I waited before buying this. I use a lot of braid with crap scissors and have to put a lot of tension on the line and do a bunch of snips to get through the line. I don't like the feeling of rings, but I watched a bunch of YouTube videos about this and one of the guy puts it on his rod. I tried that and it didn't really work on the smooth part of it but I wrapped it around the base grip on my baitcaster. I noticed it the first couple of casts but not I don't even notice it's there anymore.

It really is super easy. I just slide a line through either side and it's an instant cut. There is not real force needed to have it slice it. It's virtually impossible to get any part of your body (other than hair) in here too so no worries of cutting yourself on it, ever. It's not GREAT with cutting knots in the line but it gets close enough that I can then pull the knot from the loop. But any changed to make that happen might compromise it's safety so I'm cool with working around it. Bought a 2nd one so I have one on the end of each rod.

I gave this to my parents as a gift. They usually use nail clippers for their fishing string. They said this works great and are requesting that I buy another one so they don't have to share.

Bought 2 as Christmas gifts for 2 avid fishermen in our family. I was unsure how they would be received but they both were excited to have this. They both said it would make things easier so they wouldn't have to dig for cutters or use their teeth to cut the line. Fun gift!

Just wanted you to know,I bought the line cutters for my wife and several others for cutting threads while sewing. The love them, they don't have to pick up a scissor. You should market them to sewing store s , also you can't find them at gander mountain or any sport stores Minnesota

Sent this to my son for his birthday (34 years old) and he was SO excited because plans were to head to the coast for his birthday. He readied 2 of his poles and found the device to be FANTASTIC! He loves how easily it works without the worry of trying to cut line with a knife!

Very Convenient for Cutting your Line!

We found the Quick Fishing Line Cutting Solution to be a great addition to our fishing gear. It cuts the line with no problem as the blade is very sharp! Our only complaint is the the Velcro strap is a bulky, scratchy, and uncomfortable. Our solution was to just attach it to a D-ring on our waders.
