This gives the old school pistol grip a new meaning. This shifter is just too cool to explain it. It does feels like a real revolver which is pretty cool on my book. Couple of things, the trigger does move but it doesn't do it to shift the gear on automatics which defeat the purpose of the trigger. You have to push down to shift. I actually took one of the grips out to adjust the travel distance because the shift assembly on my car is low. If you drive a GTO of any late model Pontiac with automatic, you will need to shave the shaft on your car since it is too wide for this one or any aftermarket shifter. Beside minor things, I love the shifter.

Everything but the grip is metal, the grip is a finished, shiny plastic that for the look, doesn't look like plastic until you touch it. I installed it on a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the adapters weren't to size so I took a drill bit and widened the too small one and it fit perfectly.

The instructions absolutely suck!!! Look at the pictures and figure it out type of thing.

To install it, on top, the adapter, the middle the spring, and for the bottom some other metal piece, hard to explain. Then there are three lock screws where you fasten it to the shift knob on the car from different views. It may be confusing but again, I figured it out and installed it in 25min.

Nice grip , but very poorly done adapters they are made of plastic that slide over shifter shaft and set screws tighten down on the shifter shaft that are all to short to tighten to a snug fit / BUT AFTER I was finished with a custom adapter I made from aluminum -and a good polishing ,a perfect fit for my tundra and this is a good adapter threaded to screw on the 8mm with a 1.25 thread pitch awesome fit I will post pics

I love this shifter its absolutely what i wanted and its like really well made and looks good. it shines and isn't all like cheap looking or anything. it fits pretty good. ( i have a 5 speed eclipse spyder) i did have to go back and re-tighten it the first time i did it because while i was driving it came off which was fine cuz its on a pole so i just made sure i didn't pull upwards while i was shifting but i re-tightened it and so far so good. there are little indents in the pole where u can tighten the screws into but they are too high up and it wouldn't look right at all if i put the screws there because u would then see the pole which is the only complaint i have. Other than that i cant wait to get the compliments i know im gonna get when im driving my car with my top down and people see this thing....my only other worry is the cops and their crazy selves thinking its a real gun and my behind getting shot lol (a nervous lol might i add) ;)

Not what I expected

I haven't installed it yet but just from holding it and opening everything it's not at all what I thought. The trigger is a "dummy" trigger. It's just for looks. It moves but it has no real purpose. You actually just push down on it to shift gears in an automatic. Debating if i wanna keep it or send it back.

Very poor mounting system. Had to redesign mounting system . Nice looking shifter but I mounted the correct nut for my shifter and the put tube spacer in to be able to tighten nut.

The screw wouldn't go in to tighten the pistol handle. I asked for help and they did nothing. At least, it still works because the trigger does nothing. You just need to push the pistol handle down. Also, the metal on the handle is real. So, it can get too hot or too cold to touch, and it's uncomfortable. I'm going to replace it with another shift knob soon, anyway.

I bought this shift knob to replace my old one on an EMPI shifter for a 1976 VW Baja Bug. The knob itself is awesome, and requires some simple assembly, which is pretty well detailed in the instructions. The mounting "adaptors" that were included are just little soft plastic caps, which were torn apart in the first use, because the shifter uses three screws to tighten into the adaptor. When this occurred, the knob fell off. What I did was to get a hexagonal nut that screwed onto my shifter, and tightened the knob onto that. The shift knob hasn't moved since, and is extremely sturdy. You might have to rework how to mount it, but for the price it's definitely worth it, and it looks awesome!

after I purchased this and found out it will not screw on my 14 focus it has set screws that hold it in place. After the first 2 weeks it came loose and I had to go in and tighten the screws up again. If I new it did not screw on like it stated I would have not purchased it.
