Seems like a nicely made bag
by David Berman (4 out of 5 stars)
July 19, 2017

Just my first impressions. Seems like a nicely made bag. The solar panels and battery seem simple and effective. The 2L water bladder looks like it won't last because the tubing attachment to the water bladder is cheap plastic threading and you have to tighten it to nearly the point of stripping the threading to make it water tight so it doesn't leak all over the inside of the bag. Also, all 4 tiny carabiners that were included to attach the solar panel to the bag were broken without spring to the hinge mechanism on arrival. The waist tightening straps don't stay tight when you adjust them and the cheap plastic whistle on the upper buckle simply does nothing except waste your breath. Will keep for a bit and wear it around, see if I can make it work.

Just wasn't what I thought

It's an upright duffle bag, with a detachable support frame, and shoulder straps, note side straps are attached to the frame verses back, so while removable, couldn't figure out why except for cleaning it... Again I'm sure there is a good application for this type of pack, just wasn't what I needed...

This bag is an awesome grouping of components. The bag itself is very comfortable and just the right size. The addition of the water bag, the solar panels and the battery make this absolutley unbeatable! I am using it as a 72 hour kit (bug out bag) and it is perfect.

Great product. The included power pack, and solar panels make quick work of recharging my phone. The pack its self is made of high quality material and has plenty of space to carry all my gear.

the pack is great for small stuff- its barely enough for a day hike, no room for overnight supples

this "backack" is very small....its OK for day use, but if your intending on sleeping bag, tent, sleeping pad, cookwear and emergancy items.......youg going to need to attach them some how......unless is Summer time and temps are warm.......the pack is great for small stuff.......I wish they made a larger pack.........this is good for students and people carrying a few things that are not too bulky or heavy......it does have lots of D-rings and places to hang items........but its not made for overnighters that are in cold temps where you would need more gear........and its not made for multi-day adventures where your sleeping a few nights in the wild....it would need modifications for that......Im likely going to buy some velcro and take the parts I need and put them on a bigger pack that can handle 5000 cubic inches.....this is a day use type pack, that can handle some light rock climbing OK.....the pack is made relatively well from what I can tell.......but Im not sure it can handle hanging bags, tents pads , and a lot of items that wont fit inside.....it does not have external water bottle holders.....the side pockets may are way to small even for...small water bottles.....but youll need to take the pack off if you want to drink...and open up main compartment, which is only place big enough for water bottles......if you want hydration, you may need to make something from something else, and use superglue or velcro or whatever......it looks like a "backpack" but as it is, I will need to make major modifications for any hikes that are more than 12 hours....

I wish that bag would be easier to stuff stud into it. Maybe after a few more months of use it would be easier but " I ant got time for that". The Solor charging, can't say. I have not but to use yet.

Solar chargin works GREAT, best suspension system I've ever seen.
by TyCo (5 out of 5 stars)

The video review is little long, sorry about that. Just a lot to go over. Here's the review in a nutshell:

Solar charger:

Impressive. It will charge the included 10,00mAh battery under full sun at 6.17W (4.71V @ 1.31A), tested using a USB volt meter. Charges your phone just as fast. I didn't record the results but it charged my Note 4 at around .98A, about 17% slower than a 2A wall charger - not too shabby. This is while the phone was on, slightly less effective than a wall charger when the phone is off as the phone pulls the most power in the off state and the solar charger can only provide so much juice.
10,00 mAh battery:

Charged another 10,000 mAh battery at 8.21W (5.20V @ 1.58A). This is on par with any 2A wall charger out there. Will no doubt charge any 5V device just as fast as the wall wort.

Backpack:

Is a nice 42L bag. May be just a bit overrated in it's capacity, but I have no way to confirm this. Has two mesh watter bottle holders (one per side), two zippered side compartments (sm-med size), one front zippered compartment (will hold the battery, another battery, and cables etc. Modest space but it works), top flap has two zippered compartments (one accessible from the bottom/inside, the other from the top/outside), a rain-fly compartment on the very bottom and the main compartment. The main space has a divider at the bottom (i.e. split the space into 80/20% top/bottom or open it to one large space) There's an opening at the bottom and one at the top. For this you'll really need to see the review to get a feel for what I'm talking about.

The best part is the suspension system of the pack. It's AWESOME!!! full airflow to your back and it has spring-leaf like rods running up the back that really do a good job of supporting the pack. Only have weight baring on your shoulders and hips. It's very cool. NOTE: you'll probably get best results if you're 5'10" or shorter. I can see the system being a little short for good use if you're taller.

All in all, the materials feel nice, well stitched, solid seems and piping. It's my new commuter bag and I love it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a comfy, cool, pack that also boast an integrated charging solution. It's about as cool as they come.

I was provided a sample for review. Eccen always delivers though, I'm a huge fan and I'm psyched they send me stuff to review.
