My chiropractor has an expensive machine that does something similar to stretch your neck. He also will manually stretch my neck when I am on the table for a few seconds. I like the decompression, but I am really active and I can't travel to his office last minute. THIS DEVICE (as goofy as it looks) is magically. I seriously feel like I'm floating in air after a minute or less with this. I only need to use it once maybe every 2-3 days. I have started incorporating it into my meditation routine. It just feels nice to have the weight of your head lifted for just a moment.

This thing is a life saver. I have a herniated disc in my neck and been dealing with nerve pain for weeks now. I received this traction device and been using it twice a day now. My pain has considerably diminished and only been using it 6 days now. If you suffer from the same issue I highly recommend you get one of these.

Edit to add: since leaving the negative review they have contacted me, apologised, and informed me they have sent out a replacement. Like I said, my friend has the same thing and I wanted to give it five stars, so I changed it. I love the way this thing works, and the customer service is great if there is an issue.

I would LOVE to give this a 5 star review. A friend of mine has the same one and I loved it when I borrowed it. But mine stinks. The odor coming off of it is intense. It smells so strong I don't want it on my body, especially near my face. I tried to deoderize it but so had it hasn't worked.

As advertised. Works great! I have FIVE bulging discs in my neck and, after researching how to use traction online, I use it laying down as it needs less traction, for 1 minute on and then 20 seconds released, repeat. It works better than the expensive one at the chiro office! I had either an adjustment or the bulging disc fixed itself as I heard and felt it happen. It was so SORE for 2 days but then was able to start healing after WEEKS of no relief, even after 3 chiros, 9 massages, and 2 acupuncture appointments! I did have a cervical plexus injection (natural products) which also greatly helped with the inflammation. This product is also great for supporting the neck while driving, which is killer with neck bulges. I can see traveling with it as a pillow too on airplanes, etc. I am a normal sized female and it just fits. If I were any smaller it would not be that great of a fit.

This neck pillow is a game changer! My boyfriend (the goofy one pictured) and I have constant neck and shoulder pain from our office jobs. This thing is our end of the work day relief, and it works like a charm! We bought one for his mother too, and we all love it! It's kept me from having to pay a chiropractor!

Excellent support without choking you

This is my second purchase of an inflatable neck brace. My first one was just two tier and worked well enough, but kind of choked me when it was inflated enough to do some good. I bought this one just because it looked like it might get more "lift" and head support without constricting the neck- boy was I right! Totally an excellent item for neck pain. I get really miserable spasms from working on sewing. This neck brace gives me total relief for the day after only 15 or 20 minutes of wear. How it works is just giving your neck a little rest from all that strain and it relaxes those discs in your neck to let them reinflate taking the strain off your nerves in the spinal cord. I don't really care that much how it works so much as long as it does work to get relief from neck pain!

It has Super good support without constricting around the throat area, so it is a lot more comfortable.. It's a real life saver (pardon the comparison- but it is)

It takes my neck pain away in a short period of time. I know I have degenerative discs and this device takes the pressure off of what is causing my pain. I like it better than the posture pump. I have tried many things but this is the best.

Not for men with large necks

Received today after reading reviews, the product itself is nicely made, and seems to be made of materials that reflect the price that i was charged.

However if you have a larger neck this is not the device for you, by the time i had pumped it enough to even start to feel a lifting pressure the velcro straps were cutting into my neck / underchin area. I continued pumping to try and get some of the relief the device promised, and yes it is capable of providing support and relief, but at the expense of extreme discomfort and the loss of air / blow flow to your head.

I would recommend this product to any one of a smaller size.

I've had a pinched disk in my neck for years and this is an easy and effective way to alleviate some of the pain. In the past I have used an over the door type traction unit but it's bulky and inconvenient. I've only had this item about a week but have seen some considerable improvement in sleep, mobility etc. It's a bit uncomfortable to get used to (I suggest 5 minute increments to begin) and I would recommend guidance from a physical therapist or other medical bubba prior to use but it is absolutely a viable option for chronic neck pain. I'm leaving for a day of flights across country and plan to use this inflight for napping and to relieve the inevitable stress pain. It was shipped quickly (three days?) and rcvd in great shape. Would definitely recommend to anyone with neck pain secondary to injury or arthritis, but again, with some medical guidance first.
