These headphones take social media, sound quality to the next level. Really excited for 10 hours in the air this upcoming week. Have owned multiple wireless headphone and the fit and feel far exceeds anything on the market. Finally found something that will give everything I need as I need something I can wear daily. Great job by the team at Muzik. You delivered a product and packing that far exceeded my expectations.

The issues i had with these headphones kinda minor but really affected me when trying to listen to them. If i was outside i could hear wind whistling through the headphones and i would have to turn the music all the way up so i could drown out the wind. Then there is like a padded ring inside the over ear cups that is more solid than it is padded and caused quite a bit of discomfort. the touch control worked good but if anything touches hem they will start doing things like turning you volume down or skipping song. they are a cool idea for a headphone but thats really all your paying for. you can get great quality headphones for cheaper.

Over-Promised, Under-Delivered - Skip This
by HiFi 80s Man (2 out of 5 stars)
June 6, 2018

Originally $299 and now marked down to around $80 (I paid $77 at the time of purchase). I thought I was getting a great deal, but unfortunately, I was wrong.

Seems to be more of a Beta product vs. a final release. ISSUES:

MIC

Does not work well for calls. My voice is simply broken up and callers report I sound like an alien underwater. Choppy, broken up, static, etc. I checked my voice independently by setting my cell phone VM greeting, and lo and behold, what the other callers reported was true. I sounded BAD, really BAD. Additionally, when I reached out to Customer Service, they indicated this is a "known issue", but if it was a problem, I would not have purchased these to begin with. The packaging indicates it "enhances" business, but obviously that's not the case if you can't even use it for calls.

CONTROLS

Touch controls are hit or miss. While troubleshooting is quick to point to "user error" or a "learning curve", that's a cop out in my opinion. I have numerous touch control based headphones and do not have any issues with them, even if they control sensitivity differs between them. Responsiveness is poor and only works about 60% of the time. There seems to be a delay, so when you swipe, you'll have to wait a sec or so before you can do it again. If you have the app open, it seems to further delay the responsiveness, as if the controls are read by the app first as a priority before anything else in the chain. It should be noted the app wants to auto-launch when you turn on the headphones.

SOUND

Meh. Description states "High-definition sound means hyper clear performance for music", which is just false. The sound is OK, but it's in no way "hyper clear", nor does it have much of a bass impact. The entire sound is very "laid-back", meaning highs aren't quite that high (no sparkle), mids aren't that transparent, and lows are not well defined or apparent. The bass, particularly, has some sub-bass, but it's not very deep, rich, defined, or solid, and is somewhat low in response/volume or "soft". The mid-bass and high-bass is not very present and sounds muted, so you get the soft sub-bass, but no "punch" or "emotion" when listening to tracks with bass hits. I purchased some generic Bluetooth headphones for my son on the same day I ordered these, and those generic $28 wireless headphones sound better!
"SMART" FEATURES

Good idea, and some of the features are nice, such as identifying a track when your listening to music and can't access your smartphone. However, many other features require location services to be activated, but when attempting to activate, it automatically shuts off location services. I go back and then turn it back on, but it repeatedly shuts location services off again. This is the only app that does this on my phone. Location services on all other apps work fine.

UPDATES/FIRMWARE

Part of the appeal, and in fact what is advertised on the box, are updates through the app. While that is great in concept, if there are no updates to fix any of the issues, it's completely useless. I reached out to Customer Service and they indicated they have "limited resources", so that basically sounds like nobody is working on anything and don't expect anything.

BUILD

The only redeeming quality is the build, which feels solid and made with metal in key areas. This is the only reason I can give it 2 stars.

How do I sum this up in a word.....Bummer
by Brad (2 out of 5 stars)
November 9, 2017

I should start off by saying that I purchased these because I saw Phil Heath (7 time consecutive Mr Olympia 2011-2017) using them in a lot of his workout videos on YouTube. I am a huge fan of Phil Heath and the sport of bodybuilding. I am a gym rat myself and spend anywhere from 8-12hrs a week at the gym. During those periods of time I MUST have my music or I can't get into my zone.

Seeing Phil using these while he worked out peaked my interest. Mainly because they looked awesome, I had never seen them anywhere else, and I figured someone like Phil who spends pretty much his life in the gym as a career, the man must have good taste in audio equipment to work out with.

I like you searched the internet for something in depth in terms of a product review. I found a couple of small articles posted but nothing of substance. None warned of any negatives and all sounded good so far though none were really that detailed, just a quick overview with a pro vs con. I continued my research on YouTube and could only find a handful of videos on them. Again nothing that was really that in depth. There was only one that mentioned anything negative in terms of audio quality and clarity.

So with everything looking pretty positive and the fact that I like the aesthetics of them I decided to pull the trigger and I received them yesterday.

The packaging is very nice and well put together. The case they came in is a sleek but tough hard shell exterior and soft felt interior. The finish on the case is well done and closes with a solid zipper. I am very impressed with it. In side the case is a soft cotton pouch that contain the headphones. The pouch is like a nice crown royal bag but a bit thicker. Also inside the hard case was a mesh elastic pouch sewn into it that has the aux cable and usb cable for charging.

Now the headphones themselves.

Physical Appearance:
- My first impression? Simply put, BEAUTIFUL!! I mean wow these things are made so well and are just slick looking. Man I am just so happy with the aesthetics of these I am smiling at them. They look even better in person than when I say Phil Heath wearing them. I think to myself "I cannot wait to hit the gym with these on my head."
- They are certainly well made and feel substantial and heavy duty. Not overly heavy but sturdy. Very sturdy.
- The head band is a sweet aircraft flexible aluminum that is beautifully curved at the sides to hold the cans. Its a nice matte black finish with the label etched into the top.
- The pad on the headband is a soft silicone rubber with a good amount of give/squish to it. It seems to sit across my scalp nicely. Also the fact that its a silicone rubber it wouldn't degrade like a delicate leather after I sweat into it time and time again. I can just wipe it off.
- The ear cups are interchangeable for either on or over ear. They are made of what feels like a very fine lambskin leather.
- The look on my head was just as I had hoped and I was very impressed and happy. Off to the gym I went with them charging all the way the way there.

Now here is where things went terribly awry. I get to the gym, put them on, throw on my playlist, my eq is already set the way I like it on my iphone and off I go out to the floor. Within seconds I realized something was not right. I thought maybe I didn't have them on my head right. I adjusted them several times but nothing changed. I then started changing songs, different bands, different genre...."something is off, what gives?" After trying all sorts of songs for the first 5-10 minutes I start screwing with my eq settings, adjusting the eq in different apps I have, adjusting the eq in the factory itunes eq and so on....

After I found something that "sort of" worked with these, I began my workout as normal. I thought maybe since they were new and I am normally accustomed to using earbuds in the gym that I need to adjust. So I did my entire workout.

During that time I listened to over 90 minutes of music that I listen to all the time accross various platforms. I have multiple pairs of cans I use (some high end, some mediocre) , multiple pairs of earbuds (some high end, some mediocre), and I have a nice sound system at home and in my truck. I am used to things sounding slightly different across different manufactures, different form factors, and different environments with varying acoustics. I am not a top tier audiophile but I am no slouch and have some high end stuff. My audio pallet ranges from a $75 pair of ear buds to a $3,000 pair of custom made IEMs, a $150 pair of sony cans to a $1500 pair of Hifiman's, and a $3500 audio system from Alpine and Focal in my truck.

I am only giving the cost of things I own to give a representation of what I am comparing them to.

It was VERY obvious right out the gate that these things are not good in terms of audio. They are not tuned or voiced correctly at all. There is also something strange going on with what sounds like very heavy compression of the drums or any loud frequencies. It's almost like a revers noise gate, where rather than tamping down the space in between deliberate sounds, it actually seems to effect the deliberate sound and then release in the gaps. You can actually hear it happening as a snare drum is about to hit, or a bass drum is about to hit, or a cymbal crash is about to take place.

You know your music, I know my music. These are some of my favorite songs and I know when the snare is going to pop and these just suck all the punch out of it. The sound bleeds over substantially as well, creating distortion in clarity and bad sound stage. These also do not create a very good sense of space in the sound mix. It just seems like its all crammed in at the 12 o clock position in your head. There were also elements and parts of the song that just didn't even appear.

I'm not going to go on any further. You get the point. These guys absolutely hit it out of the park with the fit and finish but completely missed on the sound. That leaves me to believe that these were basically being sold on the gimmicky smart features that they come with. I'm not going to get into that because its not why I bought them. I bought these for looks and sound. They only came in at 50% in my book which is bad....its an F.

I am sending these back. I would definitely not recommend these to anyone with any taste or ear for a quality or expert sound mix. I actually would have to say that the Beats Studio Wireless are vastly greater in terms of sound, and that is a painful statement to make. I think the Beats are crap also, especially in durability. So thats saying a lot.

I know that sounds harsh but man I am just so disappointed with these. I wanted so badly to keep these but I just can't.

Overpriced Junk! poor quality, performance and customer service.
by Justin B. (1 out of 5 stars)
December 8, 2018

I originally purchased these headphones back in late 2016. They lasted a few months of use. Eventually the top headband snapped in the middle, which appears to be a common problem.

At the time I tried contacting the company for a response, because it was not a case of misuse it was a case of a defective product (adult owned and stored in carrying case when not in use). Called, left voicemails and emailed with no response. I originally paid almost $300 for these headphones.

I have noticed the company has become active again on their social media. This is concerning since this is where I found them originally. So I decided to post this review to warn any potential buyers that I have an unwearable $300 set of headphones.

As for the headphones they performed subpar for the price point. Battery life and ease of use was not on par with others in the original price range. They were also uncomfortable after more than an hour or so of continuous use and the microphone on them was unusable for phone calls.

Bought for my daughter for xmas 2016. She loved these until one day the top head band snapped. Pretty cheap plastic for the price paid. It might be her fault from use, but I have called and emailed the company many times with no response. All I'm trying to ask is can I buy the part or pay to get them fixed. Horrible customer service. One year use to throw in the trash.

Great product!! I must admit that I do not utilize all the "features" that these headphones offer but the battery life incredible. I took them out of the box, connected them to my phone and have used them almost everyday for the past 2 weeks and still have not had to charge them.

great headphones. of course its just like beats but by another brand. with the interchangeable ear cups it will magnetize right on/off. Unfortunately i think the muzik one's being sold by Merlin trading are slightly cheaper than the more expensive original muzic ones sold by the company it still works for me. final answer: take a chance getting them from Merlin trading for a great price, but to ensure the best of the best you should buy from the original company as the quality is drastic in difference.

I bought these in feb. bc I saw them on Von Miller. Within a week of having em the zipper broke on the case and a month of light use the head rubber/silicon pad is coming apart or peeling from the top band . I have tried writing amazon and muzik one support on their website and never heard back on possibly replacing the product. Sound quality is great but I will never re purchase this brand

AMAZING HEADPHONES FROM UNPACKING, 2 HEADPHONES THEMSELVES, THE MOST IMPORTANT PART . . SOUND WAS TE
by TEAM GEORGE FITNESS (2 out of 5 stars)

****this is an important review to read for anyone considering these****

I was scoping these headphones out ever since Mr. Olympia Phil Heath became sponsored by them because i did not want to buy into the trend of buying BEATS headphones for the fact that they were overpriced, whored-out headphones that everyone and their mother was buying.

These Muzik ONEs were absolutely promising. they look amazing, the construction is top notch, the smart phone features is cutting edge and the sound is supposed to rival the best.

fast forward still keeping these in mind. Bought my wife BEATS SOlO2's, and to me they sound awesome! hard hitting bass you can truly feel, easy connect and and no muddling of vocals or muddy bass. she absolutely loved them. i just thought too small for me i want bigger. Matte Black Studio Series BEATS go on sale for 229.00. i couldn't pass it up if wife's sound that good, these have to be AMAZEBALLS. bought em hooked them up and i was right they sound incredible to me. BASS you can feel, no issue with vocals. happy . . .UNTIL . . .about as early as 10 minutes in wearing them, my ears start to hurt not from sound but the cups/cushions themselves. really annoying!!! painful even. because the cushions have no articulation like the BOSE which are theeeee most comfortable ever. longer story short . . .the studio wireless sound awesome but are dreadful to wear for short or long periods of time. terrible!!! so i sold them!!

time to buy the MUZIK ONES . . . .woohoo!!! so i get me some black ones and i couldn't be more excited!!!

upon delivery and removing the plastic on box i was already impressed. even the quality of the box was top notch and felt that way as well. open them up and its like an expensive piece of jewelry/watch. impressed more and more. They come in a premium bag that reminds of Crown Royal in a sense but 1000x nicer of course lol. and a hard case that holds all the connections as well/USB/AUDIO CABLE. OVERALL SPECTACULAR PRESENTATION

CONNECTION: They came almost fully charged, so i hit the small power button on, it turned orange and i heard a small generic chime, no cool melody like a samsung product or the BEATS i had. THey prompted me to get the MUZIK app from the app store. Got it! very very cool and it walks you through all the steps of connecting the headphones to your smart phone and assigning functions to all the smart buttons. awesome

WAIT FOR IT . . . .

SOUND: ok first things first i go to all my music on my iphone 6+ and play something i have bought and/or downloaded from the store as the quality should be topnotch. for this example: Chainsmokers - Roses because of the vocals and killer bass notes that drop. I hit play, and the volume is low so i crank them all the way up, and listen . . .still listening . . .beat drops . .still listening . .by this time I'm hardly impressed. so benefit of the doubt i mess with the EQ settings on my iphone which changes things literally a pinch. so far the music is "clear" that's about it. NO bass punch at all . . im squinting my eyes to try and feel some kind of low notes and NOTHING. I still have hope so i try the different ear cushions, MUZIK eq settings, and NOTHING, the overall sound is super disappointing honestly. I reached out to MUZIK customer service chat to let them know the scenario. we go through some settings, and i also try different devices like my wifes iphone 6+ and my ipad, AND with the audio cable as well. SAME ISH!!!! at this time all hope is gone for me. I'm going to return them and get either BOSE QC35 which are a lot more expensive but worth every cent as im a long time bose user and believer. From the sport headphones to the sound link bluetooth speakers at home. love them!!!

One more test to confirm if i have duds, bad hearing or if the headphones audio is plain terrible. I get that same song . . .chainsmokers roses and play it on the muzik headphones and have my wife listen. then i hook up the BEATS SOLO2's and play the same song . . . HOLY SH++ what a 180 degree difference. sending these back and immediately buying the BEATS SOLO 3's which are even better than the 2's and about $100 cheaper than the QC35. bottomline I was super disappointed and wanted to love these really really bad. so bummed guys soooo bummed. MUZIK team . . steal some beats and BOSE headphones and replicate the sound. problem solved.

so anyone considering these . . . take a song like i used as an example and try these headphones at BEST BUY (which mine didnt have available) or BROOKESTONE. then try the BEATS solo3's and BOSE and you'll hear richer deeper sound by light years with the other two headphones.

i implore you to test them first.
