R2D2!!!! What can I say...I'm a star wars nut. Oddly enough, I was looking for a USB hub and because of my constant searching for R2 stuff, this came up in my search as a recommendation. I love this little guy! So far it has worked really well for what I need it for.

My only con for this is that the lights flash 24/7 unless you unplug it. With my gaming PC on standby it flashes...with the PC fully shut down...it flashes too. LOL. Only way to stop it is to cut the power to the computer through the power strip or to unplug R2. I can deal with it though. Luckily the PC is in the living room in my "gaming/streaming center" so I don't see it flashing at night when I am sleeping which would drive me nuts. For those that have it plugged into their computers in their bedrooms, it might be a problem.

The sound is constant too. R2 talks every couple of minutes as well as when you plug or unplug something. You can shut that off with a switch in the back though.

No Lights.

Getting ready to ship it back to Amazon and reorder a second. Lights went out after only a week. Sound and movement working great. Have the black and copper one ( I believe in diversity ) and it's been chugging along great for almost a year. Just a big pain having to re-box it and ship it back. Hope the second one outlasts the first.

Not worth the high price

Purchased for my son who has a roomful of Star Wars items

Although he liked it and thought it was cool. He did say it was not worth the money paid

He said it's more like a $20 item. This before he seen the lights and noises. Then it bumped up to $30-40

Though the price was a bit high for what this actually does, it suited the purpose and looks great on my wife's desk. Just wish whenever you plug a new device into it it would react in some way which it does not. Only when you plug it in for the first time does it beep and boop.

I show this off all the time. It's so cute. I'm a big R2D2 fan. The sound effects are fine, but there could be a little more variety. I was looking for a "screaming" sound effect that R2D2 makes when scared or anxious, but this is fine the way it is. A little pricey, but fun.

You can't turn the friggin' lights off. Bought it for my kids run and it blinks all... night... long. I can see it from the other end of the hallway.
