Did I get a not-so Tacky Tape?

See Video for my personal review and why I give it 3 stars. Note: I'm fairly new to vinyl arts and crafts but have had at least 75+ vinyl cuts and transfers. This review is based on having many stressful transfer tape issues with other brands including this one. It doesn't not grab the vinyl from backing like other brands. Overall, still a good tape for the price and I like it over the current brands I've used.

Why is good, clear transfer tape so hard to find?!

I sell decals and I've had nothing but issues with transfer tape. It's either too sticky, or not sticky enough. I ordered this in hopes that it would work but alas; no luck. While it sticks to the vinyl and peels from the backing okay, when you go to apply the vinyl to your surface the vinyl will not release easily from the tape. The only thing I've found to work both ways every time has been paper transfer tape unfortunately it doesn't look at nice, but hey I'd rather have an easy to apply product than something I'm going to have to eat the cost of and reship because it's impossible to apply without ruining the decal. I use nothing but Oracal 651 outdoor vinyl for reference.

AWESOME TRANSFER TAPE

Hallelujah! LOVE this transfer tape! It's nothing short of amazing. It sticks to the vinyl and then leaves it behind on your product. You can also reuse the piece of transfer tape up to about 3-4 times before needing a new piece. The grid on the paper is super helpful! I'll be buying again and again. However I'm just realizing. I am supposed to get that scraper with the roll?

Better than Cricut

This is far better than Cricut's transfer tape.

PROS:
- It has a stronger grip and is much more flexible.
- It's very easy to work with and doesn't bubble up as much as Cricut does.
- The little pink smoother that comes with it is THE BEST! To be honest, I thought it would just sit in the bottom of my craft bin since I have the tools I need. It's great though! It has fabric on it so you don't have to worry about scratching your material.

CONS:
- The roll doesn't seem as thick as I expected it to be (though the cardboard roll in the middle is very wide), but I got a smaller square footage to test out before purchasing in bulk.
- Due to its unnecessarily bulky size, it is difficult to store somewhere discrete, like a craft bin.

I'll definitely be purchasing more.

Great transfer paper

This transfer paper is well worth the price. I've only used it with vinyl so far - it works great. The grids make it easy to cut and line things up evenly and the tinted blue is very translucent so you can see everything you're working with perfectly. The one thing I will say is for those who try to use and re-use their transfer paper, this is not really one you can do that with well. The first use is perfect, the second use will pick up larger things but is a pain to get the intricate things to stick (it is doable though). For the price though, if I can get just one or possibly two uses, it's well worth it!

I highly recommend this product and will most definitely be purchasing again when I run out.

Not working for me with vinyl

I'm actually super confused because this product gets so many positive reviews. I can't get it to pick up anything! I have used the tool that comes with it and lots of pressure to try and get the removable vinyl to adhere to this transfer tape to no avail. Most that I've used in the past are TOO sticky and I can work around that by making them less sticky, but not with one that won't pick anything up.

If anyone can tell me what they think I'm doing wrong or if I might have the wrong or a defective roll that would be great. I'm disappointed because I had a lot of hope. The size of the roll is great and the wrapping is easy to replace with masking tape so it's not hard to store.

I ordered this tape in the hopes of using it with my new vinyl projects. It was much clearer than my previous transfer tape and I like the measuring squares on the backing, however it only worked for half of what it was supposed to. It would pick up the vinyl off of the backing just fine, but then would not release it after applying it to the object. It made for some of the hardest experiences adhering vinyl to surfaces that I've ever had. I'm very disappointed that this transfer tape will not be replacing the tape I use for all my projects.

Perfect tape for perfect placement.

This is by far the best tape I've used. It holds onto the working piece without peeling it back off of the final surface. I've even had to.reposition it on a working piece, with minimal effort to do so. I've used this on a number of different vinyls and have had flawless results every time!

The grid lines make for ideal placement and alignment as you can see from the infantry decal I made. The crossed rifles along with the 11B were cut from white, then overplayed onto a blue cutout I made from the original shape.

This is the second time that I have used this brand of transfer tape. I have to say it's much better quality than the traditional transfer tape that looks like masking tape. The grid lines help me distribute the tape evenly across all of the decals I make which helps reduce wasted product. With it being clear it's also much easier to see any imperfections that there might be in the final product along with making it easier to place the decals on whatever it is that you're applying it to. I've never used traditional transfer tape with my products but because of this tape, I'll for sure not plan on using any other tape any time soon.

It's amazing!

I've searched all over for a reasonably priced transfer tape that works great and this is it. It's clear so doing a multi-layer vinyl transfer was extremely easy. The grid lines are square inches which made both cutting and the multi-layering much easier to line up with out any problems. I was also able to use the same piece for multiple transfers making my Christmas crafting so much easier.

Only downfall I see is it comes on such a large tube that storing it in my limited space was difficult. Easy fix by transferring to a smaller tube.

I will definitely be purchasing this product again.
