ABOUT THE CAPRICORN PRESS STAR MAP
This wide format Star Map print is based on a restored and very rare Antique Constellation Map from 1849, but also has a Modern feel. It was originally drawn by a ship captain as he sailed the seas to map the stars.

These are his instructions on how to view this map: "The months marked at the foot of the map are to show the aspect of the Equatorial Heavens about midnight. By noting the stars on the map immediately over the name of the month, and then looking at the sky in the opposite direction to the elevated pole, the different constellations will readily be recognized. In Southern latitudes, reverse the map."
