Didn't fit the bottles my favorite wine comes in.

These don't really work well for the tall bottles my favorite wine comes in. I am looking for something else that will allow me to store my wine on it's side in the refrigerator after it's been opened. This product looks like a perfect idea, but needs the little ridge that it should lock on to in a specific place on the bottle in order to prevent spills. So this product didn't work for me, but may work for someone else depending on the bottles your favorite wine comes in. The company had been in contact with me by email about what I thought about the stoppers right after I got them and I expressed my disappointment to them by return email. They wrote back to me about providing me with some replacement wine stoppers that may work better for my bottles, but a few months have passed by and I have still not received those replacements at this time. I am sorry I haven't been able to give another version of the stopper a try because I think they are on the right track with this idea.

Great Stoppers for wine on the go!

Bought these for use in a Picnic backpack, which includes space for 2 bottles of wine, and plastic wine glasses. The issue being that if you didn't finish the wine, then you had to find a secure way to recork it - or (gasp!) throw it out.

These locking wine stoppers were the perfect solution, because unlike the vacuum wine stoppers they are secure inside the soft side bag while carrying it around.

Nice design job! Well made. My only itty-bitty complaint is that the company should make the bottle stopper "cork" a bit larger in diameter. My stoppers don't leak - but I can see how they might compress a bit and leak in the future.

Leak proof? Not so much.

This product definitely doesn't do what it claims. When I first took it out of the package it felt like cheaply made plastic, but I continued. I put it on my opened bottle of wine it didn't seem very snug so I had to do it a couple of times. I laid the bottle down in my refrigerator, as the company suggests you can, and it leaked out. Not a lot, about 10ml, but that is still more than their "no more spills" slogan promises. For as much as you're spending I would spend a little more and get better ones.

Definitely not a universal bottle stopper

There are basically two parts to this: the rubber stopper that goes into the bottle opening, and a u-shaped collar piece that snaps onto the neck of the bottle, locking the stopper down. The bottom of the "lip" of the bottle opening-under which the collar portion must go, cannot be greater than 1/2" (~13mm) from the top opening of the bottle. The diameter of the neck of the bottle at just below that "lip" cannot be greater than 1-1/16" (27mm). On the three bottles that I have on hand, there's just no way that the collar piece would snap on.

Awesome little wine stopper!

Love it. I'm not a big wine drinker. Most of the time if I have wine I have a glass and then I forget it's in the fridge for days. I tried different wine stoppers but they all failed. I picked this one and not only is it great with the easy locking but it really keeps things fresh. My wine can stay in the fridge for a month and be great! Also the works great on other glass bottles. I regularly use it on soda bottles if I don't feel like drinking the whole thing. I just pour what I want and pop it back in the fridge for the next day. Still carbonated like I just popped the bottle cap off.

Do not work very well

At random grabbed 2 different wine bottles out of my wine cooler and applied the stopper. Seemed to work well until i bumped the stopper which then loosened it up and when wine bottle was tipped it leaked profusely. The stopper does not expand when lever is locked into place so the bottle neck has to be the perfect size for these to work. Very nice, high quality i wanted to keep them but not when i have to make sure it is the right size bottle i have grabbed....disappointed, returned them

Good for sealing small wine bottle necks!

I bought these since we drink wine occasionally and wanted to be able to keep it in the fridge without ruining the wine. These caps are good, easy to use, have NOT leaked. The only condition is that the wine bottle neck can't be too large or the caps won't close. It fits most bottles, I just had some larger ones it didn't work with.

Relatively Useless

We were excited to have something that would help preserve our open wine bottles as my wife and I tend to drink casually and most of our bottles will be bad before we finish them. I have had this for a couple of months now and have attempted to use it on about a dozen different bottles. Unfortunately, it has not worked on a single one. The design of the product requires the lip of the glass bottle to be a specific height for the cork seal to grab it and latch down. Every bottle we have tried has had too short of a lip to properly fit the product. Perhaps out cheap wines are just designed differently but a word of caution for others who may be interested: this is not a universal fit.

Not happy. Don't waste your money

Used on 4 bottles of wine over a 6 week period. Stored bottles in wine cooler. Worked perfectly. No leaks...until yesterday. Bottle leaked all over the wine cooler and onto my hardwood floors. I tried re-corking the bottle and turning on it's side several times to ensure I hadn't incorrectly inserted the stopper. Nope. Each time it leaked. Not happy. Don't waste your money.

I am so happy with my purchase! I am relatively new to the wine arena and rarely finish a whole bottle at once.

These stoppers are perfect solution. They let me drink at my own pace without fear of spoiling the quality of my wine. If that weren't enough, they're easy to get on and off, no more wrestling with corks! These stoppers are one size, so you do have to understand that they aren't going to fit every single bottle out there. However, for most normal bottles, they're your new best friend. And you can lay them sideways with no fear of spilling.

I purchased these based on the great price for a set of three, and the excellent reviews. Tons of happy customers. And, after seeing how the Avina customer service team operates I am happy to join the ranks of more than satisfied customers!!

Nutshell: these come highly recommended. I'll be giving some as stocking stuffers this year for sure!
