but was pretty let down
by Alex (2 out of 5 stars)

I was really looking forward to this one, but was pretty let down. Very low on the spice scale, seems lower than cholula. I'm not a person who seeks out the hottest sauces ever, but I do expect it to have some kick when it has 4/5 chillis on the cover and is marketed as hot sauce.

The taste wasn't that great either.. Tasted like blueberry vinaigrette with some bitterness to it. Very watery.

Maybe they would do better if they boiled off half the water in the bottle?

Yes this is HOTTT!!!

I saw all these reviews saying this sauce wasnt even hot but sweet, so I go in with full confidence and taste a spoonful straight. Whoever says this isnt hot is either a liar or a psychopath. This sauce straight tastes like lava and regret, it scared me so bad I just put it in the back of the fridge and tried to forget about it. Fast forward a week and I get a craving for something spicy, my bbq sauce wasnt doing it for me so i decided to get brave and try some of this sauce mixed with the bbq. Complete difference! Nice spiciness, fruity flavor and a bit of a bite but nowhere near unbearable. So I give this sauce 5 stars because mixed with something it's actually very good however heed my warning and DO NOT eat this straight from a spoon, your mouth and your sanity will thank you.

Spicy Sauce with Something Extra
by Wilbur Cobb (4 out of 5 stars)

I picked up this sauce after watching the "Hot Ones" interview show on YouTube. I'm a hot sauce novice, but I thought this was pretty good. A decent kick with just a hint of sweetness. A welcome change of pace from the "red" sauces. I haven't yet used it on a wing, but it added something nice to a chicken salad sandwich. I also ended up putting some drops on my chips. I look forward to picking up other sauces from the show.

Shipping issue but quality sauce
by Joey Pullitzah (3 out of 5 stars)

I bought this from Bravado Spices. So let me break this down in order:

Shipping. I ordered this on Prime on Friday or Saturday. Item was in stock according to Amazon, 12 or 13. It was put on delay. I did not receive this until a week after I ordered it. Normally not a big deal except I pay my Prime membership. This IS NOT ac reflection on Bravado, but I think on Amazon warehouses, since another sauce I bought in the same purchase, entire order was delayed, and then came after the due date, stalled in one stop for two or three days.

The Product: This isn't a bad hot sauce. If those that are familiar, it's about the same hot as "Slap My A** and Call Me Sally". I ordered a Scorpion pepper sauce and that was hotter than this. It definitely is flavorful, it has a good taste of blueberry, not too subtle, not too obvious. It's not a chunky hot sauce, but more of a smooth liquid like a tobasco. It definitely wasn't not overpriced and I think it's worth trying for those like spicy hot sauces that also pack some flavor.

A Tasty Difference
by Amazon Customer (3 out of 5 stars)

I first saw this hot sauce whilst watching First We Feast, and the unique variety of it drew me in. After using it in various dishes, I must say that I am both pleased and let down by this hot sauce.

The flavor is different from most hot sauces you will find, and it is extremely tasty in my opinion. It goes well with most meats, and it compliments the flavor well. The blueberry flavor comes through well, and it honestly compliments the flavors in things, as opposed to being so hot you can't taste anything but the hot sauce. Some have said that the sauce is a bit runny, but I think the consistency is fine how it is.

The main problem with the sauce's runniness lies in the bottle's design. Unlike other hot sauce bottles, there is no plastic cover at the top to regulate the amount of hot sauce that comes out of the bottle; Bravado opts for an open bottle design. This causes the hot sauce to flow out of the bottle with no way to limit the amount of hot sauce you put on/in a dish. You end up wasting a little bit of hot sauce each pour (unless you are super careful), and for roughly $10 a bottle, it really does affect the overall value of this product. In addition to the lack of a cover, the color gets everywhere and stains anything it touches because of the blueberries in the sauce. If it were to have a cap similar to Tapatío or Tabasco, this would easily be a four star review.

The other reason why I feel this is only a 3 star product is because of the heat. It advertises itself as being a "hot" hot sauce. I think the heat is fine how it is, but it is definitely not as hot as it advertises itself to be. You can get more heat from Tabasco. I would not go as far as to say Bravado is lying in its advertisement, as the sauce is relatively hot, but it is somewhat misleading. I expect something to be a little hotter than Tabasco when ghost peppers are advertised with the hot sauce. I'm not too disappointed, however, since most products that have "ghost peppers" in the mix end up being not as hot as expected (but I can imagine that selling something with the full potential of a ghost pepper would be hard considering how hot a ghost pepper is).

It appears that this is not the hottest hot sauce Bravado sells, and I would be interested in trying it to see just how hot Bravado makes their products. Overall, I enjoyed the Ghost Pepper and Blueberry Hot Sauce, but a few small tweaks end up holding this bottle of hot sauce back.

tl;dr

Pros:
-Flavorful
-Decent Heat
-Compliments most dishes

Cons:
-Lack of cover to regulate hot sauce pouring
-Not as hot as advertised
-Somewhat expensive

Don't expect actual Hot Sauce
by FancyPants (2 out of 5 stars)

Wow, this was nothing like I expected, but honestly, I guess I didn't know what to expect....maybe spicy blueberry flavor? No. This has the strongest odor of vinegar of any "hot sauce" I have ever tried. Granted, vinegar is clearly one of the ingredients so of course it would smell of it. Next, I vigorously shook the bottle up to make sure it wasn't just separated, checked the expiration, etc, but yeah still pure vinegar smell, much like that of malt vingear. Note: It is SUPER RUNNY, pours out way to fast! My first thought after tasting it was that I had just dipped my food into a glass of Merlot. It tastes like vinegar wine to me! Now, this probably does wonders to any dish calling for red wine or is amazing with some fish & chips perhaps, but it definitely isn't an all around "hot sauce". I tried it with some homemade green Chile enchiladas and it was NOT A GOOD COMBO lol. Overall, it should probably not be labeled a hot sauce. Packaging was good, no issues there.

Not great, but not terrible either
by Mel (2 out of 5 stars)

It's spicy enough to where you get a little tingle, but you don't burn your tongue off. You can definitely pile it on for extra spice, although the bottle is a bit small. I just got mine in the mail about 3 days ago and I'm already about halfway through; It has a very runny consistency. I was really looking forward to the blueberry flavor, but it was nowhere to be found. Saw it on Hot Ones and decided to get it. Was it a mistake? No, I'd say it wasn't. But, would I buy it again? Probably not. I think Tapatio is on the same heat level and I can get a huge bottle for cheaper.

Hot but enjoyable

The flavor of this sauce is so good. It's slightly sweet with just a hint of blueberries. It does have some heat to it. So people have said that it doesn't probably just didn't put enough on whatever they were eating. The heat definitely there but not to the point you can't eat it. It's an enjoyable heat. We will definitely be getting this again.

mans not hot

not hot at all.

honestly (being not a hot sauce person), it's not terrible, but it's just not hot.

when i bought this hot sauce, i expected it to be actually hot, you know, like a ghost pepper.

but it wasnt.

hot cheetos are legitimately hotter than this, at least to me.

also it seems like there's too much vinegar.

if you're not in it for the heat and legitimately just want to try it or get a good-tasting hot sauce (with at least a little bit of a kick), then i think you should try this.

however, if you're only in it for the heat, don't get this. do your research and get a hotter sauce.

if you're just going to get this for the heat, it's not worth it. it was barely even hot, and i'm not a hot/spicy type of guy. i'm not good with hot/spicy stuff at all.

underwhelming
by Mike B. (3 out of 5 stars)

I've gone through a bottle of The Last Dab and wanted something less intense but not as awful tasting as da bomb, so I ordered this. It is SO watery. It's more like a salad dressing than a sauce, but with no regulator cap to keep it from yeeting out. Even if you soak your food in it, it just isn't that spicy. I honestly get more of a physical reaction from frank's red hot. It did make me sweat and had a bit of a kick in the aftertaste, but barely, and there was no blueberry flavor whatsoever.

I don't know if they just sell the remnants and save the real sauce for the show, but I won't be buying it again. Maybe i'll make a salad with it.
