I don't normally write review but this appliance is so amazing I feel obligated. It's so easy to use, wipes clean, and makes amazing fried foods without the calories of excessive oil. I'm thrilled. It's an appliance that we keep on the counter.

Update - 4 months after purchase:.

I love the appliance but it isn't as durable as it needs to be. The plastic button on the top of handle that allows you to eject the basket is already broken. The warranty states "For all GoWISE USA Air Fryers, the removable basket, tray, and all components are warrantied for 30 days from the day of purchase and DO NOT fall under the 1-year limited warranty of the unit."

Love the concept, perhaps another brand is a better option.

I told my friends and family on fb how much I love this... showed picture of fries etc. yesterday. So far 2 have ordered an more on the way! I am amazed at the way this fries! I got mine yesterday, cleaned it (per instructions). Cleaned my potatoes and straight cut them. Rinsed and dried on a towel on counter. Then tossed in bowl with a Tablespoon of oil. Then I put them in fryer at 400 degrees. Stopped and shook and moved around every 10 minutes. Laid them on tray and lightly coated with cooking spray so salt would stick. They were perfect! No smell or greasy mess to clean! Just let fries cool, wipe out and put away! Magic! I ordered an olive oil mister last night to use with this. 10 stars!

Its a Very good air fryer

Air fryers are pretty much the same as a conventional oven but, with a fan to blow hot air so the food can cook faster. The Go wise has pre-settings but, I always had to add more time every time i made chicken wings because 20 minutes was not enough. If you want your food to evenly cook, you have to turn over the food every 5 to 10 minutes. Just keep adding time and checking your food until its golden brown. Once the food is done, It taste very good. One thing i noticed from other reviews is people saying that the black paint on the cooking tray chips... I have used my air fryer 5 times and its Not true. If you finished cooking, let the air fryer cool down and then add soap and water inside the tray and let it soak up for a while until what ever inside becomes soft. Some people use a brillo pads and thats how you scratch the black surface and chip it. Closing the tray is not hard at all...I don't understand what people are talking about with tray giving them a hard time.. maybe they are doing something wrong. I recommend holding the back of the air fryer with one hand while the other hand pushes the tray inside. Some people just don't have good common sense. The air fryer is light. If you shove the tray while the other hand is not holding the back of the air fryer, of course the whole air fryer will move back and possibly fall if you have it near a edge etc. Use your brains.. You will understand what i mean if you have this air fryer. Its a very good appliance. I would recommend it to another person.

SO MUCH FUN

Having so much fun with this thing. Am pretty much a vegetarian, so have done mostly potatoes (all kinds and cuts). Also makes killer mushrooms. Since most items need to be stirred or turned, I'm surprised that there isn't a "sub-timer" of some sort. I use my regular kitchen timer, or just break up the time and run short batches. The non-stick coating doesn't appear to be heavy duty, so hand washing should extend the life.

Noticed several reviewers having problems handling the pan/basket. I suggest practicing while the unit is cold. Simply slide the clear button FORWARD to remove pan, and then push black button DOWN to remove the basket. Do not push black button unless pan is sitting on a surface. The pan will just drop away from the basket, and you don't want that to happen if it's hot. Also, it is not necessary to completely pull out the pan to stir the ingredients.

The concept is great and I love anything that helps me start a meal and walk away to play with my kids. This is a pretty good size for our family of four. We have no problem making enough food for all of us. I have it sitting next to our 6qt Instant Pot for comparison.

I've made chicken and steak and asparagus as well. So far, the chicken has come out the best. The asparagus was over cooked even with a quick setting and became shriveled so it wasn't very desirable. When I made steak, it was way over cooked and barely edible but has gotten better each time I've tried it. My tip for steak is to significantly cook it less than you think. For example: we found a steak recipe online that suggested around 15 minutes in the air fryer so this is what we did. It was terrible and rubbery. The second time we tried it, we cut the time down to around 12 minutes- still too much. The third time it was set at around 9 minutes and was much better but if you like your steak a little, or a lot pink on the inside, I'd recommend going a minute or two less still. This was a big steak from Sam's that we cut into thirds.

It's pretty easy to use and works great but the buttons do not tell you, on the machine, what they do. If you don't look inside the booklet, you've just gotta touch them and see what they do. I also haven't found an "off" switch. The power button turns it on, it so far, hasn't turned it off. The only thing I've been able to use to stop it is to unplug it or open the tray. Not sure if this is a machine malfunction or a design flaw.

I definitely recommend this as another option in your arsenal to save some time and have well prepared foods. It just takes some playing around with to get it the way you like it.

Doesn't last. No options once basket Teflon coating flakes off.

Loved this air fryer. After only using it a few times, the Teflon-type coating flakes off. I was told that there is no warranty for that part of the fryer, past 30 days. I cannot just replace/buy that part. I must purchase a whole thing. I was advised by health advisers to not continue to use it in that condition of food-basket housing. Very disappointed. I paid over $100 for a disposable product.

Broke after 6 months!!

Don't buy this unit!!!. The baking finish comes off in the first month. MINE broke after 6 months. The companies customer service is way behind in warranties. Terrible customer service . I WISH I BOUGHT A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURE.

The company said sorry we are a small company and we are way behind. Unbelievable!!!!!

I have had this for a few month with no problems. It gets used 2 to3 times a week and never machine washed. Well the non stick coating is coming off in chunks. Not wore through, but flaking off. It was great at first but didn't last.

I love it. I was scared I wouldn't like how my steak would taste once I cooked it in the air fryer because steak is pricey to buy I surely didn't want to waste my money. But I ended up loving it and I cook my steak in this all the time now with a little grilling rack that I purchased seperately. I put the rack inside it and I place the steak on top of it and air fry it(pictured). The fried chicken(also pictured) I cooked with "no oil" I seasoned it, floured it, and put it in the fryer.It turned out great.It didn't taste dry but I do marinate my chicken in buttermilk so thats probably why it wasn't dry. I find if you use a lot of flour or thicker chicken you may need to use a little olive oil spray after you season and flour it which is still healthier than stove top frying in a pan chicken. I love cooking my fries in this as well. Breaded frozen food that needs heating like mozzarella sticks were great in the fryer as well.

I bought this for my wife, Don't worry other guys! some women love kitchen appliances!, I'm lucky and found one! This stuff is expensive, but the wife tells me this thing makes food taste likes its fried, with out any to much oil. So far only have had one meal. It came out pretty good i loved it.
