Product Description

Construct a LEGO brick model of one of the world's most famous palaces. Located in the heart of London, Buckingham Palace has housed Britain's sovereigns since 1837, when it became the official residence of Queen Victoria, just three weeks after her accession to the throne. The building has since played host to state visits, investitures and private audiences, and in 2015 opened its doors to the general public, offering state room tours. This detailed LEGO building block model focuses on the palace's monumental, neoclassical facade-designed by architect Sir Aston Webb in 1913, and features the famous balcony, forecourt and palace gates. A section of the Mall including a red double-decker bus, black cab and the Victoria Memorial completes this ideal gift that captures the essence of the magnificent palace and one of the world's most dynamic cities.

Features

Beautiful and Fun!

Beautiful set in the Architecture series by Lego. This was my 7th set in the series which have all been a joy to put together. The detail is great and they are fun to build. Beautiful to display as well. This is one of the larger sets so it also takes a little more time to build then the skyline sets. Can't wait for more releases.

A Lego set fit for Royalty!
by Dylan Huggart (5 out of 5 stars)

I have been a Lego fan ever since I can remember, even years later, I still find a set I like from time to time, and this is one of them. The Lego Architecture theme has gotten attention as appealing to old and young alike, a reputation it well deserves. This set was a fun little build, and I am most assuredly going to find a good place on my shelf to put this, and keep it clean and impeccably well dusted. I have some books about the British Royal Family already, and I have lots of other curious and fascinating things on the shelves too, so finding a place to display this will be as easy as finding a pigeon in London. I love this set, it appeals to me as someone who is a fan of the British Royal Family { despite me being from the United States} and it appeals to me as a Lego fan, and being so excited about a Lego set makes me feel like a kid again, or like slipping into an old comfy sweater: so forgive me for the slightly excited and over-enthusiastic tone of this review.

Fun project. Detailed but smaller than I thought.

I loved putting this together. It took some time but directions were pretty clear if you pay good attention. Love the detail. My only disappointment was it was much smaller than I thought it would be. I will however keep doing the LEGO Architecture group. Great adult (read 70 year old female!) fun and good brain work ( my excuse and I'm sticking to

It!)

Not in my top 3 architecture sets that I have, but I don't regret a bit having the Buckingham palace in my collection, its perfect if you want to give a gift to someone that misses London. very good design and simplification of the huge details of the palace, its the right size and a fine selection of colors, great catch!

Perfect/Exceeded Expectations

These Lego's are perfect for my 14 year old Lego fanatic. He LOVES all things Lego's, but we needed more of a challenge. This was awesome when put together, and made him think. Would highly recommend.

Review for buckingham palace
by Suresh Kandula (5 out of 5 stars)
June 26, 2017

The lego buckingham palace was really fun and intresting lego set to build. The lego set was very creative. There was no missing pieces at all and only extra pieces just incase. The lego was really big and the instructions booklet even has the history of the buckinham palace. Something that really stands out is the fountain. Some intresting details that stand out was the telephone both and the car. I really thing the person on the statue stands out. The lego set took 2 hours to build and easy.

You get what you see

It's Lego. Awesome support (mine came with a defective manual, but Lego sent a replacement with no hassle).

I enjoyed this one because it was relatively economic (when I bought it) for the pieces received.

Basically you get what you see.

Do not purchase MISSING PARTS!!!
by Audrey (1 out of 5 stars)

Horribly disappointed. We were able to put the whole palace together to find out LEGO left out 2 important parts! Yes, there are extra pieces but 2 important pieces were not in the package.

More difficult than almost equivalent sets, but worth the time and effort.

Instructions were unnecessarily redundant
