This cat carrier is so cute and unique. With the bubble window, it makes me think of a tiny spaceship with a cat at the helm. There's a large mesh area near the bottom of each side that doesn't look like much, but from the inside the cat can get a good view of the world. And it's a backpack too! So cool!

Also, just to let everyone know...when I received it, it appeared to be covered with scratches. I was pissed because for what I paid for it, I expected it to be near perfect. Amazon was about to send a replacement when my son told me it probably had a thin plastic cover like you see on new phones and other new items with screens, and there might be one on the carrier too. Sure enough, there was. Once that came off it was perfect. I love it! Wish it came in other bright colors, like red, orange, turquoise, and purple.

It is the best carrier ever! My cats love it! One doesn't even want to come out because it is so cozy in there, and it's like a space pot! Thank you thank you! Best Christmas gift for my cats ever!

Would work great for a small cat, not so much for a 19lb cat (even though it says up to 20lbs)

A few things to note about this.
1) It is not blue and grey like it appears in these pictures. What I received was black and grey. While I was disappointed since I had wanted blue and grey, the black still looks fine, so not a reason for me to send it back. I have attached a picture so you can see the color.
2) It came with the mesh cover on and the mesh had half come out of its holder. I thought it was torn at first and finally realized that I could take apart the ring that holds the mesh to reinsert it. I might end up super gluing inside there so the mesh doesnt come out as it separates from that ring quite easily.
3) There was no sort of info page or anything that came with it - I suppose attaching the bubble is fairly self explanatory, but as it came with the mesh on, I was a bit hesitant at first to just pull hard to get it off to put the bubble on.
4) I got this one since it said it was for cats up to 20 lbs. I have two cats, one is 12 lbs, the other is a 19 lb Bengal. I had planned on using it for the Bengal, but this is just not going to happen, it is WAY too small for him. I managed to squish him in there for a picture (he's the brown one in my pics), but he could not move at all and was very upset with the lack of room. I will end up using this for the 12 lb cat (the grey one in my pics). They really need to make this bigger if they are going to claim a 20lb cat can go in here. Unless you have a small, very overweight cat it will not. A normal sized cat like our rescue grey domestic (not to mention a larger cat like a Bengal which can easily get to 19-20 lbs) is a tight fit in this. He is comfortable for a trip to the vet but not for a road trip or all day in the car.

With all of that said, I do like the bubble and there is a lot of padding in the carrier so the cat will be comfy. The holes and mesh are plenty, so I am not worried about lack of air or anything. I would rate it okay overall because of the points I made above. It also has a clip inside so you can hook it onto your cats collar. They can still turn around and sit when its clipped but you don't have to worry about them leaping out the moment you open the bubble. This has such potential to be great, they just failed in the execution for the claim of holding a 20lb cat. If they adjusted the cat size limits to honestly reflect the size of cat that can fit, then this would be much better.

Great quality, my cats LOVE it! I have two cats, one large Ragdoll cat who fits in fine in this case, plus a small bengal cross who has room to move. I also have a small teacup poodle that fits comfortably, although this carrier has been claimed by my Ragdoll cat who snuggled straight in, and positioned himself to enjoy the bubble view of the world instantly. The bag is really good quality, feels strong and well made, and despite other reviews about trouble removing the mesh circle to screw on the bubble I found this really simple. Twist the ring to the left (lefty Lucy, righty Tighty), put the bubble on and screw the ring back on turning to the right (clockwise). Took 3 seconds and felt snug and secure. There was a nice little velvet pouch included to store the spare mesh circle / plastic bubble, as well as a spare mat cover for inside (that you can zip off to wash, and replace with the spare) - a very nice bonus. Lots of great pockets to store treats, water bottles, keys, phone etc, and a connector leash inside for clipping onto the collar should you need to. My other cat loves it too, although the Ragdoll fits in snuggly so no room for two at once. If you have two smaller cats though, you could definitely fit two. I've bought a second U-pet in the backpack style, so I can carry one on my back and one like a messenger bag. Tested this one (messenger style bag) today with a trip to the vet - Soooooo many compliments and everyone wanted to know where to get one. My cat felt so safe he stayed with his face peering through the bubble window even when a big German Shepard dog barked at him in the vet waiting room - obviously felt secure and at ease. Can't recommend highly enough. Makes me want to start taking my cats for walks as normally they aren't so keen on going in their carrier, but I can't keep them out of this one. They love it, they must feel snug and safe in there, while still satisfying their curiosity to be able to view the world around them. Attaching a photo of my Ragdoll taken minutes after putting him in it for the first time.... As you can see, he was straight in and peering out the view hole bubble. Air vents at rear also pictured, plus my cat soaking up the sun blissfully happy in his snug carrier with spaceship-style bubble window. Money well spent!

Perfect for a cat who wants to see the world from his safe place

This. Is. Awesome. We have an indoor cat who is so curious about going outside, but is a little on the scared side (bolts back inside when a stiff breeze is a little too stiff). That being said, we got this and he REALLY likes it. So far, my husband has only worn it around our apartment building so that Ted can get used to it, but as soon as we take him out, he's pawing to get back in. Ted's a pretty long cat and weighs about 8 lbs, but this fits him comfortably. He could probably lay down if he really put his mind to it (he does squash himself into some tiny boxes), but he's too busy looking out his astronaut window!

We go motorcycling with UPET

This bag is the most portable and comfortable for both my dog, Santi, and I. We work together as dog trainers, motorcycle instructors and are generally known as all around adventurists who travel by boats, trains, flying and driving, to name a few.
Santi has logged nearly 25,000 miles for last year, 2015. We have extencive experience with a multitude of pet carriers. That being said....
UPET has made one of the most unique, innovativly designed carriers with durable and secure zippers, screens, grommets through a canvas-type material. The outer shell is a ply able hard plastic which withstands nearly all conditions. The viewing circle has 3 options, the (space)bubble, a mesh screen, or open. We use them all!

The Bubble is a ridgget clear plastic and screws into place with a molded outer ring.

The Screen is attached in this same way, only that the mesh is flush to the backpack and more low key.

Open, of course is lack of any barrier, which allows Santi to move freely in and out of the carrier at will.

We get stopped everywhere to talk about this bag! Everyone loves it, including us.
It was easy to tell them how to find one on Amazon by searching 'Cat Carrier' even though it works absolutely perfect for all 13 lbs of this dog! Santi

I got the canvas satchel version and its AMAZING. I own the backpack too but didn't like not being able to see him and maybe jostling him around. The satchel is perfect. The thick straps sold me since normal straps could break- theae are part of the bag. Its plenty big for an adult cat. My cat loves the bubble. There's tons of pockets. Best of all it doesnt look like a pet carrier. It is heavy canvas and looks super nice but is also breathable. I was pleasently surprised! This is a great design!

Really nice bag but needs improvements

I got the canvas messenger bag with the flag. Looks really nice. I love the strap as I can shorten it to the max & move about more easily as I hate bags with long straps swinging about inconveniently (too bad it doesn't come with hand straps). Plenty of ventilation holes & there's even an extra zipped cover provided for the bottom pad. While the width of the bag is ok, the length is too short for my big boned 12lb boy. I put my 10lb girl in there instead & she fits just nice although I wish it to be taller as the top mesh flap is touching her head. The top mesh, which is the same mesh used for the panel alternative to the bubble, is quite thin. Zipping around the top flap is quite a hassle esp if you have a resistant kitty, so I'll probably be using the handy side entrance instead. Note that the bag will not stand properly if any one of the sides is unzipped.

There're no studs/rubber pads at the base of the bag to keep it from getting dirty/wet easily. Being a fabric bag that'll go on contaminated surfaces at vet clinics, I'd prefer to have protection to some extent.

And now to the main feature: the Bubble. I'm disappointed that the circle&ring that hold the bubble are made of soft plastic. When I screwed the ring to the tightest, it actually loosened all over again! And as tight as it can go, Im still able to pry it open from the outer rim if I try hard enough. That's a bummer. Having said that, a cat won't know how to do all that from the inside so it should still be ok once it's screwed reasonably well enough and it's very important not to screw it crooked or else a knock would most likely pop it loose. Whatever it is, I'd be careful at all times not to bump the bubble around and will be packing the mesh screen in the front compartment just in case.

Update:

I've used this bag many times now and it's become the go-to bag when I bring either one of my girls to the vet. I'm generally careful not to bump the bubble into doors etc. So far it's been holding up well. I do notice my cats are less stressed out in the car due to the viewing window. My cats all hate going out and would protest and cry non-stop in other carriers. But this bag calms them, esp my black cat. Once we're out the door she'll stop crying and her curiosity takes over and will start looking at the happenings around her through the window in a calm way and she stays chill throughout the whole vet visit and back. My white cat who is always super-duper stressed when we go out, is slightly less nervous too in this bag. She used to cry and would have drooled all over herself by the time we made our way home in other carriers, be it covered/not covered, but in this bag during the one time I used this on her, no drooling. So, I'm pretty pleased with this bag. My only complaint is that the zips around the thin top flap are difficult to manage.

This is ridiculous but so much fun. Your cat will look like an astronaut ready to blast off into space! Both of my cats fit in it with no problem. One loves it and the other doesn't.
