the Vitamin C filters!

Do not use the orange cartridges!!
by Erin Burke (2 out of 5 stars)
September 23, 2017

Vitamin C degrades quickly in water, turning orange in the process. That's why they always make the cartridges orange. I still use the filter body, but I put in a small amount of fresh vitamin C powder every time before I shower. This is a much better solution considering I already spent $60 on the damn thing. You feel the difference immediately. This method actually works while the cartridges do literally nothing and are probably doing more harm than good.
"Special natural DOLKI ceramic ball makes water molecule smaller and can also energized the water to improve the hydration." This is pure pseudoscience, so beware of the other aspects of this product!

What is even better is that these changes were almost immediate
by insertwittyhandle (5 out of 5 stars)

The *only* chloramine mitigator... worth every penny if your county uses chloramine instead of chlorine. No other external shower filter solutions filter chloramine--and this nasty water was causing my hair to come out in clumps and I was getting rashes. Ever since I've installed this, my hair has stopped falling out in and after the shower (normal breakage still occurs but no handfuls of hair) and my rash--without medicine--is no longer popping up. What is even better is that these changes were almost immediate. I will be purchasing these babies for the rest of my life if need be. A great price for what it does.

That's a no from me.
by Lizbeth2133 (2 out of 5 stars)

I have had this filter properly installed in my shower for a little over 10 months now, using up all cartridges that come in the box, so I'd say its been given a fair amount of time. I honestly haven't noticed a single difference in my shower water, my skin OR my hair. I am still itchy and dry when I step out of the shower and frankly the amount of hair fall while shampooing has increased alarmingly over the last 10 months. Aside from the pleasant almost citrus smell it gives off for the first couple showers when newly installed, nothing changed. I wouldn't recommend anyone spend the high price on this, it just doesn't seem worth it at all.

IT DOESN'T WORK (WE TESTED IT)
by SJD (1 out of 5 stars)
June 30, 2017

This product DOES NOT WORK. The only reason people think it works is because they have not actually tested the water. My husband is a certified water quality analyst, and he just used the test kit. Our tap water has 2.5 mg/L chlorine, and with the filter on the showerhead, after testing about 12 times and turning the filter in different directions, the lowest reading he was able to get was 0.9 mg.L. The rest of the readings varied from 1.3 to 2.0 mg/L. We also tried Sonaki filter, which also does not work. (And I have a feeling they're both the same company anyway.) It's going back in the box. I feel bad for all the people getting ripped off.

MONEY SAVING TIP: let the water warm up using the bathroom sink (not the shower), preserving the vit
by TRK (4 out of 5 stars)
November 21, 2016

Works fine, but you can waste a lot of vitamin c waiting for the shower to warm up before getting in.

Solution -- run your bathroom sink to warm up the water! Once the sink's water is warm, the shower will heat up almost instantly, maximizing the life of the vitamin c cartridge and saving you money on refills.
