I work at an aquarium and I was asked to start interacting with our young guests as a mermaid. Of course I was thrilled to find a cute little suit and get my fins wet! In most clothing I wear a size medium and I thought this would be no different. The suit is a little big. I don't mind too much since I am mostly sitting, but I will be sewing a elastic into the band in case that ever changes. Overall the suit is beautiful and washes well! I just popped it in the gentle wash and they folded it softly over a hanger to let dry. I will actually be purchasing more tails from them in the future! Everyone loved it and of course the little guests stop in amazement! (Thanks for helping make my job more enjoyable and interesting!)

I have been monofinning for about 2 years now (with another monofin brand) but I've always wanted to be mermaid and of course wear a mermaid tail to complete the look. However, because I'm obese (yes I'm faaaaaaat), none of the tails at the time would fit me. Then recently I saw they had an xl adult size so I decided to jump in and try the size. Hallelujah, thanks to the stretchy fabric it fits my fat whale of a button! Monofin is admittedly difficult to put on because of how tight the ankle cuffs are but once on I can swim in it like a breeze. Thank you so much fin fun!

I got this for my 6 year old daughter and after reading some of the reviews about the tips of the tail shredding, I was a bit nervous to sink $100 into one of these (yeah, I went for the expensive color). I went for it anyway because it was still better rated than the others out there. Lo and behold! The company has now begun to coat the tips of the tails in a flexible but tough, silicone plastic so that the pool will no longer scrape and shred the tips of the mermaid tail. So happy! Daughter was so excited that she didn't even care that the water was 70 degrees and went swimming anyway. I love it when a company takes the feedback/complaints and comes up with a good solution.

My 11 year old daughter bought this with her Christmas money and absolutely loves it. She can't wait to get into the pool with it, but for now, she's perfectly content wearing while she's on the sofa watching her favorite mermaid show on tv.

This is great fun for the kids. My daughter loves it and we never go to any pool without it. She was almost 6 when I got it, now after a little more then a year still tight and not falling apart.

But you need to teach them how to take it off when in deep water and ofcourse they should be at least ok swimmers. And after all that, they must be looked after while they are in the water.

Thank you to Ashley and Kelsey. Amazon let me order a color that was out of stock by mistake. Once the error was realized Ashley arranged for a new color and FedEx overnight so my daughter had it by 8am on her birthday! She loves it. Superior quality. It is worth the money.

My daughter absolutely loves it! She's 5'10" medium fits perfectly! she asked for it for her 14th birthday and I thought it was safe since she's an excellent swimmer! Fits like wet suit, dries like swimwear. I couldnt be happier for the purchase.

I got the Maui Splash tail in Adult XS. This tail is amazing! The colors are as expected and it's so easy to swim in once you get the hang of the monofin. It looks great in pictures too! The tail is perfect for average and tall people, but a little long for me, I am 4'9" and 103lbs.

Pros:

Monofin has great, realistic movement

Monofin is extremely comfortable and works for most people's feet, even my boyfriend can wear mine

It's easy to put on the monofin and tail

Reinforced tail tips keep the tail fabric from wearing out as fast

Cons:

The tail fabric gets dirty sort of easily and is not very easy to wash

You can't swim as fast in the monofin as with harder monofins, as it is a bit more flexible

They are out of the limited edition Silver Lightning tail and I'm extremely sad about it. That's not a con for this tail, just for my life.

My 7 year old loves her mermaid tail! It fits her perfectly. We ordered the size 6 since we didn't want it to be baggy. She is on the thin side though.
