The Smart Swab is a new and innovative ear cleaner. It is a patented ear wax removal tool which allows you to clean your ears safely and comfortably. Our disposable, soft spiral grooved head is designed to go the perfect distance into the ear and gently remove ear wax. It's never been easier or safer to clean your ears. You simply insert the flexible tip into the ear canal and twist the handle in the direction of the arrow. The tip is designed to capture excessive wax easily and prevent earwax buildup in the ear canal. After cleaning your ears, you can simply dispose the silicone tip and replace it with a new one.

Ear wax production varies among people and ears are not supposed to be cleaned very often. On average, we suggest using the product once or twice a week to remove the excess ear wax and maintain a clean & healthy ear canal.

Here's how to use it for wax removal

It's true that the product does not remove wax by simply twisting in the ear. After lots of frustration, I tried closing my ear canal (by pushing up with my index finger on the base of my ear) while the swab was inside. While maintaining a closed ear canal with my finger pushing, I twisted the swab for a few rotations and voila, a cleaner ear canal! Using that method, not only did the swab remove lots of wax but also didn't push wax into my canal like a normal cotton swab. It's sad that I had to find this adaptation but I will never go back to swabs now that it's working for me. Hopefully, this helps someone.

Doesn't work

This product sucks. My husband was the first to try and his ears are just too big apparently because it didn't get anything and he said how can it get anything if it's not against the ear canal. I used it on both of my kids right after bath time and nothing. I decided to use a cotton swab after and sure enough - pic speaks for itself. We like the logic behind the product but it just doesn't work.

I am very disatisfied, the tip doesn't stay attached it falls off in my ear. Nothing was pulled out of my ear, and I had discomfort afterwards. The product just didn't work for me.

I got the exact same product (as far as i can tell) from Walgreens, and it was lovely. Never had such clean ears. Then I got this, and it just doesn't work. The tips are smaller, or something, so they don't clean properly. The connection is really flimsy, so the tips just come off in my ear.

This might be child-sized, now that I think of it, though there's no indication of that deliberately being the case.

I like the tips, though. Silicone rubber that bends and flexes easily, doesn't hurt or scratch at all.

I recently tried this out and I loved it! I have always been somewhat worried about pushing a q-tip too far and it causing deafness or permanent damage. But with this product it wont let you push it too far. Ear wax is not a negative thing although usually unpleasant. The purpose of ear wax is to protect the ear canal by coating the ear but the problem is created when there is a buildup of wax. So do not try and force this into your ear to completely remove all wax, just the wax that is old and has been naturally pushed out to the outer part of the canal. The tip has conveniently placed arrows at the end of each side directing you which way to turn the device. Another nice thing about this is that it comes with multiple replacement heads.

Is it really a surprise an "as seen on TV" product doesn't work? No not really. But I was hopeful. These don't work, they are huge and nothing comes out but if I put a stop (yeah I know) in my ear, there is wax on it.

Too big

They are way to big for my ears, I tried to use it and it made my ears hurt. Great concept needs a lot of work. Not every ear is the same and for me it's too big which cause discomfort just trying it.

Waxy Ears Rejoice

Great product if your ears produce a lot of wax. My ears are pretty lacking in the wax department so it wasn't very useful for me(still fun to try out). On the other hand, my SO produces quite a bit of earwax and was able to get a lot out with just one use. I like that the tips are reusable (after cleaning) and overall the device seems very durable. Also, the tips are not sharp or irritating to the ear.
