I've had my Halo Bolt for less than a month and have already used it numerous times to jump-start vehicles. It is so easy to use and definitely beats lugging out jumper cables and worrying about positioning the vehicles so the cables can connect the battery in the opposite vehicle. This is self-contained and simple. In just a few seconds, the green light comes on and the car is ready to start. I only wish that I could take these on the plane when I travel. THESE ARE NOT ALLOWED ON AIRPLANES (not even in checked luggage)!

Ran a 70 watt light for two hours

I just received the charger today. I fully charged it and plugged into a 70 watt light and it ran for almost two hours. I just bought it for my son as he has a sub pump in his basement and if the power goes off he needs something to keep it working. The pump will only run as needed so I am hoping this will do the trick till the power would come back on. Will keep you updated.

Worked as advertised

I used it for the first time yesterday when my car would not start. I suspected the battery had failed since recent start ups seem to be less vigorous. I had to jump start my car three times in the morning before taking it in for electrical checkup and battery replacement. The Bolt worked as advertised and it was easy to operate which was a relief given the need to continue using my car with a deaf battery before I could find the time to take the car for repair. I bought two of the Halo Bolts, one for the car and one for the home and as a backup.

Not what I needed nor expected...

I purchased this product for a long road trip for my computer to charge. My laptop battery only lasts about four hours and I needed something to charge it. It charged it slowly and took 4 hours to charge completely and by then the HALO battery was depleted and needed to be charged itself. I needed it to be more than that and it's claims that it could last longer are not true for what I needed it to do. I drive long distances more than 8 hours and I need my computer. So I was looking for something more. Unfortunately, because I took a three week trip, by the time I came back to return this item I was literally 1 day late to return this product.

I do not recommend this product, I'd rather have spent a little more money and got something else than wasted $160 in this.

It did charge phones, but again slow to charge and depleted it to one bar after a couple hours for two phones.

this machine will not charge two cellular telephone without haveinf to recharge it. not impressed thinking about returning it. worst purchase for me so far on amazon.

Great concept, but doesn't work well for laptops

I bought this to supplement my laptop battery, which runs down fast when it's working hard. The problem is that the Halo's inverter can only supply 70w. That's enough to run the laptop OR charge the battery, but not both. That means you can't plug it into the Halo to keep working when the laptop battery runs down. You would have to know you'll need it and plug it in, let it charge, then start using the laptop. And that is nowhere near as practical as I was hoping.

I did use the car starter and that worked very well. But once I get a new car battery I won't need the halo for that for 3-5 years. So it isn't serving much of a purpose.

Buyer Beware!!

I bought this unit as a back up power supply for my cell phone.It should have charged my phone around 15 times,if it were actually 58830 Mwh,but after a full charge barely charged my cell phone 1 time with a little juice left over,so I rate it around 4000 or so.

After receiving a faulty return label I did finally receive a good one,was able to return the unit and receive a refund.

The phone # provided by the company is for someone's home who speaks very poor English and says it's a wrong #.

I actually purchased a few of these on QVC a few years ago-bought one for hubby and one for son. This product is amazing! My hubby has a Toyota Tundra and had a weak battery and this product jumped his truck on multiple occasions until we bought a new car battery. We've used this to help our neighbors, too. It's portable (easy to store in car), easy to use and includes a flash light and phone charging option. One full charge can jump a car/truck multiple times! This recent purchase was for a friend-he borrowed ours for a camping trip and loved it. A great gift idea for those with an older or newer vehicle.
